Chapter 20: A Talking To

ExplodingTNT's Pov:
I blinked once and twice as I lifted my head up gently. I blinked multiple times until my vision cleared. I tried to move my arms but, I couldn't. I moved my head to see that I was in a different location and away from the others. I panicked slightly as I tried to move only to see my arms were chained down to a rock. "Wait, I could just use my fire skills!" The words above my head exclaimed. I summoned my flames and tried to warm up the chains to see if they would melt. Yet, it never happened and I was left with boiling hot chains on my wrists. "Oh, bad idea. Now, they'll definitely leave a mark." The words whined as I looked around. I desperately tried to find something to use to escape. I tried to look for someone who could help me. "Oh, poor little Sam. So oblivious to your surroundings and the people you trust." A female voice spoke in a lowered tone. "Correct, master. I wonder how he even survives in such conditions with those people!" A male voice exclaimed, cheerfully. "Who are these two? What are they talking about?" The words questioned. I start to panic more, I started to sweat as I looked around to see who these people were. "Don't be afraid, my dear. I don't bite unless it's necessary." The female voice spoke as she put her hand around my chin. She made me face her and I noticed immediately who it was. "Zero!" The words exclaimed as I glared at her. I noticed someone was behind her and it seemed he noticed me staring as he peeked from behind her. "Zeph!" The words exclaimed. "What do you two want from me?" The words asked as they both backed away from me.

"I just have a favor to ask but, first an explanation from my dear element to explain my actions." Zero replied, smirking. "I've been spying on your group lately and I can't help but, notice how unfairly they treat you," Zeph spoke, crossing his arms. "Eh? What are you even talking about?" The words asked as I grew curious. "It's very simple, really. Do you notice how they treat you? How they react to you?" Zeph questioned. I looked away for a second as I tried to think about what he just said. I bit my bottom lip as I realized about the answers I thought of.

"Exactly, all of them are negative. They treat you like thrash simply because of a misunderstanding when you first met." Zeph explained, noticing my reaction. Zero soon showcased a video clip of the event in the palm of her hands. It showed how I attacked them in fear until I calmed down and I sighed deeply. "And your point is?" The words asked as I looked back at them with a glare. "Obviously, we want you to betray them and show them who's boss. Help us, defeat them and take over this pathetic world!" Zero explained, a smirk growing on her face.

"But, they are my friends and sure, we started off in the wrong spot. But, I still trust them and I want to defeat you guys!" The words explained as I struggled from the chains on me. "Oh, you poor thing, haven't you gotten it yet?" Zero asked as she walked toward me. I immediately step back until I was against the rock behind me. She put both of her hands on either side of me and my eyes widen at the motion. "Your friends hate you!" She yelled, angrily.

"They're merely using you to get the job done! I mean, haven't you heard their conversations or how they react around you?" Zero asked. "Well, I mean, I've heard them but, I believe they have stopped being immature." The words responded as I looked down. "Sam, listen to us then, listen to yourself. Do you remember those dreams you have of the timeline?" Zeph spoke, suddenly. I look up as I nodded slowly and Zero backed away from me. "What do they all have in common?" Zeph asked, walking toward me as well. "I suppose, they include me getting hurt." The words replied.

"And?" Zeph spoke as he waited for me to respond. "It seemed as if they blamed me, hurt me, used me, and finally killed me." The words added as I rubbed my arms with my hands. "Exactly, those dreams are clearly telling you something which is they aren't your friends. They aren't to be trusted." Zeph explained, putting his hands on my shoulders. "Those assholes want nothing more than to see you suffer! So, why not do something before that happens!" Zeph continued, shaking me slightly as a sinister smile crept his face. "Like what?" The words asked, curious.

"Betray them and backstab them, they deserve it. They need to know and learn about all that pain you went through!" Zeph explained, a bit of laughter in his voice. I thought about it for a while as I looked away. Failboat, Liz, Pink Sheep, Purple Shep, Ender Dragon, Seth, Violet, and Hexa. "But, what about Hexa?" The words asked. "Oh, already agreeing? Hm, well, she definitely needs to be taught a lesson, after all, she never bothered to stand up for you." Zero explained, chuckling softly as she did. "You make good points and I agree with many things so, I'll do it!" The words exclaimed as I smirked.

"A good decision but, before we begin, I must make sure that Hexa is completely oblivious to this," Zero spoke, putting her hands together. "Wait for my signal, 'kay? Until then, ExplodingTNT!" She exclaimed and a puff of smoke appeared. I closed my eyes as I coughed until it finally cleared away. I looked both ways and looked down as I thought about what happened. I might be making the worst decision of my life by betraying a team of heroes. Yet, at the same time.

I don't mind being the villain!
