Motel lobby (10 o'clock in the morning):

"Eh? Where's Hinata?" Suga asked, looking around the motel lobby.

"He said he had something to deal with and left. Really early as well." Takeda-sensei said, blinking curiously.

"I think Hinata said something about him having to do something today." Yachi piped up.

"Oh well. I guess we should head to the rink or else we'll be late." Daichi said, leading them all out of the lobby and towards the bus.

At the ice skating rink (a hour earlier).

"Yurio-senpai! Victor-senpai! Yuri-senpai! Otabek-senpai! Minami-san!" Hinata shouted, running into the ice-skating rink, skates already in his hands.

"Hinata!" Minami exclaimed, skating over to the edge. He grinned at the orange haired teen as Hinata stuffed his feet into his skates before stepping onto the ice. Minami wrapped Hinata in a hug as Victor came skating over as well.

"Shoyo! I haven't seen you in ages!" The silver haired male cheered, joining in the hug as well. The other skaters came over, joining in the hug. Yurio hung back, muttering something along the lines of 'Great. Now I have to deal with two identically sounding people.'

Laughing, Hinata untangled himself from the hug before skating over to Yurio and hugging him. The blonde protested but let the smaller teen hug him reluctantly.

"My team is coming to learn how to do tricks at 10." Hinata told them, getting nods.

"Should we just skate around and do whatever?" Minami suggested, grinning.

"Yeah! Yuri-san, Yurio-san and Victor-san, can you skate the routine to 'History maker?!'" Hinata chirped with sparkling eyes. The said people all looked at each other, Victor in excitement, Yuri was smiling and Yurio frowned but nodded. Clapping his hands, Hinata skated over to the edge where he had placed his phone and speakers. Turning on the music, the three famous skaters got ready and started skating. (what they r skating is below)

Hinata watched them in awe, wanting to skate like them. Grinning, he skated out onto the ice, Minami following him.

"Ice Climber?" He asked, getting a nod from Hinata.

"Yeah!"

The music changed to Minami's respective one, Hinata mirroring his movements. The two teens skated with cheeky grins on their faces, as the music finished and they cheered.

"Whoa! Shoyo you've gotten better!" Victor applauded, the said teen blushing at the praise.

"Thanks Victor-senpai!"

"What about Russian Punk and Otabek-san?" Yuri suggested. "Welcome to the madness?"

Yurio looked away, scowling. His eyes met Hinata's and Minami's, both were sparkling with excitement.

"Urk. Fine." He said, annoyed that the they had managed to convince him again.

Yurio skated to the centre, unzipping his jacket and pulling finger-less gloves from his pocket. Otabek moved to the edge and leaned there casually, a blank look on his face.

"Gahaha! You two would look great as a couple!" Victor shouted once the music had finished. They both turned bright red, Yurio shouting curses at his former coach as he zoomed over to the edge, trying to attack the silver-haired male. Victor skated away, laughing.

"Ne, Yuri-senpai." Hinata said, getting Victor's husband's attention.

"Yeah, Hinata-kun?"

"Is it possible to do a quintuple jump?" (thats like a quadruple jump, but with 5 spins instead of 4)

Hinata's question caught the older male off guard as Yuri looked at the orange head in surprise.

"Nani?" Yuri asked, unsure if he heard Hinata right.

"Is it possible to do a quintuple jump?" Hinata repeated, looking up at Yuri.

"What are you planning to do?" Yuri asked.

"I'm thinking of putting more complicated jumps when I do my short program at the Barcelona Grand Prix." Hinata said, looking down at his feet.

"What sort of jumps?" Yuri asked, looking worried.

"For my free skate, maybe five quad jumps, two triple axels and a quintuple jump." Hinata said, counting them off on his fingers. "And probably my usual step and choreographic sequence."

"Eh?! Do you have a death wish?!" Yuri exclaimed, looking surprised. Hinata's step sequence was extremely complicated, even though it earnt him a good amount of points. At least his choreographic routine was simple.

"But then I have to put in at least a spin." Hinata grumbled, frowning. "I hate doing spins."

Yet you're doing jumps that involve spins. Yuri thought, frowning at Hinata's simple-minded-ness (that even a word? nvm it is now. 👍).

"What about your short program?" Yuri asked.

"Double axel and quad jump while my jump combination is a double and triple, flying spin, camel spin, spin combination and a serpentine step sequence." Hinata listed, counting off on his fingers again.

"That's so complicated Hinata!" Minami exclaimed, appearing next to Hinata. The orange haired teen sighed, mumbling something under his breath. "What did you say?"

"I want to win Nationals with my team. And I want to win the Grand Prix in ice skating." Hinata said, louder this time.

"That's great!" Victor cheered, skating by Hinata.

"Okay! Enough of that, let's just skate!" Yurio shouted, ushering them all to the centre of the rink. (only three minutes until the rest of Karasuno arrives)

The opening chords of 'History Maker' could be heard from Hinata's speakers as they all looked at each other. Nodding, they skated to their places before Hinata restarted the music. 

They all started skating to the music, using Yuri, Yurio and Victor's performance earlier as the base of their performance. However, they didn't follow it exactly. They all changed it slightly to suit their personalities. 

With Karasuno:

"Let's go!" Noya and Tanaka shouted, stampeding through the doors of the rink. (nyooooom)

"Wait for us!" Suga shouted, his words not reaching the energetic duo.

The rest of the team followed the energetic people through the doors, receiving their skates (lol what if they actually received the skates like in volleyball?) before heading to change.

They all finished quite quickly, Noya and Tanaka waiting for them at the doors leading to the actual rink.

Daichi quietly pushed open the door to the rink, the whole team filing in after him. A song could be heard, the unfamiliar English words echoing around the rink. Six skaters were gliding around the ice, looking like they were skating the same choreography. The only thing that was different was that they were adding their own twists to it, making the choreography their own. 

Hinata was there, a grin on his face as his floofy orange hair made him look like the sun as he skated through the rays of sunlight. He skated alongside another teen with blonde hair with a red streak in it, the teen having a grin on his face as well as he dabbed while leaping away. Hinata did a complicated looking jump with a grin, landing flawlessly.

A silver-haired man spun with another male in his arms, both of them laughing as they narrowly avoided crashing into another pair. A pale blonde teen snapped at the silver-haired man who just laughed. 

The music finished, all of them spinning away with laughter. Hinata noticed his team standing there and skated over, waving a hand in welcome.

"You all are here!" He exclaimed, leaping off the ice and speed walking over to them.

"Shoyo! That was amazing!" Noya exclaimed, patting the middle blocker on the back. Hinata blushed, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh! You're Shoyo's teammates!" The silver-haired male shouted, waving a hand. "Privet!" (privet means hello in russian. i dont know russian so i had to check google translate :D russian may or may not have been used in Honest ;) lol im just hiding hints to a story in another story :D )

The volleyball players bowed politely in greeting, Hinata waving a hand for the ice skaters to come over and meet the team.

"Everyone! Come and meet the team!" The other ice skaters stepped off the ice, putting on their skate guards before joining Hinata.

"You forgot to put on your skate guards, Hinata." The black-haired man said, passing Hinata the skate guards. Hinata sheepishly put them on before standing up with a grin.

"This is the Karasuno Volleyball club! Minna, meet Yurio-senpai, Victor-senpai, Yuri-senpai, Otabek-senpai and Minami-san!" Hinata said, gesturing to each person with a grin.

- skipping the introductions cuz ya know, im a lazy potato - 

"Shoyo..." Noya placed a hand on Hinata's shoulder with a serious expression on his face. Tanaka placed his own hand on Hinata's other shoulder, the exact same expression on his face.

"Nani?" Hinata asked, looking confused.

"Don't call anyone else but us, 'senpai'!" They said dramatically.

"But I always call you two senpai in volleyball. I call Yurio-senpai, Victor-senpai, Yuri-senpai and Otabek-senpai, 'senpai' because they are my senpai's in ice skating." Hinata explained, the two loud second years looking confused. (i dont think that makes sense to me but meehhh)

"Don't bother explaining to them." Ennoshita said, slapping Noya and Tanaka on the head.

"They said that we had an ice skating lesson today." Daichi said, looking at Victor.

"Oh yeah! You're going to be learning how to do tricks today! With the help of us!"  Victor exclaimed suddenly, making the captain flinch at his sudden outburst.

"YEAH!" Tanaka and Noya cheered, stampeding towards the ice.

"I'll be surprised if you can even land a simple toe loop."  Yurio said, smirking as he stepped back on the ice.

"NANI?!" Tanaka and Noya growled, leaping onto the ice and skating towards him. Yurio was yawning as he skated backwards, trying to get rid of the pursuers. He even did a few complex jumps just to annoy them.

"Now, Yurio~" Victor said, appearing next to Yurio in a flash. "We're here to teach them, not annoy them." 

"Oi! Tanaka! Nishinoya!" Daichi roared, stepping on the ice and catching their collars as they skated by him. "Behave!"

The two rowdy second years sulked as they were handed over to Ennoshita, who scolded them.

"Your team is really cool, Hinata!" Minami exclaimed, nudging Hinata in the side. Hinata grinned before gesturing to the ice.

"Shall we?"

"So to do a waltz jump, you go whoosh and then fwup." Hinata said, getting nods from Kageyama, Tanaka and Noya.

"What the heck?" Tsukishima asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion. The team also was looking confused at Hinata's explanation, minus the single brain cell squad.

"He means you have to jump off your left foot, turn half a rotation before landing on your right." Victor said. The rest of the team nodded and stepped onto the ice, where the professional ice skaters were waiting.

"Hinata, you demonstrate!" Minami exclaimed, pushing Hinata to the centre of the ice. The orange haired teen grumbled before getting ready to do the jump.

He skated forward, kicking off the ice before spinning exactly half a rotation before landing on his right and gliding backwards. They all applauded at Hinata grinned brightly, lighting up the rink with his smile alone. They squinted at the sudden brightness before Victor clapped his hands to get their attention.

"Now you all try!"

- taimu skippu (time skip) - 

The team managed to get it in the end, earning a few bruises along the way. Surprisingly, Kageyama was the first to get it, smiling maliciously when he landed without falling over. After, it was Yachi and Noya. They were followed by the rest of the team besides Tanaka. The bald spiker managed to get it in the end (45 mins), yelling triumphantly. Continuing to learn jumps and spins, it was near the closing time for the ice skating rink.

"Oh! What if Hinata shows you all his short program for the Grand Prix?" Victor chirped, Minami nodding beside him.

"Hinata, please?" Minami asked, shaking Hinata.

"EH?! Nononononononon-" Hinata was cut off by Minami pulling him to the centre of the rink, skating off with a laugh as Hinata stood there awkwardly, tapping the tip of the blade on his ice skating shoes on the ice (dafuq does this sentence make sense? idk). Yurio snatched Hinata's speaker, putting on the orange head's short program music. (damn im using alot of links and time skips this chapter. m e h.)

The opening chords echoed around the rink as they all stepped off the ice, gathering at the sidelines to watch as Hinata stood there before bursting into movement.

He started off with a serpentine step sequence, swaying from side to side as he moved from one side of the rink to the other. Starting to skate backwards, Hinata kept on swaying, making it seem like he was crossing his legs over and over, curling around himself like a snake.

Kicking off the ice, he launched into a double axel, seeming to hover in the air for a moment before landing quietly, a bright grin on his face. A few moments after landing, Hinata leapt into a quad jump, stumbling slightly on the landing but recovering easily.

"What the f-" Yurio started to say before Otabek slapped a hand over his mouth, muffling his curse as they all continued watching Hinata in silence.

Hinata leapt into his jump combination, spinning twice in the air before momentarily landing and jumping into a triple spin. Landing on the ice, he transitioned into a camel spin, stretching his leg out at a 90 degree angle, his body also in line with his stretched out leg. Hinata straightened up, still spinning and crouched so he was practically sitting on his ice skate. Standing up, he lifted his leg up, holding it over his head. As he slowed, Hinata lowered his leg and came to a stop at the centre of the ice, one leg slightly behind the other as he reached one arm out towards the sidelines while the other was held close to his chest (like how yuri ends his short program).

"YEAH! You copied Yuri's ending, right? That was amazing!" Victor cheered, clapping his hands.

"Whoa..." Karasuno was left in shock as Hinata skated over with a small smile on his face, breathing heavily.

"How was it?" He asked tentatively, worried that they might say something bad. "Was it bad?"

"Bad?! It was amazing!" Tanaka and Noya whooped, getting yelled at by Daichi.

"That was really spectacular, Hinata." Suga congratulated the orange head with an angelic smile. Hinata grinned brightly before turning to Kageyama, eyes sparkling. Kageyama got whacked on the back by Tanaka and he stuttered out a compliment.

"Kn-Knife...Nuff...Nice." He muttered, getting karate-chopped on the head by Tanaka.

"Don't mess up that line!" The bald spiker laughed heartily as Kageyama blushed.

"Hehe!" Hinata grinned, blinding Kageyama with his smile.

"Too bright!"
