Chapter One

The tall boy flinched and shook his hand. "Meow!" The cat hissed and ran away. I just wanted to pat it...Why did it scratch me? He sighed, licked the blood from his finger and went back home.

Kageyama threw his bag on the ground and himself on his bed. He took his volleyball and looked at it for a while, his mind wandering off. "You aren't scared of me..." He then mumbled and started to toss the ball towards the ceiling, when suddenly his phone rang. The black haired boy sat up and looked at the display. It's Sugawara-san!

Suga: Hey guys, Daichi and I wanted to ask you, if we shoud go to the spring festival after the training tomorrow
^-^?

Tanaka: Yes that's a great idea!!

Asahi: i wanted to go anyway, it will be more fun if we go together:)

Noya: Haaaiii, that's gonna be soooo awesome!!

Suga: Good. We wanted to go with Yukatas! So everybody, don't forget your Yukatas tomorrow!

Noya: Ryu...You know what that means?

Tanaka: !!!

Noya: WE ARE GOING TO SEE SHIMIZU-SAN IN A YUKATA!!!

Mhm... The spring festival... I never were on a festival, do I even have a Yukata?
He put his phone aside. He didn't want to admit it, but he was kinda looking forward to the festival.

~The next day~

"Suga-san and Kageyama, nice tosses as always! We can end the training for today." Daichi smiled and started to collect all the volleyballs. "You have real talent Kageyama-kun. But don't think you can surpass your senpai this fast!" Sugawara pat him on the shoulder, chuckled slightly and jogged to Daichi to help him.
The tall boy felt proud, after the words of his senpai and went to the dressing room to put on his Yukata. Oh man this is going to be so embarrassing...

"Yush. Everyone here?" Daichi looked at the crows and nodded.
"Where is Shimizu???" Tanaka and Nishinoya screamed loudly and looked around them.
"I want to see her so badly in a Yukata!" Nishinoya folded his hands, tears started to stream down his face. Tanaka joined him, both with a serious look on their faces. "We will see her, Noya-san!!"
"Cut it out you two, Daichis gonna get mad. Shimizu and Yaichi are already at the festival..." Suga sighed, because he already felt Daichi's presence behind him. "You two...!" The captain grabbed both of their shoulders with a strong grip.
"Argh!" The two friends flinched and were immediately quiet. "Now get in the car!" Daichi pushed them forward.
Sugawara chuckled softly and followed them.
Kageyama watched the scene from afar and shook his head slightly as he got into the car. How can they both get so excited for Shimizu-san in a Yukata?
The tall boy, whose love only belonged to volleyball, couldn't understand it, but was used to these kind of scenes.

"Suga, this one looks totally like you!" Daichi laughed and showed him a stuffed panda, with a mole on it's cheek. "Are you serious?" Sugawara shook his head.
"Whoaaaa, I'm gonna catch it this time!!" Tanaka screamed as he tried to fish a plastic duck out of a small pool. The children looked at him with squinted eyes. "Think of Shimizu! She will be happy getting this stuffed animal. So win... Ryu!" Nishinoya said with a dead serious look on his face."You're right for Shimizuuuu!!" The bald headed guy cried out like a warrior.
Meanwhile Asahi went to the owner of the booth and apologised for his screaming friends.
Even Ennoshita, Kiroshita and Narita had joined the festival, though they were mainly at the food booths.

Only the king was walking alone.

He looked around, until he saw a booth were you can prove your strength by hitting a bell with a hammer. Kageyama looked at the prizes. He stopped when he saw a bag, filled with water and in it, the most beautiful goldfish he had ever seen. Well he hadn't had seen that many, but anyway.
It seemed, as if the goldfish was staring back at him.
It can't fly away like a bird... Nor can it scratch or bite me like a cat or dog ...
"How many does it cost to win this goldfish?" He wanted this goldfish, no matter what. "You have to hit the mark two times... This would cost...1200¥." The owner said a bit bored.

1200¥ for a fish?! But I want this goldfsh...

"Fine!" He slammed the money on the bar of the booth and took the hammer. He took a deep breath, his grip hardened around the stick.
The King reached back and hit the button with his whole might. He surpassed the mark and hit the bell, which wobbled dangerously.
The owner looked a bit shocked and shivered, as he saw the intimidating loon on the black haired's face.
"Uhm, you know what... Here are 600¥ you can take the fish..." He mumbled and gave the King his money back. Kageyama was really happy, he took the money and the bag with the fish.

"He he he. The King is happy over a stupid fish? Just because it can't run away like the other animals, am I right?" Tsukishima snorted at him. "All animals love Tsukki!" The freckled boy said from behind Tsukishima's back. "Shut up Yamaguchi." The blond boy mumbled. "Gomen Tsukki!" He giggled.

"First, I just took this fish as a price for my strength and second." He took a step closer to Tsukishima and looked him deadly in the eyes. "Don't call me like that." With those words Kageyama turned around and went down to a park, which was near the festival.
He sat down on a bench and looked at the fish. "Don't listen to this shit-face you're not a stupid fish... You are a special goldfish!" He emphasized the word gold.

Wait a sec... It literally looked like the fish was happy... kind of smiling? Am I crazy now?

His eyes were opened wide in shock and disbelief.
He looked around him, making sure nobody is watching.
"Can... Can you understand me..?" He whispered and looked at the fish with a little sparkle in his eyes. The goldfish stared at him and then: It seemed as if the fish would try to nod.
Kageyama jolted. "You do understand me!" He wrote Sugawara a message and hurried back home.

"Where is it... Where..."
The boy looked through the kitchen cupboards until he found it. "There it is!" He grinned and filled the big bowl with water.
"This bowl is so big, you gonna love it to swim there!" The black haired boy said to his new pet. "So... It's ready..." He took the plastic bag, opened it and put the fish carefully in the water. Kageyama took the bowl and carried it up stairs to his room, where he put his new pet on his table. He took the fish food, which he brought on the way home and filled some in the bowl.
The tall boy crossed his arms and laid his head on them. "You know what? I'm calling you Goldy...." He watched his goldfish, who was swimming excitedly. Slowly he felt asleep.

~The next day~

Kageyama opened his eyes, yawned and stretched. He whipped his drool from his lips and looked at the bowl. "Morning Gol-" He hesitated, as he saw the empty bowl. W-What?! Where is the fish??? I thought they can't run away!
"Goldy??" He looked a bit panicked.
He wanted to start searching in his room, when suddenly a rumble was heard from from the kitchen downstairs. Shit... A thief? Did this thief stole my Goldy?
Kageyama looked around him and took his volleyball. I'm going to throw this ball in his shit-face!
He slowly went down the stairs, holding the ball tightly. Oh man water everywhere!

When he arrived in the kitchen, ready to smack the thief with his volleyball, he widened his eyes and accidentally let go of his weapon.
In front of him was a small boy, with a glittering, orange mermaid tail, which had different shades of orange and what was matching his orange fluffy hair. On his whole back was a tattoo of a goldfish and on his shoulder were the kanji for it. He was eating various things out of the fridge. "Neptune, I was staaarving!" He said, patting his round belly satisfied.
"Oi, what in the world are you? And where is Goldy?!" Kageyama screamed angrily.
The mermaid jolted and looked up to the angry tall boy. "My name is not Goldy!" He crossed his arms in front of his chest and pouted.
This has to be a dream, what's going on?!
