Hinata sprinted down the hill towards Karasuno High, Kageyama hot on his heels.

"Ohayo Hinata!" Suga said to the orange hair of fluff that just sped by him.

"Ohayo. Suga-senpai." Hinata panted from his spot on the ground. Kageyama was sprawled next to him, having lost the race.

"Did you bring everything?" Suga asked the duo, who were still lying on the ground. Hinata nodded and Kageyama gave a thumbs up. Reaching over to where their bags lay, Suga picked both of them up, struggling with the weight of one.

"Hinata what did you pack? It's so heavy." Suga asked the middle blocker.

"Stuff." Hinata gave a huge cheeky smile. "Suga-senpai, let me take it."

Suga gave Hinata his bag and Hinata put it on like it weighed nothing. Kageyama then took his bag as well. The trio walked to where the bus and the coaches were waiting and left their bags with them. Soon the rest of the team arrived and they boarded the bus and headed towards the ice skating rink.

- le time skippu to when they arrive at the place they are staying - 

"UOAAAA!!!" Hinata yelled as soon as he recovered from the bus ride.

"Hinata shush!" Suga said, gently whacking the middle blocker on the head.

"Gomene Suga-senpai..." Hinata said, covering his mouth.

"Okay! So for today, you can explore. Take one of this so that we know where you are." Takeda-sensei announced after they had put their bigger bags in the hotel rooms. He was handing out a small device that they attached to their phones. "Okay! Now go and explore!"

As soon as he said that, Hinata grabbed his small backpack and sprinted off. The rest of the team followed, going their separate ways. The third years headed off to go do some sightseeing, the second years went to the beach and the first years went off to go find Hinata.

- time skip -

"Jeez, where did the shrimp go?" Tsukishima complained since they were walking around looking for a certain energetic orange for a long time.

"I don't know. Don't ask me!" Kageyama snapped.

"Etto, don't fight please." Yamaguchi said, trying to ease the tension between the two.

"Yamaguchi-kun, I may know where Hinata may be." Yachi said, tapping Yamaguchi's shoulder to gain his attention. When he looked at her, she showed him her phone. A blinking orange dot that said 'Hinata' popped up on screen.

"So he is at the skating rink? But we don't go there until tomorrow." Yamaguchi said, gaining the attention of the two bickering players.

"Let's go to the skating rink then!" Kageyama yelled, whipping out his phone and sprinting towards the blinking orange dot that appeared on his screen as well. The rest of them shared a look and followed him.

- time skip again because kageyama got lost -

"So Hinata is here?" Yamaguchi asked, looking up at the building (in the media). 

"Seems like it." Yachi replied, checking her phone to see if the orange dot had disappeared.

Pushing the door open, they were meet with a blast of cold air. Shivering, jumpers were pulled on and they walked to the front desk.

"Etto, sumimasen? We are from Karasuno's volleyball team. We wanted to know if we could check if one of our teammates are here?" Yamaguchi asked the girl at the front desk.

"Oh so you are Sho-kun's teammates! Follow me!" She said, walking out into a hallway. The first years shared a look and followed her.

As they walked down the hallway, pictures were scattered on the walls. There were pictures of Yuri Katsuki, the figure skater that represented Japan, Victor Nikiforov who was Yuri's coach and many more. Reaching the end of the hallway, the girl turned around.

"You have to be quiet, he is practising." She said, putting a finger to her lips as she pushed the door open.

They were met with a huge ice skating rink, sunlight filtering through the windows. There was a small fog in the air due to the cold, but the first years could make out a figure skating on the ice. A classical music was quietly playing in the background, but it seemed like the skater was dancing to his own music.

Walking to the edge of the rink, the first years saw a mop of fluffy orange hair, signalling to them that they found Hinata. He had more concentration than what they had seen him before. Hinata looked like he was pouring his very heart and soul to this, like he had practised for ages until he got this right. He jumped into a quad axle and landed it, much to their surprise. Hinata finished his program and opened his eyes. Surprise registered in his brown orbs at the sight of the other first years cheering.  Hinata skated over to where they were, grabbing his drink bottle and towel along the way.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, taking a swig of water and taking out his headphones.

"We wanted to go exploring with you. Turns out you were here." Kageyama said, looking at Hinata.

"I always come here. I'm a figure skater." Hinata said bluntly.

"What?!" Yachi yelled, the other first years showing signs of similar shock at his words.

"I can teach you if you want?" Hinata offered.

"Can we?" Yamaguchi asked, the rest nodding.

"Sure! It's not that much of a hassle!" Hinata cheered, going and skating a lap of the ice before stepping off the ice and heading to where they were getting their skates. He instructed them on how they put it on without getting blisters afterwards and they all walked to the small door where people entered and exited.

"Do any of you know how to skate?" He asked, getting no's and shakes of the head. "Okay then. First you need to learn how to skate. Not the professional jumps, just making your way around the rink."

Stepping onto the ice, Hinata got the rest of them to hold onto the edge of the rink while he instructed them on how to move carefully. Yamaguchi and Yachi almost fell, while Tsukishima and Kageyama got the hang of it quickly. Soon Kageyama was shakily gliding off the wall and around the rink, Tsukishima giving snarky comments every 5 minutes. Tsukishima managed to get off the wall and worked out how to skate backwards as well, so he kept on giving sarcastic comments on Kageyama's skating. Yamaguchi also got off the wall, but stayed in close distance since he couldn't skate that far before slipping. Yachi however, kept on getting her skate stuck between the wall and the ice. Hinata held out his hands towards Yachi, who blushed then grabbed his small hands in her own. Hinata then started skating backwards slowly, Yachi stumbling but following him. She managed to skate a bit smoother after Hinata gave her some pointers about the way she skated. Yachi still needed to hold onto Hinata's hands, but now they skated side by side instead of one infront of the other.

Checking the time on his watch, Hinata yelped, gaining the attention of the other first years.

"Crap! It's almost 7! They would be looking for us soon!" He cried, quickly skating to the door and stepping off the ice, bringing Yachi with him. Kageyama and Tsukishima also went off the ice, heading over to the benches where they took off their skates. Handing them back to the girl at the front desk, they said goodbye and sprinted back to the hotel that the team was staying in. Taking a few shortcuts along the way of course.

Reaching the motel, they took the lift up and collapsed on the sofas and pillows of the shared common room. "Don't tell anyone about me skating okay?" Hinata told them just as they heard the door open and the rest of the team entered.

"What happened to you guys?" Suga asked them.

"Stuff happened." Tsukishima said, sitting up.

"What about you?" Yamaguchi asked, his voice still muffled from the pillows on the sofa. He rolled off the sofa and landed with a grunt on the floor. "Ow."

"Us third years managed to get souvenirs and great scenery pictures." Daichi said, helping Yamaguchi off the floor.

"Us second years went to the beach. The two hot heads couldn't stop ogling at girls in swimsuits so we had to leave." Ennoshita told them, Tanaka and Nishinoya coming in with steaming bumps on their heads.

"Well what did you first years do?" Asahi asked, concern evident on his face.

"We explored, but ended up getting chased by a couple of dogs. Yachi had to be carried by Yamaguchi and they looked so cute." Hinata said, showing the rest of the team a picture of a blushing Yachi being piggybacked by Yamaguchi when they were running. Squeals could be heard from Suga, who had collapsed in Daichi's arms as he fangirled.

"Go get ready for bed! Jeez you don't need to wake up the whole hotel!" Coach Ukai yelled from where he came in the door.

"Hai, hai. Gomenasai Coach." The team said in unison, heading off to their shared rooms.

tell me how long do u think the first years can keep Hinata's secret from the rest of the team?

ill be going though the chapters and fix up a few things. but im halfway finished with chap 7. just gimme a few days cuz inspiration said 📉)
