It is a combination of the themes of 'perfect body' and a track from TOV- 'Stand by me'. This is like a part two of stand by me. I am attaching a small summery for reference but it would be better if you already knew the story.

Summary: Veer and Bani are childhood sweethearts but Veer starts to ignore her for popularity at college since Bani is shy. Bani, upon Meera encouragement, starts to meet new people and gain confidence. When Veer feels she is slipping through his fingers, he realizes how vain he had been acting. He warns his friends to never make fun of Bani again and apologizes to her in a romantic fashion. Bani learns to be confident from the whole ordeal while Veer learns better prioritization.

Author's Note: This story will have two or three parts, depends. The last part will have the mature content.

Ever since Bani learned to voice out a bit more and Veer realized he cannot do without her, he had been treating her with utmost respect. Despite being in different sections, he would make time for her. He wouldn't let Chandini speak ill about her and didn't pretend in front of his friends.

For Bani, this was absolute best. This is what she wanted. For Veer to not be ashamed of her and love her. For him to not hide her. Vani were happy and soon they entered final year. Dheeraj left college. Bani was sad to see her friend leave but Veer was elated. He trusted Bani but he did not like to fight for his girlfriend's attention.

Araav was happy for his friend and so was Meera. Rest of Veer's gang was indifferent but the one who hated Bani with a passion was Chandini. She thought Veer was hers to claim. She thought his ties with Bani were weak and soon he would ditch Bani and come to her. However, her hopes came crashing down when she realized Vani were rock solid.

Since she could not directly attack Bani, she started to taunt her. Bani acted tough and did not react often but it did hurt her. Inside, she was still the same Bani who was shy and nerdy. Yes, she had gotten over her fear of public speaking but talking back to someone wasn't natural to her. It was her nature to be timid and that nobody can wash away.

B: Meera! Ye Chandini ki mujhse problem kya hai..

M: Jalti hai tujhse Jalkukdi!

B: Kya? Pr kyu...vo to itni sundar hai..

M: Tauba Tauba, ye kya sun liya..chal doctor ke..

B: Kyu?

M: Tere chasme ka number badh gaya hai..

She smacked her forehead and Bani glared at Meera. She adjusted her glasses.

B: Don't be mean okay!

M: Whatever! Chandini doesn't envy just your looks Bani. She envies how good you are, how beautiful you are on the inside. Nobody talks back to Chandini because she says shit and aise logon ko koi mu nahi lagana chahta but people adore you, she knows it and wishes people adored her.

After a second Meera added.

M: Also, I think she has hots for Veer.

B: Ugh!! I knew this! But I trust him.

M: You should! I know Veer, even when he was ignoring you, he loved only you. It is like according to him no one else is a female.

B: kuch bhi Meera! (Bani got shy and blushed)

The next day, the girls had a self awareness session during a break and were inside the large classroom. They were going to talking about periods and sexual health. Chandini came in cat-walking and sat on the seat behind Bani. When no one was looking, she got her minion to crawl under the desk.

Ch: Bani?? Mujhe vo pass krogi??

Chandini's other friend was sitting few rows over. A nice Bani agreed and reached out to take the bottle the girl was passing. The friend behind the table quickly put red liquid on Bani's seat and an unsuspecting Bani sat back.

Ch: How sweet! Thanks babe..

Chandini gave her a fake smile while Bani gave her a genuine one.

Bani and Meera were walking towards the cafeteria.

B: Sb mujhe dekhr has kyu rahe hai???

M: Tujhe nahi dekh rahe ....wait- shyd tujhe hi dekh rahe hai..

B: Pr kyu??

Veer was going to the notice board but stopped when he spotted Bani. He frowned when he noticed that she was uncomfortable and people were just snickering.

V: Bani!!

He quickly rushed to her and enveloped her in a bear hug from behind. Her back was now to his chest.

B: Hi...?

She blushed. Despite being a couple, she wasn't that comfortable with PDA. Veer looked at the people who were now looking here and there.

V: KOI SHOW HAI YAHAN? KYA DEKH RAHE HO? KEEP MOVING!!

M: Kya hua hai..

V: Kuch nahi..chalo..

He walked Bani to the girls washroom and asked Meera to go in.

V: If you girls want me to make a quick run to the chemist, let me know...mai bahar hi hoon..

M: Pr hua kya hai?

MEERA!

Bani voice came from inside and Meera rushed in.

M: Bani tujhe periods aye hai?

B: Wahi baat hai..nahi aye..pr meri pant red hai...mai kya karu ab..ye kaise lga..

M: Kissi ne prank kiya hai...tu ruk

She rushed out and told Veer.

V: Washroom me koi aur ladki hai?

M: Nahi..

Veer rushed in.

B: Veeer?

Bani hugged him tightly.

B: Ye kisne kiya hoga? Aur kyu Veer?

V: I don't know sweetheart but I love you okay. Don't stress.

He removed his jacket and made her wear it. The length covered her bottom.

V: Bs ek class aur hai, then we will straight go home, okay?

Bani nodded. Veer kissed her forehead and dropped her off to her class. Post college, he took her home and she changed into a comfortable dress and sat on the bed.

V: I know you are still thinking about it. Don't okay. It doesn't matter. I promise, I will find out who did it and teach them a lesson...

He cupped her face. Bani smiled and hugged him.

B: Thank you Veer.

Veer kissed her hair. Together they watched a movie and had Chinese take away for dinner. They spend time talking and having a good laugh, the morning incident long forgotten and behind them.

B: Uff!

Bani woke up to her phone going off. She opened her phone to see it was Instagram. She yawned and opened her phone to see. Someone had tagged her on a post and people were tagging her.

She felt like someone had dipped her in ice water when she saw what it was all about.
