🎬 A Weekend with rocketstarletta 🎬

😊😊😊

Rocket aka Rachel ( rocketstarletta) is the bubbliest person I have ever met on Wattpad and we were fast friends. Her works totally show her nature out and her style of writing is enigmatic. Her new book 'Totally Superheroes' is an epic adventurous read and I ( aurora_thoughts)  recommend it totally. Her answers totally made my day and it was like two friends catching up after a long time. Thank you, Rachel, for taking the time for this interview.

(P.S ignore my Totally's)

**Clears throat, now let us start!

🌞 How did you discover Wattpad?

R: From a friend on a different website!

🌞 What is the meaning behind your username?

R: rocketstarletta is actually my pen name! I always loved space aesthetics, so this is where my username came from for my love of the celestial. I also really wanted my pen name to be closest to my actual name in real life. Which was Rachel. And luckily, Rocket was the closest name to my own. It even has the same amount of letters! And Starletta is just my love for stars, as well as it signifies I have a long last name in real life! XD

🌞 What inspired you to start writing in general?

R: What inspired me to write is to get to my dream of being a director!

🌞 You won our Mini-Contest. How do you feel?

R: I feel so excited!! Honestly! I never even expected I would win second place! Lol! I was so, so genuinely surprised by that! <3

🌞 Was it hard to think of your unique question?

R: Not really! I'm just a really creative person, so it did not take me long to think of a unique question! Uniqueness is my forte!

🌞 What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (in 2-3lines)?

R: My book is called "Totally Superheroes!"

The genre is Fantasy! And it's about three girls trying to navigate their way through a boarding school while having to juggle high school drama and their secret that they are supers! <3

🌞 Is it completed? How often do you update?

R: This book I actually just started not too long ago! I update it every other Saturday! But I am hoping to bump it up to every Saturday!

🌞 How did you come up with the book title?

R: It was super simple! No pun intended! Literally, one day, when I was writing the plot for the book, it suddenly came to me and I was like: *Gasps* "This is totally the title!"

🌞 What inspired you to write it?

R: My love for superheroes! I love Marvel and D.C. Supers! And I always wanted to try to write a superhero book, but I could never think of a plot, until one day I did! And I couldn't wait to write it! <3

🌞 Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

R: Honestly, it's all in my own imagination, like for the relationships between characters, the dialogue, the characters, the plot is all by me. Though, I do have a little help from movies, tv shows, books, and the internet because if I am working on a book about a specific creature or human of some sort, I want it to be accurate! c;

🌞 How important is research to you when writing a book? What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning this book?

R: Honestly, it is very important to me when I am writing a book. Accuracy is what I strive for. Though there's often a little wiggle room with this and this is where I get creative! I research a ton of things like, if I am writing a book that is fantasy, I research anything and everything on that topic. And I don't spend very long on it unless I have a lot of questions. Basically, I just read it, absorb it, and then ideas come to me at a snap of a finger sometimes and then other time it may take some time!

🌞 Is anything in your book based on real-life experiences or pure imagination?

R: It's both for me! It depends on how I feel when I am writing for the character! If the character is close to me or someone I know, then it is easy for me to incorporate something that has happened to me or someone else. And sometimes I just let my imagination go wild! XD

🌞 Do you work with some outline, or just write?

R: Oh, yes! I work with an outline! Though, I call it a plotline! It makes it so easy for me to briefly write what happens in that chapter in advance and then when I write the actual chapter, I don't forget anything I need to write for the chapter!

🌞 Is there something you edited out of this book? Or plan to? Why?

R: There are many times where I edit things out and then revise them. The reason I revise them is I don't like to give up on an idea so fast, so all I do is fix it and it's good as new! I actually never had to plant anything in my books though! Hehe! c

🌞 What was the hardest scene to write? Why?

R: I think the hardest scene that I will write will be where the girls battle different villains. I haven't actually written that part yet but I have a feeling it would be a challenge since I haven't actually written too many battle scenes!

🌞 What was your favourite chapter or part to write and why?

R: My favourite parts to write is the relationships between characters. And the reason for that is I always love building the relationships between them. As well as I love character development and that's what makes a likeable character! <3

🌞 Are you happy with the number of reads it has?

R: Well, yeah, it's a good amount! I'm not sure if I would get any more though! Hehe! XD

🌞 Do you try to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

R: I always go original! It's my vision and I wouldn't change anything! <3

🌞 How have you selected the names of your characters?

R: I always love unique names so I'm always going to choose them over some common ones. I also choose the ones that best fit my character's personality. Like, Eliza Rhoades is sweet and classy, Raleigh Finch is fun and unique, and Alya Day is shy and creative. I just always loved these names and I always wanted to use them for a book! As well as their last names too! A little cool fact about Raleigh's last name is that it hints towards her superhero persona! ;p

🌞 What is your favourite and least favourite character? Why?

R: My favourite character has to be between, Alya, Parker ( the boy Alya meets ), or Eliza! I can't choose one! They are all so sweet and that's why I love them! XD

And my least favourite character has to Angelica because she's just so negative and she puts down Eliza.

🌞 Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

R: Honestly, I hear from very few readers. Though, I always love getting feedback from them so the number doesn't matter to me! They usually say really, really nice things, comment on their reaction to my books and many other sweet things!
