Storm
It was merely some time that they spent together but she felt attracted to him. She was captivated by his personality so deep that she even she desired to stay with him. Deep down she knew it will never be acceptable, a princess and some wandering common man. But she did not care, that happiness and contentment she felt was huge, even more than her insecurities. She could never imagine him to be vindictive.
The breezes that encricled her, left her mesmerized but there was something that made her feel demure, it was his gaze. She could sense his eyes scanning her body and finally with a piercing look, staring at her. She flipped her pallu and readjusted it with a grin.
"Looks like someone will eat me by just looking at me."
"Sure..why not." He said dreamingly.
"Excuse me."
"I mean why would I? What did you hear princess."
"You think you're too smart right?"
"Do you doubt?" He winked.
She smirked at her own thoughts," His talks are so damn cheesy and of course this smirk would pierce me someday. I cannot even withstand it. His swift answers are murderous."
"No well I certainly do not doubt it. Who are you?"
"I'm Rakshit."
"That's not what I meant although but isn't your name a little uncommon. Haven't heard that even once."
"Thanks princess but what did you actually mean?"
"I meant who are you?"
"Um a human?"
"Hey krishna! I meant what do you do? Where do you belong from?"
"Hmph! I knew you would ask that perhaps a princess would want to have friendship with a corner seemed fishy since the starting."
"Hey! Its not that. Its just I wanted to ask you about it since your my friend. And well I have no issues but I cannot let my father know about it or he'll.."
He interrupted," Or he'll kill me? And punish you?"
"Yeah.. I would never want you to suffer cause of me."
"Don't worry nothing would happen." He passed a smile. She smiled back and looked here and there. The night was seemingly long. Dark yet bright. She was puzzled looking at the strange serenity. Just like she was puzzled yet bedazzled at the same time gazing at him. He seemed like a mystery. A mystery that seemed to give her peace and pleasure.
The night ended and so did their ride. They promised to meet each other since then. Each night she would sneak out of the palace quietly without anyone's attention. Her day was like a princess but soon when dusk knocked her door, she seemed like a common girl that talked and spoke her heart out. It seemed that she had two lives. One in public and one with Rakshit. She seemed to start pleasing his company. A smile played her lips whenever she was near him.
As the days passed, their relationship grew stronger and the days for his attack was approaching.
One stromy night when she returned to the palace. It seemed quiet. She queitly and hastily snuck from the back door and quietly moved towards her room. It was dark, only the mashals ignited. She was hurriedly walking towards her room, however the sound of her anklet alarmed the guards. They began running after her. She was running across the hall when hit the dead end. Their was no way to escape.
The guards handcuffed her and dragged her towards the royal court. Her face was still hidden in the veil where she feared her father's anger.
"May we come in your royal presence?"
"You may enter." The voice seated on the royal throne brimmed. His hoarse voice had the kingly tinge screaming his identity, the king of Multan he was.
"Who is this?" He continued.
"Sire. This woman was found at night, entering the palace at night. Maybe a spy?"
"Unveil this bastard." His enraged voice shook Sanna. She could sense his anger in his voice and his moustache curved which was above his twitching rough lips.
"Who dared to enter Multan's palace at night. Might not be left alive."
Her viel shifted down. Her beautiful, fear stricken face was now seen to all. The entire courtesans were astound. She gulped. Sweat beads on her face. Tears oozed from her eyes. She shut her eyelids tight trying to separate herself from reality.
The king of Multan, advanced forward towards her, descending his throne. His anger filled eyes, horrified everyone. He pulled her hair roughly that brought her to reality.
"Namakul. Namakharam. Humne tumhe humare mahal me aapne bete ka auda diya aur tumne humari hi thali me ched kiya."
"Pita shree aisa nahi hai. Hum..mari baat to suniye."
"Kya bacha hai sunne ko? Tune humare hi sultanate ko girana chaha."
"Pita..shree choriye hume. Hume peeda ho rhi hai."
"Sipahiyo. Iss batzaat ki saza maut hai. Iska sar kalam kar diya jaye, taki aane vale dino me koi bhi vyakti aisa vishvasghat krne se pehle sau baar soche."
She requested his to leave her. But all in vain. Her eyes were all red and swollen. She was pleading him to once hear what she wanted to say but everything was undeard.
Slaaahhh! The sword sliced her neck away from her body. It was in two pieces. Her head flung far away and her body fell on the floor. Lifelessly.
This news spread like fire in the sultanate. Everyone were astonished. Some sad, some confused and some happy with the decision.
"Brother? What is all this commotion and chaos here? Did something happen lately?"
"What can I tell you brother. The princess of Multan is dead."
"Whatt?" Everything seemed a lie to him.
"As I know everyone said that the princess was found guilty as a terrorist or you can say spy. Thus the king killed her. How sad. I still cannot believe the princess would do something this low.."
He forgot to breathe. He felt emptiness inside.
