The night was spent in anticipation by Vani. Veer was worried if Bani will turn up after what happened. He was cursing himself for not keeping his feelings to himself. Bani spent the hours feeling nervous. What will happen tomorrow?

Bani woke up earlier than usual and wore her gym clothes. She set up her bag and looked at herself. She looked different. Maybe because she was no longer tied to the man she didn't want or maybe because she was feeling mixed emotions. She licked her lips before encouraging herself to pursue her feelings and left.

She reached the gym and saw the lights were on. She sighed in relief. At least Veer had not ditched her and wasn't as angry as he had still come. She went inside and saw him. His back was facing her and he was lifting some weights.

B: Hi, good morning.

V: (turns sideways and nods) you can start warming up the usual way.

Bani frowned at his cold demeanour. He always greeted her with a polite smile. She shrugged it off as morning grumpiness and began the routine. As the session progressed, Bani became more and more aware of the awkward silence. Veer, who was always chatty, was quiet. Their session wasn't as interactive and as they progressed towards exercises, Veer tried his best to keep some distance. He tried his level best to not touch her.

B: (in mind: kl mai aise hi bhaag aayi hai, kahin us baat se gussa toh nahi hai?) Veeranshu? Mujhe tumhe kuch batana hai?

V: Is it weight related?

B: What? No!..listen-

V: Then I am sorry miss, if it is not gym related, it is not my concern.

Veer looked away. He couldn't meet her eyes and see the hurt she must have felt. He was stupid. He had kissed and confessed his feelings to a girl who was taken. He let himself sway due to his feelings once, he won't do it again.

B: Pr Veeranshu...

V: Let's keep things professional Bani....

Bani felt like someone had just dumped cold water on her. She knew she shouldn't have ran away like she did yesterday but she was so confused. The good person in her didn't want to betray Jai despite wanting nothing to do with him. She wanted to end things with that man before confessing to Veer. She felt dejected.

Bani's understanding of Veer during all these weeks made it clear for her that he wasn't a guy who with string her along. He must have had feelings as he won't say that lightly. She had seen him around females who gave him attention yet he was always composed. He is definitely not someone who would say something just for the sake of it. She was sure he was trying to hide his feelings.

As Bani's mind was preoccupied with all these thoughts. She absent-mindedly held the weights Veer was passing to her. He quickly wanted to give her and reduce the distance while she was distracted. As a result, she dropped the weight on her foot.

B: Ouch!!!!

Bani was bought out of her thoughts as she felt a sharp pain. It had fallen directly on her toe.

V: Bani!!! Dikhai nahi deta kya?? Ye kya kr rahi thi tum?

Veer made her sit on a seat and took off her shoes. Surely enough, the top of her yellow socks was stained in fresh blood.

V: Dekho khoon beh raha hai....ruko ab

Veer quickly bought the first aid kit that the gym had and took her socks off. He sat in front of Bani on the floor and began cleaning the wound.

B: shh..

Bani winced and held his strong shoulders. Just like that, the small touch undid all the resolve Veer had. It splashed water over all the feelings he was trying to suppress and his mind went back to their kiss. He closed his eyes and breathed. Focusing on the wound, he cleaned it and wrapped a bandage around it. He quietly closed the box and started to get up when Bani used all her strength to push him down.

V: Ye kya kr rahi ho?

B: Veeranshu, meri taraf dekho toh ek baar...aise stranger ki tarah mt treat kro mujhe..

V: Mai aisa kuch nahi kr raha..

Veer did not know what to answer. Bani saw he was trying to get up again. She quickly got off her stool and climbed onto his lap. This surprised Veer. His eyes widened and he looked into her moist ones for the first time since the session started.

Veer was over the moon when he heard this. An ear splitting grin spread on his lips. Bani looked at it and laughed.

B: Stop! You look like the cat from Alice in the wonderland..

V: Is it?

Bani saw the mischief in his eyes and started to climb off his lap. Veer laughed and held her from slipping away.

V: So you are betrothed to none now..

B: Yeah....

V: So, will you be mine?

B: Hmm, let me think..

Bani acted as if she is thinking. Veer pouted at her taking time. She laughed and pecked his nose.

V: Is that a yes.

B: Depends, do you want it to be?

V: Hell yes! Yes yes yes..

Veer pecked all over Bani's face and she laughed.

Veer closed his eyes and cupped her face.

Bani looked at the time.

B: Oops, we went way ahead of session... doosra batch aata hoga na..

V: Hai abhi kuch time..

Veer took her to a pet cafe. He had gathered from a lot of their conversations that she loved animals. They played with the dogs for a while before they got really hungry and had their food. On the way back, Veer drove her to the beach where they walked for a while. The sun had set and stars were twinkling in the clear sky. Vani sat by the shore and looked ahead at the peaceful sea. Ever since they began dating, Vani spent a lot of time together. They spent time at the gym too but instead of Veer training her, they did it together. Bani laughed and Veer opened his vest. He threw it at her. Bani gasped. She had seen him shirtless before but it always took her by surprise. She walked towards him and hugged him from behind.
