Chapter 1

It was a week before school. The autumn season started to fall in, and children were heading to store for school supplies. The summer was great, besides the heat and the raging rays of the sun. Dean and I were always together. We went to many places, and even took Sam along. But besides all the fun and romance, I was thought how to drive! It was scary at first, although sooner or later I gained my confidence. Dean and Dad did most of the teaching, they we're the only ones willing to do so.

Today, Dean took Sam and I to a fast food restaurant for some burgers. We ate in laughs and Sam's cheesy jokes.  He was on a role, I literally almost choked on my food. Dean covered his mouth, trying not to laugh out loud because of how cheesy the joke was, but that eventually failed. I loved it Dean when he smiled. I loved it more when he was laughing.

"Okay okay! I got another one!" Sam said, gasping slightly for air, from his laughing.

"Sam please," Dean covered his face with both of his hands, hiding his smile. "Your jokes are so cheesy, I night turn lactose intolerant!"

"Last one! I swear!" Sam coughed. "Okay. I know this is cheesy, but I feel grate!" I burst into laughter. Dean slammed his head on the table, begging Sam to stop.

"Fine then Dean..."  I said, panting a bit from my laughing. "Do you want to hear a pizza joke instead?"

"Please.... something different." He picked up his head.

"Never mind. It'll be too cheesy." I added. Sam and I both started laughing and high gives each other, leaving Dean in his lonely world of woe.

"Cas, not you too..." He said, slipping a chuckle. He sighed and sat up straight, looking at the table. "You tell those jokes Sam, and you're only gonna get beat up."

"Thanks Dean. What a way to get my spirits up for my first day of high school." Sam replied sarcastically, stuffing a few fries in his mouth.

"That's right!" I gasped lightly. "You're gonna be a freshman!"

"I know right? I'm so excited. So many things to do, and new people! Maybe I can get a girlfriend!"

"A girl that's a friend." Dean said, correcting Sam.

"Aw what! That's not cool!" Sam whined, his expression looked disappointed and upset.

"Sorry." Dean shrugged. "Bitch."

"Jerk."  Sam replied, huffing and resting his head on the table.

"Oh common you guys. That's enough. Sam, Dean is only worried about you. That's all. It is your first year. Babe, shut up. Sam is going I have to grow up sometime. Might as well start with a girlfriend." I concluded, both of them looking to the side in defeat. I sat in victory and took a sip of my water. Yes, my water. Ever since that day I found out Dean was my savior from the lake eight years ago, I lost my fear for water. I would dangle my feet over the dock again. I would actually go to the pool with Dean and get in. I take showers now. My whole life was changed. The only thing I'll never get used to, was how plain water tasted.

"I think the problem isn't me." Sam broke the silence. "I think it's Dean. I mean, he's a senior this year! What's he gonna do after he graduates?" Dean and I stared at each other. I never really thought of that. What is he going to do?

"I never said anything.... but I was actually given a full scholarship because of my excellent swimming...."  Dean mentioned, clutching his hand that was on the table.

"Hey! That's actually really great! You'll get your whole college paid for!" Sam sat up excited. "Where at?" Dean swallowed hard before speaking.

"Oklahoma." He licked his lips. My heart dropped, and my stomach turned.

"Dean!" His name forced out of my mouth. "That's a long way from Kansas!" I added, trying to fight back the tears that wanted to escape my eyes.

"I know..." he replied softly, fiddling with his fork.

"What's the big deal? That's a good thing!" Sam looked at both of us. "...Right?" It was quiet for a bit.

"Sammy, if I leave to college, you'll have to move with Bobby." Dean spoke hesitantly. "You'll be in another state, with another school." Sam's smile dropped. "We won't see each other for a long time..."

"But..." Sam tried to say something, but nothing came out of his mouth. His eyes just dropped to the floor instead. My heart was slowly breaking. If Dean leaves, I won't see him again. He'll be at college, and I'll be stuck here for my last two years of school-- without him. I looked out the window, cover in my mouth with my trenchcoat, and closing my eyes tight, doing my best not to cry. The aroma was sad. Nobody wanted Dean to leave. I could hear him get up from his chair and sit in the one next to me. He pulled me into his arms as he wrapped them around me. I started to cry silently in his chest.

"I don't want you to leave....!" I said, my voice muffled. I could feel him rest his chin on my head. "I just found you... I don't want to lose you again!"  Dean sighed as he pulled me back to look into my eyes. He lifted my chin so that he could plant a gentle kiss on my lips. Then he embraced me again, I could hear his own sad sighs leaving him.

"And I just found you." He whispered. "I don't want to leave again..." Warm tears rolled down my cheeks as he said those words. I could feel Sam hug me from the back. He didn't want Dean to leave either. Nobody did. If he did, it would change a lot of things. Like he said, Sam would have to move and I wouldn't see him ever again, I would be left alone here in Kansas, and the swim team would lose it's luster. Dean was their shining star.

I didn't know what I was going to do. But for the best of it, I wanted every moment to be with Dean. If he was going to go to Oklahoma, might as well go out with a bang. I turned to wrap my arm around Sam to bring him in between Dean and I. Sure, we had families of our own, but us three, just the three of us, we were a family in our own eyes. And no of us wanted to break it up.

"I love you guys." Sam said softly, stammering slightly. "I wish nothing will ever tear us apart." Dean sighed, nodding barely.

Me too Sam, me too.
