┃CHAPTER 10

UNEDITED

PSA: THIS IS LONG AND SAD, SORRY IN ADVANCE :D

"Everybody get down!" A voice shouted, most likely Felix, and most the guests threw themselves onto the floor. Obviously Minho, who was probably insane at this point, didn't move a muscle and continued to stare down the intruders.

Intruders wearing clown masks.

"What even is my life," Jisung quietly whispered before dramatically getting up from the floor to follow his stupidly heroic fiance (they weren't ever married yet!)

Minho had noticed Jisung's advances towards him and turned to face him with a shocked expression, "What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to get hurt?"

"I should be asking you that!" The other shouted back, "Sometimes I genuinely wonder if you love the near death experiences that we face, you sure as hell don't seen to hate them."

Minho's eyebrows were raised so high up Jisung feared they would fly off his forehead, "What?! You think I want to get us killed?"

"Well it doesn't look like you're running for cover! Stop trying to sacrifice yourself to Voldemort and get under the fucking table."

"Did- did you just-" Minho took a moment to fully turn his body to face Jisung's, "Did you just make a Harry Potter reference in the middle of an intrusion?"

"Is that what this is?" Jisung asked in a fake confusion, "By the looks of their weapons and the way they just said we were never going to get married I think they're going to do more than intrude."

"If they wanted to kill us then they would have blown us up! Why would they go through all the trouble of breaking in and making an entrance just to kill everyone?!" The mafia bosses son asked incredulously, eyes popping out their sockets. "You know what- I'm not having this conversation with you until you are safely away from the line of fire."

"Line of fire my ass! Get your pretty boy butt under the fucking table or I will throw it at your head!"

"Excuse you, but this pretty boy butt has saved you multiple times over the past few days-"

"Few days?! It's been a day and a half and we've nearly died. Which means, YOU SHOULD GET UNDER THE TABLE!"

"SHOUTING ISN'T HELPING YOU FOOL! MOVE OR I'LL KNOCK YOU OUT AND DRAG YOU TO THE TABLE!"

"ARE YOU THREATENING ME? ON OUR WEDDING DAY?!"

"Uh, I hate to interrupt your heated discussion," A loud voice suddenly said, bringing both Jisung and Minho out of their argument. They had began shouting at eachother and nudging eachother away from the line of fire that they were only inches apart. They turned their attention back to the dozens of confused looking clown intruders, "But we could literally blow your brains out."

Jisung snorted, causing everyone to stare at him in shock. Minho, who looked like he was suppressing a stroke, was about to tackle his future husband onto the floor to make sure he didn't open his mouth and say something stupid.

But, Jisung was too quick, "I'd like to see your try." He stated with confidence and Minho was going to pop a vein at his tense stature.

"Nope, I would not like to see you try, please refrain from shooting out his brains," Felix stated from under a chair, Minjun strangely quiet in his grasp. However all the intruders completely ignored his statement and stared at the pair at the alter.

It seemed Jisung's claim had startled the frozen intruders and Minho was thankful for that, but curiosity was growing. It was like his last claim, why hadn't they just killed everyone. Obviously, judging by the weapons this wasn't a threat or a show, there seemed to be a motive. If it was to kill everyone separately then they would have started to shoot as soon as the door opened. So, there was only one answer-

Kidnap.

Of-fucking-course.

The tired sigh Minho let out must have given the intruders- kidnappers- a reality check, and they began to move forward step by step. Though they were dressed like complete and utter fools, they were all moving with a professional stance; obviously indicating that these individuals weren't amateurs.

Unconsciously, Minho moved closer towards Jisung, the other boy relaxing when their shoulders touched.

The venue was silent, the intruders watching the guests with silent eyes behind their ridiculous masks, neither of the parties wanting to engage first.

Minho leaned closer to Jisung and whispered, "We have a problem."

"No shit." Jisung replied with a breathy laugh, but it was obvious to anyone how scared the business man was.

"I'm pretty sure this is a kidnapping." He said, ignoring his fiancé's (again, they weren't even married yet!) sarcastic statement.

Jisung tensed up at that, subtly shooting a glance towards the left side of the room where Minho's father was fuming under a table- surrounded in a cage of bodyguards.

But Minho shook his head, and Jisung understood just who was the target.

He groaned, "For fuck sake."

"Excuse me! Quick question-" Minho then said, talking to crowd like this was completely natural occurrence, "How did you get past security?"

Now listen here, while Minho was...intellectually questionable- he wasn't stupid! So he had hired layers upon layers of security guarding the venue they were getting married in. Afterall, the mafia boss and his son were he as well as Jisung's siblings- too many great lives to sacrifice.

But now Minho has come to the conclusion that whatever he does, the universe does not want him to get married.

"Easy," one of then said, voice having a raspy undertone, "Shot 'em dead."

There was an outburst of gasps and cries, Jisung's hairs stood on edge at the carefree statement.

Until another clown smacked their partner accorss the head with the back of their gloved hand, making them stagger forward in surpise. "What the fuck dude?!"

"Stop scaring them!" The masked figure said with authority, before turning back to the confused guests, "They're all asleep, but very much alive."

"Right," Minho said cautiously, putting a hand behind his thigh. He was at an angle where all of his guests, specifically his assassin groomsmen and women, could see him, but no one else could.

He held up two fingers, "attack on command"

Then four, three, five, "kidnapping"

He didn't need to see their faces to know they understood, and unfortunately neither did the intruders.

"Ah Lee Minho," the supposed leader said, "No need to be secretive, we know you. We've watched you for years, so we know how you think."

There was a pause, so prominent and suffocating that Minho could imagine the wide grin behind the mask of all those watching them.

The leader took in a deep breath, leaning forward, "Bring me Han Jisung."

As a result, chaos ensues.

Not even a second after those (quite dramatic) words were uttered, Jisung watched in horror as all the clown masks turned and locked onto him like a missile. Like a coalition of cheaters, they moved towards him.

But at the same time, Minho bellowed out a loud and gut wrenching, "Go!" making the wedding guests stand up and make there way to the uninvited villains. It was flurry of bodies, throwing themselves into the line of fire (well, except Jisung's guests, who were terrified and crying under the tables).

It was only when Jota moved to stand beside Jisung did his heart drop, realising Jota was supposed to be in the other room with all the young children who couldn't sit still during the ceremony.

"Don't worry sir," Jota cut off his thoughts, "Mr Yonghyun is with them- he is trained in martial arts."

In any other situation, Jisung might have laughed at the image of his lanky brother fighting off kidnappers in clown masks, but instead he felt like crying.

The clowns were fighting back all the assassins and other mafia members, so Jisung could only watch them in horror and worry. There was some sort of circle around him, no one was getting passed. On his left was Jota, stance ready to jump infront of him or push anyone away, and on the right Felix- who was shaking in anticipation.

"Ugh I can't just watch!" The deep voice suddenly shouted, turning to Jisung and placing Minjun in his arms messily, "I'll be right back!"

With that he practically dived into the mosh pit of fighting, "COME AT ME YOU FUCKING CLOWNS!"

There was incoherent shouting and screaming, and even the smashing of chairs and tables. But all Jisung could think about was the significant lack of bullets from the enemies.

The clowns, armed with an army worth of guns, were not shooting. Instead, it was Minho and his side who were shooting like they had no control, however the bullets just bounced off the others. That or, they simply took the bullets and kept on fighting.

He groaned, "Gee, nice to know these kidnappers have morals."

But then he also realized that this wasn't going to end unless the clowns were captured (a voice in his head reminded him, or killed) or he be captured and potentially tortured for information.

But if so, why were they not shooting? Surely with the guns as an advantage, and if used correctly then this whole thing could be over. They could even hurt him and make it easier to drag Jisung away, but instead they were being cautious.

He was reminded of the clowns past statement, and how all of them had discouraged the one who had made a vulgar and violent statement. They weren't just un-murderous, but they also seemed to want everyone to be safe.

Jisung concluded, that absolutely nothing was making sense.

Those who made it through the circle around Jisung, Minjun and Minho's father were instantly dragged back by the assassins (God there was nothing more satisfying then watching a women in a long satin dress drag a man back by his legs), or kicked back by Jota and the other bodyguards.

There was a split second of terror, when one of the clowns reached out towards him, and Jisung staggered back to fall onto his back.

Minjun, being quiet for the duration of this fight, let out a loud scream all of a sudden. It shook Jisung out of his horror stricken facade, and he looked down to the distressed baby in worry. It sounded so painful that both Minho and Felix spun round in fear.

Minho wrenched himself out of the fight he had been in to turn and tackle the clown, slamming them and himself onto the floor. He shot up just as someone came up behind him, clocking the gun and spinning around on his heel to-

and there, that was the opening they had been waiting for.

Felix was suddenly round house kicked to the ground, immediately held down by 2 or 3 clowns, eyes rolling to the back of his head at the impact.

Jisung frantically realised he needed to get out now, and was mid way to getting up towards Jota to find a way out of the venue- when he locked eyes with Minho.

It was like the world took pity on them, or wanted to torture Jisung, as time itself slowed down. The businessman watched, heart dropping a mile, when the back of a gun made contact with Minho's head.

The Mafia's son staggered forward, not having a grasp of the situation, before someone kicked him hard in the back. He crashed forward, laying flat on the floor. Jisung's heart was beating out of his chest, he slowly pushed an arm to the ground to shakily stand up when a clown grabbed Minho by his hair, pulling him up to his knees. His arms were pulled behind him, held at a tight grip.

That set off a train reaction, one by one those who were fighting for Jisung's safety dropped down, getting hit with a force that wasn't there before.

Jisung stared mouth agaped, realising how horrible the situation had turned so quickly. The assumed leader was the one who was fighting Minho, and as soon as the chocolate haired man was down, the other clowns beat down their opponents with a sudden lift of power.

These guys were extremely skilled, so much so that it was horrifying to watch. But presumably so were Minho's- his men and women were supposed to be the best. So how had these kidnappers overpowered them so easily was a lingering thought.

Minjun continued to scream, his cries sending Jisung's blood to a boil.

The venue was silent, Jisung's guests had made it out of the venue amidst the chaos, leaving behind those who had chosen to fight. Many were unconscious, Felix's face haunting Jisung's mind, and others restrained.

Minho was held in a position where he had no choice but to watch Jisung, as a group of clown grabbed him.

"Boss, he's got a baby?" One of them said, their hand tightly holding the back of Jisung's neck.

The leader was still holding Minho back, who was still in a daze from being hit in the head, his eyes not quite focused on Jisung and his tear stained face.

Slowly, the figure wearing the distorted clown mask nodded, after a second or two of contemplation, "We'll take the baby with us."

"N-no." The familiar voice of Felix muttered into the silence, "Let them g-go...you'll regret this."

Jisung stared at the clown mask, a new found passion of murder bubbling in his chest. But the kidnapper barely even flinched, instead, he took a small grenade like object- as did all the other clowns around him.

"I'm sure I will, dear Felix." The masked man said, a hint of sadness in his tone, before he threw the grenade behind him.

Everyone in the venue collectively recoiled, some even letting out cries of fear. But instead of an explosion, a white mist erupted from the dozens off grenades.

The effect was almost immediate, Minjun suddenly going quiet and limp in his arms before someone pulled the baby out of his grasp- covering the small boys mouth and nose with a napkin. Jisung thrashed around, screaming.

"LET HIM GO! PLEASE JUST DON'T HURT HIM!" Jisung lunged forward, only to have the air knocked out of him as someone pushed him back. His limbs felt droopy, and unconsciously he found himself melting into the arms of those around him. Drowsiness took over his senses, eyes threatening to close.

The last thing he saw was Minho- his eyes finally wide and scared, before his vision went dark and he fell into the abyss of black.

One by one the clown watched their opponents drop like flies, finally letting go of the ones that were being held back.

Minho, unsurprisingly, was the last one to be knocked out. Letting out a string of inaudible mumbles, before his head fell forward.

However in an act of compassion, instead of dropping the Mafia's son's body like a doll, the leader of the kidnappers gently dropped him onto the floor, moving his head so it wasn't flat on the ground. If you looked around closely, all the clowns made sure to leave their victims facing upwards, to make sure they could still breath while unconscious.

The clown with the raspy tone held the silent baby, who was yet to be fully unconscious due to the cloth over his nose- taking into consideration that the baby may not inhale the gas well. Another, more taller clown held a knocked out Jisung in his arms, wrapping one his arms around the others waist to hold him more comfortably.

The masks, which now doubled as gas masks, looking even more colourful now due to the desolate room. What had once started as a bright and happy wedding, was not something far more grim.

From the back of the venue, a clown gently moved the youngest assassin, Jeongin, into a more comfortable position. After that they stood up, dusting off their knees, "We have to move, they'll wake up in less than half an hour."

Silence, and then the leader stated:

"Stray Kids, let's move out. Mission complete."
