GENESIS BOBOLONIUS HAD COVERED HER FACE, USING A PIECE OF CLOTH TO COVER THE LOWER HALF OF HER FACE. She had left the tower in search of a gift for her sister; Jasmine. She has wanted to gift her something, as the two were now unsure of who would be getting married.
The scarf she wore, wrapped around her head, before covering just below her nose and below, not that she needed to do such a thing. No one on the kingdom had seen her for years. But since she lost her father in the war.
She had already found a gift, and hadn't brought much out with her, that because Jasmine said that she had a terrible problem of continuing to buy whatever it was, that she believed Jasmine would like.
She carefully examined one of the food products, then she tuned her heard in hearing someone yell. But, upon doing so, caught a glimpse of tel children, who were unbathed, and stood in front of a table of bread. It was clear they were hungry.
Genesis approached the two, crouching down a bit to speak to them, face-to-face. She gently wiped the girl's face, as she tried to cheer the kids up, she forced a smile. "Are you hungry? Here," she turned to the table, handing a load to each child. "take some bread."
The children immediately brightened up, smiles before running off in excitement.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" A man called from ending her. "You steal from my brother."
"Stealing? No, I-" she begins to explain.
"You pay or I take bracelet," the man threatens, pretending with a smile.
Genesis's hand immediately clamped onto said bracelet, covering it from the man's sight. She had been going to pay, and did not like the way the man immediately assumed she was stealing. "Let me go!" She yelled when he simply grasped her hand, and lifted it up to remove the bracelet.
When someone rushed forward, grabbing onto her hand and the man's. "Wow! Take it easy, Jamal!" The young man says.
"Kalil walks away from the stall and this one, she steals the bread." The man, Jamal apparently shouts.
"Those children were hungry!" She defends. "And had you not-"
"Okay, give me a minute," the young man says, as he turns to Genesis.
But, Jamal grasped his shoulder to turn to him. "You keep your little street rat nose out of it! Huh?"
"What the-" Genesis begins to defend the younger man, around her age.
But, the boy turned to her, voice lowered in a soft whispered tone. "Do you have any money?" He held her wrist.
She paused to think. Maybe to pay for one loaf, after what she had brought for Jasmin, but the two? "No, I had-" she goes to explain.
"Okay, trust me," the boy continues in a soft tone. As he stared into her eyes. She looked back, unable to remove her eyes from his face. He was handsome, and already kind.
But, then he turns, her bracelet in his hand. "Here you go." He hands it to the man.
"Wait!"
"This is what you wanted, right?" The boy asked.
"Yeah. Thank you," Jamal grins.
"I can come back and pay, return that to me!" Genesis moved forward.
"Okay, and an apple. For your troubles," the boy tossed the man an apple. Before he grasped Genesis's hand, pulling he along.
"That was-I am not leaving without my bracelet!" She exclaimed, trying to get out of the young man's grip.
"You mean this bracelet?" He asked and held up the gold bracelet, light blue stones on the form of it. "Come on."
"Aladdin!" The man yelled out.
Which caused for the other to pause. Genesis looked at him. "Are we in trouble?"
"Only if you get caught." He smiled then pointed. "Down that alley, monkey knows the way."
"Gaurd's! Guards!" The man called for.
The boy leaned forward, closed to Genesis, so, the monkey jumped from his shoulder to her's. "You'll be fine." He tells her when he seees her hesitance.
She was just glad she wasn't allergic to monkeys. And immediately ran. She hoped the boy wouldn't get himself in trouble or injured.
