By the time Arthur gets me inside half the guest have already left the gathering. Arthur sits me down on the reclining chair. He grabs a ice pack and applies it to my spider bite.
" Does it hurt?"
He asks in a worried voice. But I wasn't listening.
For some reason I felt....
Weird. Like this was a dream. Also since when Is Arthur blue? I squint my eyes with a drunken grin: the poison clearly making me act weird.

" Mari?-"

"Arthur since when are you a blue berry....."

Arthur stands there staring at me confused. But I swear to you he was blue! I'm not on something.
Suddenly I begin to ramble slurs of randomness.
" You know what it just doesn't make sense! Why do they call it sandwiches if it's not made with sand?"

Arthur continues to watch me like a hawk. Ace comes I to the living room as I glare at him.
" Uh is she okay?"
Arthur let's out a sigh of anguish as he says
" Does it look like it ace! Mari got bit by a black widow and ever since she's been rambling -"

Arthur stops talking as I begin to laugh hysterically. The u both stare at me as I continue to ramble.

" Why do we park in driveways and drive in parkways?
Why do they say the clouds are moving when. It's actually the ground revolving? Why do they call it pink lemonade if there's no pink lemons!!??"
I begin to burst into laughter. More over a squeal as I lay upside down on the couch.
Ace glances at Arthur: Arthur glances at ace.

" Oh would you look at the time! I should get going!"
Ace says as he wanders off. Clearly making a excuse not to be involved with this dilemma.
" Ace don't leave me alone with her I'm goona go insane!-"

But it was too late . Ace was already half way out the door. Arthur stares at me as I slowly walk up to him.
" Mari what are you+"
Without hesitation I jump on Arthur . He lets out a yelp as my knee accidentally hits his boy zone.
" Oh Jesus Christ...."
Arthur whimpers as I giggle
" Hey Arthur?"
" Mari get off your squishing me+"

Arthur tries to push me away but I flick his nose hard. He grunts in pain as he pushes me off.
" That's it!!!! I'm not waiting for this dumb doctor!!"
Arthur picks me up like a sack of potatoes and grabs the roll of duct tape under the kitchen sink.

Less then ten minutes later I'm ductaped to the couch.

" You may have won this time blue Smurf but mark my words......."
My vision fades as I finally pass out. My body weak due to the poisoning.

When I wake up I'm laying in a bed. I'm tucked in nicely. My head is killing me and for some reason I feel weak. I can't seem to remember anything that happened before I fell asleep.

The bedroom door opens to my surprise it's Arthur.
A cup of tea in one hand a thermometer in the other
" Glad to see your awake. Thankfully after you fainted the doctor was able to get the spiders venom out of you. But I'm here to take care of you . So how are you feeling"

" Like someone cracked my head open"
Arthur checks my temperature: which has finally went down to a suitable temperature.
He smiles and caresses my cheek.
" I'm glad to see your back to normal"

" What happened-"

" You were acting weird as hell that's what "
Arthur clears his throat and pats my head.
" But your alright now. So how about we go get you something to eat. The rest of the gang are waiting for us."

" The rest?"
Arthur nods with a grin
" The new gang members."
