Dear Evan Hansen
Like I said on my last post, I was going to see DEH on December 7th. Welllll today is December 7th and omg DEH was AMAZING!!!
Here's some photos (the black part on the playbill is blocking the location😉):
I got my DEH script signed as well as two playbills and bought a shirt and a cap. It has kinda become a tradition that whenever I see a musical, I need to get a cap.
Stephen Christopher Anthony did an incredible job as Evan! His voice is a bit higher than Ben's but I think that just makes Evan seem more nervous whenever he's talking/rambling. Samantha Williams was Alana and she was hilarious! My friend and I were like: "Alana's favorite word is probably acquaintance-".
Connor was played by Noah Kieserman and he is just so nice and funny! I met him during the signings and one person yelled: "Your real name's Connor right?" and he replied a sarcastic: "Yes".
Everyone did an outstanding job but my favorite songs that they preformed was Requiem, Waving Through a Window, Disappear, You Will Be Found, and Good For You.
Ya'll are gonna hate me buttttttttttt I connected more to when I saw DEH than to when I saw Hamilton. It's mostly 'cause Hamilton is based on History and DEH is more relevant with today's world so PLS DON'T HATE ME!
Also! Ya'll shouldn't compare DEH with Hamilton. Both musicals are amazing and people shouldn't be looked down upon just 'cause they like one or the other better!
(I don't know the artist so if one of you guys know pls tell me!)
I've seen only two musicals so far: Hamilton and DEH. My next musical might be Frozen 'cause it's coming near me in June - July. If ya'll have any questions about the musical or anything else just comment and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability!
~Scarlett 💛
