That call made me go insane. What's she really up to she didn't say much in the call but I could clearly understand that she was talking about Chloe and Jasper.

I think of calling Chloe or Jasper. Although I don't think that they know about Hazel calling me or they would have called me themselves. I could sense a big storm coming this way so I did not want to ruin their moment.

For the last two hours since I got back from school the only thing that was on my mind was what Hazel said. She is on to something and I have no idea what it is. But how could she possibly know anything about Chloe and Jasper's plan today.

I do not think anyone informed Hazel because when Chloe was talking about their plan, no one was around. I scanned the class as soon as I heard Chloe start talking about Jasper.

I lay down on the bed while still thinking about what might happen tomorrow and my eyes felt heavy and I don't know when I fell asleep.

After I wake up and check my phone. It's 6:23pm.

5 missed calls! From who?

Oh my god! Liam!

Right. He told me that he'll call me after he comes back home. I fell asleep so hard that I missed all his calls.

And why would Chloe call me? Does she know anything about it?

I immediately call her back.

"Hey, you called me twice. What's up?"

"Oh it's nothing. Liam was calling you and he couldn't reach you so he asked me to see if you're okay. I called you and you didn't pick up. So I assumed that you were asleep and I told him."

I pass a sigh of relief. She doesn't know. "Yeah, I fell asleep." I shamefully chuckle. " So how did it go?"

"Uh! awesome. You won't believe it. I have never felt this good in my life before."

"Well good for you. And for Jasper of course he-he."

"Hey. Evelyn. You okay?"

"Huh? Yeah yeah I'm fine. Why?"

"I don't know. Your voice sounds tense."

"Oh no... um.. I just got up from this long hard nap. And saw this many missed calls so I kinda freaked out. Nothing else." Chloe and I have been friends since childhood. She always sees through me. It wasn't a surprise that she figured out I was tense about something. Hazel's words were still ringing in my brain. "Alright then I'll call Liam and see what he wants to talk about."

"yeah. yeah you do that"

"bye-bye"

I called Liam.

"Heyyyy." I start.

"hey there" I smile, alone in my room like a shy fool. But I like being this fool.

"So.... I am sorry I fell asleep. Again."

"No. no. It's fine. Um.. actually I need to ask you something."

"Yeah sure. Go ahead."

"So... today morning when I was sitting beside you in the class and you were so close to me" I could understand that he was anxious. "I kinda wanted to kiss you. Like proper kiss"

That line made my heart beat twice.

Yeah I kinda wanna do that too!

"Really... I mean you are so pretty and your eyes were like little glowy things and - - " he stops.

"And?"

"Well... how about you come outside your house and I will tell you the rest."

"What! What do you mean outside?! Are you outside my house?"

"Not exactly, I am just across the street."

"Oh okay. But how long have you been standing there." I run to my balcony and see him standing on the other side of the road.

"Not long actually I couldn't reach you so I called Chloe and she couldn't reach you either so she said that you might be sleeping. But I was a little worried so I came by your house and just then you called me so I thought... Now that I'm here, why don't you make it up to me, in person."

I chuckle." Really? Mmhmm. Alright look I'm on my way. Just stay where you are. And don't move any closer to my house ok?"

"ok ok sure." He says, reassuring me.

I look at myself in the mirror, spray the mouth freshener. Wait what? Why did I just do that. I shake my head, I don't know we'll see.

I almost run down the stairs then it hits me that mum must be in the kitchen and if I run down the stairs she'll hear me and ask a million questions.

So I slowly went down the stairs with absolutely no sounds. That is kinda my thing. Mum says that I was a cat in my previous life.

Anyways.

I get out of my house and my eyes wander to the road in front of my home and I spot him standing there with messy hair, a loose white T-shirt and sweatpants.

Oh how can he look so damn cute even in such a regular outfit. I ask him to walk past the house like the last time.

"Hey" his voice brings a grin to my face.

"Hi." I reach him and he holds my hands. But it isn't like the last time, outside the café. He holds my hands firmly. "So... you were saying?" I ask, knowing I'll absolutely love whatever he says.

"So I was saying that you look so pretty and, and your eyes are like little shining stars and your hair's always so neatly tied and..."

"And" I just want him to go on. And it wasn't because of all the good things that he was saying about me. It's because of the way he said those things. His bright brown eyes gaze into mine. And he slowly moves his hand around my waist.

"And I kinda wanted to kiss you." I feel my heart thumping. "Because we were so close" he holds me tighter with his arms around my waist and pulls me closer.

Dang. He is strong.

His grip on my waist is so firm as if he did not want to let me go.

"You have beautiful eyes... and hair... and nose and cheeks." enough with the eyes and hair already. Get to the real stuff. I moved my palms gently on his chest, I could feel his heart racing. Maybe he's nervous, maybe was excited.

So was I!

My heart feels like it has some kind of Marathon to win. It keeps running and does not pause for even a second.

We look at each other for a second too long, and then he says

"Hey"

"Hey." I respond with a very shallow voice.

"I wanna taste your lips." My eyes widened. He keeps gazing into my eyes but now his sight falls on my lips and it comes back to my eyes again. "May I?" He asked for my permission but in such a sexy way!

Like I can say no to that!

I did not say anything. I couldn't say anything. I slowly shut my eyes and he understood the answer.

And just within seconds I feet his lips touching mine. They are soft and tender. And he tasted those lips like they were exclusive. He doesn't rush to finish it; he gently brushes his lips over mine.

His grip on my waist becomes even firm and strong. Now he starts to grab my lips with his, even harder. I even feel a little bit of butting on my lower lip. It hurt a little but the kiss did not allow me to think about the pain, the way his lips brushed, and held mine, it washed away every other feeling apart from pleasure.

I clutch on his t-shirt even harder. I could feel him smile while kissing me. Now I feel his one hand going upward from my waist and feeling my back. It reaches the back of my neck. He held my neck to keep me from moving my face even a little bit.

I could feel his breath getting hot and heavy. I feel a little out of oxygen so I try to make some space but his other hand on my waist holds me tight and keeps me closer to him. Our bodies were right upon each other.

My hands were on his back clutching onto his shirt. There was no space for even an air particle to pass through between my breast and his chest.

I feel him pulling away. Well I think we both are in serious need of some oxygen now.

And then both our lips parts away from each other. Liam's beautiful brown eyes keep piercing into mine. Telling me that he liked what he tasted.

But I need some reassurance here.

"Did you like what you tasted?" I whisper with a smirk touching my lips.

"Oh I did." He chuckles. "Can I taste this again sometime? I mean sometime soon."

I lick my lower lip and say "I would love for you to do that."

He gently cups my cheeks with both his palms and brushes his thumb on my lips and says "good night. See you at school tomorrow."

"Yeah see you at school."

I come back inside the house still thinking about the kiss. Thankfully mum did not know that I was outside. She's still in the kitchen doing some work. As I start to go upstairs "Evelyn. Honey. Your phone was buzzing like crazy. I thought you were upstairs where you were coming from.?"

Shit. I cuss myself

"Oh. It's. Uh. Chloe was here. I accidentally took one of her notebooks and we have a test tomorrow. So she came by to take it back."

"OK... but check your phone, maybe it was something important." Mum didn't really pay attention to what I said. She was busy with some fundraiser thing. It was 2 weeks away.

After lying to mum. I go upstairs. And my body isn't listening to me.

I wanna dance. And jump. And maybe even fly!

My hands are in the air. My foot's moving in a pattern like it was following a rhythm, the butterflies in my stomach were doing salsa. I want to scream out of happiness. I want to go upstairs, call Chloe and Leo and tell them about the kiss.

Leo would be so psyched!

I enter my room. And find my phone lying on the study table. I unlock it and find something that distracts me from all the happy feelings.

480 notifications! What the hell?!

Then I recall that mum told me about my phone buzzing like crazy. I open Instagram and see an anonymous post.

I couldn't move my eyes, I felt trouble breathing as I saw what the post was.

It's a picture of Jasper and I in the nearby café. It was from that day when we met to plan to bring Chloe and Jasper together. He's saying something and I had an ear to ear grin on my face. That must be the time he told me how his brother threatened him to bring a burger. The caption read

Hush. Just pretend like we are friends.(winky face emoji, the finger-on-lip emoji)

My heart fell into my stomach. There is a feeling of a knot in my throat. I freeze. I literally freeze and I can't move. I can't think of anything else but Hazel's words. It rang in my mind and talking seemed to be an impossible task.

I see all the comments and the reactions of so many people. That post has definitely reached every single soul of Swinden High. Including Chloe, Leo and Liam.

The temperature isn't very high but I'm sweating on my forehead and my palm.

Hazel's voice keeps playing in my head. On repeat ! Evelyn. Evelyn. Evelyn. Babe, you're so screwed.

Oh. I'm so screwed.
