Chapter two

"Long live the king and the queen!" The people cheered as the royal couple passed by them. Sugawara smiled at everyone and when his eyes met Kageyamas, the black haired felt something deep inside his heart. He felt loved. The feeling faded away, as Sugawara went to the horse-drawn carriage with Daichi. They both sat inside, waved at the people and then rode in the carriage to the castle.
Kageyama had teary eyes, he blinked his tears quickly away before Hinata could see them, but apparently, his phoenix felt the same. He jumped off his best friends shoulder, slowly changing into his human form. Tears were streaming down his face, he looked after the carriage in shock. "Hinata..." the orange haired whispered, whipping his tears away. "Yeah you're right..." Kageyama whispered back, taking a deep breath. "C'mon, the crowd is following the new royal couple, we should use this chance and steel some food." He mumbled as he took his friends hand, going to the market. Hinata nodded a bit, already calmed down. He jumped, transforming himself into a phoenix and landing on Kageyamas shoulder.
As they had stolen enough food, they went back to their cave in the forest. "Man, we really hit the jackpot! We even managed to steal some sweets!" The black haired was really proud of it, Hinata crowed happily in respond. "Stop right here kids." A deep voice was heard and three tall men stood in front of them. "Our king is down, but we stay loyal to him. Kageyama Tobio, you will help our king to get his crone back." As he saw the men and heard their voice, pictures of his past and emotions were coming up. He fell down on his knees, starting to scream. Hinata was shocked and didn't understand why his friend was acting like that. He crowed angrily flying in front of the black haired, trying to protect him.

                { Sugawara's POV }

As the royal couple entered their bedroom, the queen exhaled, taking off his dress and bodice. He put his hair in a ponytail and stretched himself after it. "Hah...To be a woman is kinda hard, how do they manage to wear this all day?" He shook his head, putting on some pants and a tunic shirt, which was his husbands. "I told you, you don't have to be a woman, I love you the way you are..." Daichi smiled, wrapping his arms around his hip and kissing his neck softly. Sugawara chuckled, turned himself around in Daichis arms, kissing him once. "I know I know you little charmer. But the kingdom needs a queen, not another king. And my family prepared me for this. So don't worry, you already saved me from that place.." he smiled brightly, what made Daichis heart skip a beat. "You're really perfect, you know that?" Daichi said as he kissed his forehead. "Why are you such a sycophant? We will have sex tonight, to celebrate our coronation." Sugawara laughed, freeing himself out of his husbands arms and putting on some leather boots.
Daichi blushed, coughing slightly. "T-That was not my intention, sweetheart..." he mumbled embarrassed, scratching his neck. "I know I know..." Sugawara chuckled. "I'll take a little walk, okay?" He kissed his husbands cheek, putting on a coat. "What? Now? Should I go with you? Yes I should, maybe some people would att-" he got interrupted by his beloved. "Daichi, you are worrying too much. I'll be fine and you would sense it, if something happens to me anyway. I won't be long." The king sighed and gave in, he couldn't resist his 'wife'. "Okay...I love you...And please take care of yourself." He sighed again. Sugawara nodded in respond. "Love you too!"

He went to the forest, taking a deep breath from the fresh air. Karasuno is really beautiful...
He thought, when suddenly he heard some screams. The queen didn't even hesitate and ran towards the screams. What he saw shocked him. A young black haired boy had a spear in his hands out of a black material, Sugawara didn't know. Next to him was an orange haired boy, who had fists out of fire. The black haired boy pierced his spear through an already dead man over and over, yelling 'die'. The other on incinerate two other corpses, with the flames which were coming out of his hands. All corpses had thick black-purple veins around their body.
The black haired stopped, slowly turning around to face Sugawara. His eyes were full of madness. "Die die die..Everyone die..." he whispered over and over forming another spear. Sugawara took a deep breath and stepped forward. Hinata transformed himself into his phoenix form, crowing angrily. The queen could feel the heat from his flames, even though there was a big distance between them.
As Kageyama started to run yelling and Hinata flew next to him, he was faster, Sugawara spread his arms, looking at them and smiled warmly. They both saw how angel wings started to form themselves out of Sugawaras back. But each feather was out of a warm white light.
And then, Kageyama saw a bright white light and suddenly, he woke up in his old room. "W-What...?" He was confused, looking around himself. I will show you your deepest desire...
A soft voice said. Kageyama slowly stood up. "Who are you? Where am I? Answer me!" He yelled angrily, when suddenly the door opened. "My little crow, breakfast is ready." The black witch smiled at him. The black haireds eyes widened. "Mother...?" As he realized it was really her, he ran as fast as he could to her, hugging her tightly. "Mommy..." He cried, burying his face in her tummy. She raised him up, kissing his forehead softly. "Hey...Hey...Stop crying, my little crow. Everything is fine.." she smiled softly, carrying him down to the kitchen. "Hinata!" A happy voice said. Kageyama turned around, facing his best friend. "Your little friend came to visit you." She chuckled, sitting her son on the chair and whipping his tears away. "Hinata, you're here?" He couldn't believe it, but somehow he smiled brightly and never felt happier in his life before. They all started to eat breakfast, making jokes and laughing loud. Kageyama completely lost his sense of time, having too much fun. "Do you want to go with me to the market?" His father said, smiling at the two kids. "Yes!" "Hinata!" They both said simultaneously and giggled.

Sugawara looked at the two sleeping boys, stroking softly their hair. They had tears on their cheeks, but were smiling. Both dreamed a different way of how their life could be. Suddenly he heard some footsteps, as he turned around he saw Daichi.
"Who attacked you? Did you get hurt? Can you stand up?" As he saw the corpse (the other two are dead embers)he started to panic, walking to him, still not noticing the two sleeping children, who had their heads on his husbands lap. "Psh...Stop being loud. I'm fine, just got a small burn and scratch." He whispered, smiling down at them both. "Suga, you're hurt, your arm is bleeding and there's lay-" Daichi followed his beloved gaze, opening his eyes widely. "W-What...? Who are they?" The king whispered, kneeling down next to him. "They both had a real heavy past." Silence.
"Daichi...? One day, we need a successor...I know we are still young, but we need one. And I will never be able to give birth..." His voice died down, but Daichi understood what his husband wanted to tell him. He took a deep breath, nodding a bit. "Okay...But let's take them to the castle, we shouldn't stay here...And if they don't want to stay with us, we won't force them." he mumbled, lifting Kageyama up carefully. "Yes!" Sugawara smiled happily, stroking Hinatas tattoos and kissing his forehead, what made him change into his phoenix form. He stood up with Hinata in his arms, flinching a bit because of the pain he felt. "Should I take the phoenix? Suga, you're arm...And you use too much power right now." Daichi looked at his beloved worried. "No no, I'm just a bit tired. Let's go.." he mumbled and they both went to the castle.
The royal couple laid the two boys on the big bed, covering them in a blanket. Sugawara nearly fell down on the ground, but Daichi managed to hold him before he would fall. He smiled at his king, stroking his cheek. "I know that you would always be on my side and that you would always catch me before I would fall...I love you so much, Daichi." Sugawara whispered, closing his eyes. He was very tired. Daichi sighed a bit, pulling him close to his chest. "I would always rescue you sweetheart...But please don't over power you..." The king mumbled and kissed his queen soflty.

                 {Kageyama's POV}

"I think they are waking up..."
"Are you sure...? His eyes are still closed."
"I can see that they are closed, idiot! But I think he's waking up."
"Don't call me idiot! I'm sorry sweetheart..."
Kageyama heard those sentence muffled, slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "Huh...? Mother..? Father?" He blinked a bit, until he opened his eyes completely. In front of him was a beautiful woman in men's clothes and a worry-looking man. "Hey...My name is Sugawara and this is Daichi. You are in the castle of Karasuno. You don't have to be afraid, we won't hurt you...We want to help you." He smiled softly. Kageyama hadn't heard everything, looking after Hinata. As he saw that the small boy was sleeping next to him, he relaxed, looking at Sugawara again, but saying nothing. He forgot all what happened. "Oi you should ans-" the queen interrupted his husband, punching him once. "I know you are shocked. Do you want to take a bath...? And you must be really hungry, we can cook whatever you want." As Kageyama saw the warm smile of the queen, he felt deep inside his heart joy and felt loved. But again, he didn't talk, shaking Hinata a bit. It was all too much for him to take alone. As Hinata slowly woke up, the black haired whispered everything what Suga said in his ear.
"Hinata, Hinata!" The tattooed boy said happily. "Are you stupid, Boke? You're too naiv. We don't know them!" He whispered angrily, what made Hinata pout. "Hinataaaa!" Kageyama rolled his eyes, ignoring the confused looks of the royal couple. "Yeah okay..." he sighed, looking at the couple. "We accept your help. But we have some requests." Hinata nodded in support. Sugawara had to smile happily, cuddling with Daichis arm to calm himself down a bit. "Yes! Any request!" Daichi was happy seeing his queen like that, so he didn't say anything against Suga's respond. Kageyama and Hinata looked at each other, nodding slowly. "We want a bath." Hinata whispered his name into Kageyamas ears. "With much foam! And we want some sweets. Those small cakes! Yes...And...I want some milk." Hinata nodded after every aspect in support. The queen looked at his king with big and sparkling eyes, he sighed. "Sure, I will get the small cakes and my wife will bring you to the bathroom, making you a bath with much foam okay?" Daichi looked at the two kids, Hinata smiling brightly and Kageyama nodding.
Sugawara stood up. "Come with me." He smiled at them, giving Daichi a peck on his lips and going with the boys to the bathroom. They followed goodly. The queen opened the doors of the bathroom, letting the kids in. He closed the doors and let some water in the bathtub, putting soap for the foam in it. Kageyama and Hinata were looking around themselves in awe. They never saw something this luxurious. And it was only the bathroom!
As the tub was filled, Sugawara turned around, facing them smiling. "Okay take your clothes off. I'll help you to get into the tub." Hinata didn't even hesitate, raising his arms, letting the queen getting off his clothes. The phoenix giggled happily, as he was lifted up and got put in the bathtub. But Kageyama looked at his shirt, seeing some red stains. Huh...? Is this jam..? He snapped out of his thoughts, when he felt a warm hand on his cheek. Mother? As he looked up, he saw Sugawara, not his mother. But still didn't feel uncomfortable. "If you're not feeling well, I can go outside, okay? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." The queen smiled softly at the black haired, who couldn't resist, but feeling a bit happy and feeling fine. He shook his head. "No, Hinata apparently likes you. I don't trust you hundred percent, but you seem okay." He mumbled, raising his arms a bit, what made Sugawara smile even more, nearly getting teary eyes. "Thank you, Kageyama..." he whispered and did the same as he did with Hinata.

"Stop that Hinata, I'm getting foam in my eyes!" The black haired said irritated, rubbing his eyes. The phoenix only giggled happily. "You Boke, you will drop the soap!" And right after the black haired said it, a soap was floating through the bathroom, landing on the ground. Sugawara chuckled soflty, crossing his arms on the edge of the bathtub, resting his head on his arms. He watched the two boys happily, when suddenly someone knocked at the door. "Uh...Can...Can I come in?" It was Daichi. You could hear, that he was uncomfortable and that he wasn't into the whole parenting thing like his wife was. "Can he come in?" Suga asked and they both nodded. "Yes!" Daichi came in with a silver tray and on it, warm small cakes and a cup of milk. Drool was flowing out of the boys mouth as they smelled the cakes.
But as Daichi took a step forward, he stepped on the soap, slid through the bathroom, threw the silver tray in the air and somehow managed to land headfirst into the bathtub. Hinata was the first one who started to laugh loud, Kageyama joined him a bit later. It was raining small cakes. Suga managed to catch two, also laughing and giving it the two boys. Daichi slowly rose his head, a black auora formed around him. "Oh oh...Daichi's mad." Suga laughed, what made the two boys even laugh more. "Dear...Don't press your luck..." he mumbled more to himself.

Kageyama forgot all his worries, he enjoyed it to laugh, to tell jokes, to learn, he enjoyed his whole life right now. And he should have a beautiful childhood onwards, until he turns 17.
