Surprise!

(Okay just a little warning...there is gonna be so many incorrect game references here. I know nothing about it and yet I choose to write it so I'm sorry if it annoys you! If you'd like to correct me I don't mind. The more I know the better!)

Hinata bounced joyfully with each step he took, in his hands was a Valentine's day expansion for the game Kenma played, he knew he wasn't able to get it in his home town and so the tangerine boy himself paid out of pocket so he could surprise him.

Okay so maybe this would be considered a bit much for a friend, but he couldn't help it, he felt so close to the setter, even closer to him than Kageyama and that really said something. He didn't know why exactly, he didn't understand his feelings very well and usually everyone took him the wrong way...not to mention he didn't really have any friends who talked about anything other than volleyball. Kenma was the only one who never judged and even though he didn't talk much the two texted all the time.

His smile widened as he reached the front door, his heart skipping a beat as he rung the doorbell and imagined what the house would look like, his orange hair messy as always and slightly blowing in the wind, with his cheeks a light pink...you could say he looked perfect like that.

The door opened with a slight creak to reveal the slightly taller male with multi colored hair and and a fairly blank expression, in his hand was his switch and just from where Hinata stood he could see dozens of game themed posters. "Hello Kenma-kun!!! I know you weren't expecting me but I brought you a gift! I was hoping we could hang out...if you have plans though I can leave the gift and go okay!"

"There's no need to yell...and trust me I have no plans. Come on in." The taller boy opened the door a little wider, letting his friend walk in as he watched him intensely, no one ever came to visit him even if they lived next door and it was strange to have someone from so far away do so. Did...did the spiker really care for him that much?

"Your house has so many posters and trinkets....wow...oh! I have to give you the gift!" The orange haired male held out a tiny box that had been wrapped very poorly in heart themed wrapping paper, he had even gone so far as to add heart stickers with little chibi faces which almost...almost made Kenma smile.

"You didn't have to do that Shoyo...I didn't get you anything..."

"That's okay!" Hinata blushed a little darker as his friend took the gift from him and started to open it, he'd be lying if he said he didn't have the slight worry he'd gotten the wrong one. He didn't know a lot about the gaming community or it's contents so it was really likely, he just hoped with all his might that wasn't the case.

Kenma opened the box and his eyes widened a bit more than usual, had...he really tracked down the part to his game? He took the piece out of the box and turned it so he could see the date, sure enough it was the right one which made him feel happy against his own will. "This...is perfect...thank you."

"Yes!" The smaller boy hugged his friend tightly like he always did but to his surprise the other male hugged him back, and they stayed like that, just holding onto each other for a bit longer than they should have. At one point Hinata couldn't take it anymore and he had to look up at the setter just to find Kenma looking right back at him with almost tired looking eyes like he hadn't slept in awhile, yet he had no bags. Was this...weird?

Suddenly his question was answered as the taller male nervously pressed their faces together in a kiss making the orange haired boy gasp in response. He'd never done anything like this before and had no idea if it was okay, this was his first kiss!

When they pulled away there was a awkward silence as they tried to figure out what to do now, should they be a couple? "U-um Kenma-kun how about you show me the game. I-i can't play cause I'm really bad at them b-but I don't mind watching..."

"Yeah...that sounds good..."
