This is the in-game backstory to Gunpowered Fantasy Online.

It was a normal Fantasy world when the mages and blacksmiths found a new use for Gunpowder. Instead of being used in the back of weapons like cannons and muskets to propel a spherical object, they made bullets.

The need to find out more lead to more research into the bullet leading to the making of weapons to shoot such powerful projectiles. This was how many guns like snipers, pistols, rifles, shotguns, and miniguns were made.

A few wondered if you could have the same with fireworks and bombs, leading to the creation of rocket launchers and bomb launchers.

With all these new ranged weapons, melee never went away. After all, with the speed of some people/creatures and the durability of some shields/creatures, bullets could only do so much.

Melee weapons have more or less stayed the same.

Some more mobile people have taken to using pistols with one handed melee weapons in both hands to cover range and up close combat at once.

With the types of guns many, mages decided to add magic to some guns leading to a new type of gun, magical guns.

Guns with magic enchantments include: Infinite ammo capacity, explosive bullets, stealing health from enemies, ect.

Just some regular enchantments you would find on other weapons.

There have also been new gadgets, armor, and clothing to help, or just look cool with. Such things have also been infused with magic where other worlds would have tech.

Kingdoms have integrated guns into there armys, and so have adventures.
