The world you live in is one that doesn't take kindly to mutants, people with extraordinary abilities beyond the capacities of any normal human. Should a mutant be found out they were taken to a special facility to be experimented on, never to see their families again. People were scared of what mutants could do, and forgot that nearly all of them were just people trying to live their lives.

That is, until the last few recent years in which mutants have been coming out of the shadows and showing themselves, acting as real life superheroes. Of course, for every superhero there's a super-villain ready to appear, as a result, the government has been trying to push for much tighter reigns on all mutants while the regular people and activists have been pushing for equal treatment of mutants.

And despite what you are you try to stay out of things like this, well, you try. That doesn't mean you've succeeded. You were successful for twenty two long years of your life, but it couldn't last forever, right?

You're (l/n) (y/n), a twenty two year old mutant who was able to hide your ability of hydrokinesis all your life. You occasionally use it when you're alone in your college dorm if you're thirsty or if you've spilled water/something with a high concentration of water on the carpet but that's it. You've never told another soul about your hydrokinesis besides your mother and your brother, who has telekinesis.

That day when it all began was like any other; you're walking through the busy streets of Tokyo listening to music when you hear a loud crash and screams behind you. You take off your headphones and shove your phone into your hoodie pocket and turn around to see what's happening and your face pales, a mutant is attacking.

You scowl, mutants like the man attacking right now always gave people like you and your brother a bad name. You had seen that mutant on the news before, he was really trying to get his name known, Kimos was it? You're pretty sure that's what he calls himself.

Kimos was rampaging through the streets, you could see him throwing cars and store signs every which way, trying to hit pedestrians. It wasn't long before a superhero mutant that calls himself Hercules enters the scene. People keep on fleeing the area as Hercules continues to try and stop Kimos, who's throwing cars all over the place while poor Hercules is running all over the streets making sure no one in the cars gets injured.

You feel a little bad, you know that the probably most morally correct thing to do is to help, but you doubt yourself. You're not strong like those two guys going head to head right now. You hardly ever even use your powers, there's no way you can go against someone as corrupt and strong as Kimos.

The struggle between the two battling slowly make it's way into a train station and you see a wave of people pour out of the train station in a flurry of panic. You grip the phone in your pocket and are about to turn and run like all the others around you when you see a train get hurled through the building and towards the street. You gasp, there're still a lot of people on the train and Hercules is still inside the train station, not to mention the number of people the train would crush if it touched down.

So you do the only thing you can think of, you dash towards the train and pull up your hood, hoping to hide your face as you shoot a large quantity of water underneath the train, as you stand under the train you raise your hands up, using the water to hold up the train just enough for people to be able to jump out of the train and for others to move out from underneath it.

You're already sweating just from the sheer amount of force and energy you're requiring to maintain holding the train up, there's no way you can hold it up for that much longer.

Unfortunately for you though, a guy with spiked up white and black hair is just standing there underneath the train aiming his phone's camera up at it, he's just barely arm's length away. The nerve of this guy. Though, to be fair, you probably would also send a picture to your friends if you were in his situation and actually had the time.

However, you know that if he keeps standing there then both you and him will get crushed under the weight of the train. The last of the people on the train jump off, yet the (admittedly attractive) stranger is still texting his friend, you sigh.

"Alright, if you're really that blind to your surroundings." You mutter to yourself as you tackle the guy, scooping him into your arms and letting the water holding up the train fall and just barely getting out of the way in time. You're eyes flicker to the right just in time to see Hercules beating up Kimos and you sigh in relief. You turn your focus back to the stranger when he starts animatedly talking to you.

"Woahhhh, you're really pretty!" You blush, not expecting the sudden compliment. "You also saved me! What's your superhero name? I've never seen you before!"

"Oh, uh, I'm not a superhero." You explain sheepishly.

"Whaaaaat? But you have cool superhero powers and everything!"

"Ha, I'm not strong enough or brave enough to do something like that, but, I couldn't just let that train land on all those people, 'ya know?" He nods a little bit harder than he needs to.

"You seem plenty strong and brave to me."

You let out a small laugh. "Well, thank you. So uh, what's your name?"

"Bokuto Koutaro!"

"Ah, it's been nice to meet you,  Bokuto-san. Now, can I put you down? You're pretty heavy and super strength isn't one of my abilities."

Bokuto's eyes widen a bit and he blushes and nods, seemingly just now realizing that you've been holding him bridal style the entire time. You put down Bokuto and hear police sirens in the distance and notice that Hercules has successfully defeated Kimos.

"Ah, I should get out of here before anyone can identify me for the cops. Like I said, it was nice meeting you, Bokuto-san." You turn around to quickly leave but Bokuto grabs your hand.

"W-wait, I wanna see you again- o-or at least talk with you a little longer..." You can feel your cheeks warm up an you know that a light blush has appeared on your cheeks.

"Can we go get coffee at some place away from here so no one recognizes you?" He looks down at you hopefully.

"Y-yeah, alright, I-I guess coffee's fine." You stutter out. Your eyes widen when you realize you still haven't introduced yourself, "oh, um, I'm (y/n) (l/n), by the way."

"Oho ho? A pretty name to match a pretty face." He grins down at your blushing face.

"L-let's just get to that coffee place already."

"Alright!" Bokuto chirps out happily and two start jogging away from the scene together.
