Chapter Four

Priscilla

The clouds form darkly pitch tone and rains heavily, I slept peacefully and remembered the moments flowing in my mind.

The food, the clothes he bought me.. why?

My stomach churns terribly and tried to ignore it. The pain, the cramps killing me. It then forms in my throat and I flipped to the other side.

I can't take it.

I immediately got up, rushing to the bathroom and shot up the fluid into the toilet. Sweat cascading down, my parents heard the commotion and rushed to the door, standing so worriedly. "Sweetie! Are you okay?" My father places his hand on top of my forehead, checking. "She's burning up honey." He stares at my mom and pets my head so softly. "Oh sweetie," I continued choking up  the chunks in the toilet and coughed.

My mom pouts and sighs. "You can't go." She says it worriedly.

My face dull and shivering like a wet cat, I stood up and flinched to the sink, washing up my face. "I can take care of myself mom." I shivered.

They shook their heads and my father checks the time. "Not like this, you're sick." She sighs heavily.

"I'm calling the school." My father walks away, patting my back and kissed my mom a goodbye. "And make sure to stay with Priscilla today!" He shouts.

"Where are you going?" My mom responds back.

"Grabbing her medicine." My father replies.

The door closes, my mom pats my back and scans around the room. "Take a warm bath, I'll get you comfy clothes." She kisses my head and walks away, shutting the door with a click.

I sat quietly and felt my stomach churning crazily.

I then backed up the vomit into the toilet, rubbing my mouth and took off my shirt, plopping into the warm heated bath. I slide the curtains and sat comfortably, water sloshing with small waves forming around me.

My phone began to ring, ignoring the painful ringing killing my ears. I closed my eyes feeling tired. Rushing what happened yesterday when I was eating the food. Peter, Bryan and James joking around, Kevin being a parent wiping my mouth with a napkin.

I then jolt up and wrapped myself with a towel, stepping out of the bathtub and stood infront the blurry mirror. Examining my dull self, I poked my face and sighed.

The stomach cramps are killing me, even after a refreshing bath, it still hurts.

"Priscilla!" My mom lends out comfy clothes and opened the door with a small creak.

"You done?" She checks my temperature and sighs. "Hope you feel better with these." She smiles.

I partly cracked a smile and took the clothes, ruffling my hair. "Your father brought the medicine, come down after you changed." She sweetly says and closed the door.

My phone again rung with four messages beeping every second.

Wendy: what happened to you?

Wendy: Priscilla, answer me.

Wendy: 😥 Are you okay?

Wendy: that's it, I'm coming over. I don't care if I have classes.

I sighed and threw my phone at the bed and walked downstairs. My parents sitting quietly, waiting for me. The chair screeches as I sat and tap my fingers on the hard surface. "Priscilla, take this." My father hands me the pill and water.

"Ah ah ah! Before you swallow the pill, you have to eat." My mom sets her hands on her hips, tapping and cocks a brow.

I groaned and pushed the food farther. The smell disturbs me.

"I'm not eating this mom." I flinched.

"You have to, it's your favorite! Soup." She scorns seriously.

Mom's famous vegetable chicken soup was all time my favorite. If I get sick or have flu, she would make it for me. But now, I felt..... different.

"In order to feel better sweetie, you have to." My father whispers.

Rolled my eyes, I slumped my shoulders lower and held the warm piping bowl.

My mom's eyes twitched lightly and tilts her head sideways, waiting for me to eat.

My father sighs pity and turns to my mom. "Lina, give her saltine crackers and a cup of water.. she can't eat." She then huffed with defeat and nods.

"Fine," she stood up, clicking her heels to the kitchen and snatched the box of crackers.

"Here you go." She slides it to me and sat with a creak.

I then took a crunchy bite of it and sipped the water.

My father nods as I finished eating two crackers and halfway of the water.

"Now, eat the pill." My father gave it to me and sets his hand on mom's shoulder.

I swallowed the pill and drunk the water. "How do you feel sweetie?" The two held their hands impatiently and bite their lips. "Slightly Okay." I burped and slid the chair as I stood up. "That's good, get some sleep and I'm sure you'll feel better." She smiles warmly.

I nod and hugged my parents and walked upstairs to my room, shutting it softly.

I plopped on my bed and noticed my cramps aren't hurting anymore. But I can still feel my stomach growling.

I curled into a ball and dozed off.

It was almost twelve.

The door began to knock furiously, I jolt up and stared at the knob as it twists.

It opens with a slow creak and there was Wendy, Kara, Harry and Breck.

"Hello sleepyhead!" Breck almost shouts and was scolded by Wendy.

"She's sick! You idiot, stop shouting." Wendy smacks his head lightly and smiles back at me, holding a cup of ice cream.

Kara hugs me tightly as I wheeze. The four sat on the bed and Harry stares at me worriedly.

"What happen to you?" The three peered at Harry and smirks.

"Are you Okay?" He sets his hand on my forehead and ran through my hair.

"I'm fine." I croaked.

He's so sweet.

Breck coughs and nudges Wendy. "Hey, don't worry about her, she's fine." Wendy raises her brows. "Yeah," Kara and Breck Replies.

I slightly laugh and held the ice cream with my sleeves as I took a spoonful of it.

"Be careful, eat a little. You're still unwell." Wendy rubs her forehead and sighs.

"I know." The sweet taste tingles down my throat as I took another bite.

Suddenly, my mom opens the door with a smile. "Priscilla, your boyfriend came." All of us cock a brow confused.

"Who's your boyfriend??" Harry turns to me with a squint.

"I-I swear, I don't know what my mom is talking about!" I squeaked.

Breck and Kara fold their arms as they set their iced tea on the nightstand, Wendy shifts and stood, storming downstairs.

The door closed and we peeked at the window.

It was Kevin and his friends inside his car. He stands outside, holding a cup of bubble tea.

"What are you-:" he stares at Wendy and waltz in.

The door opens wide and Kevin cocks a brow, glaring at Kara, Breck and Harry.

"What are they doing here?" He stares at me.

"Why are you here?" Kara scoffs.

"Visiting her, that's what." He growls.

"Then how'd you know I was sick?" I sighed.

"I have ways." Kevin smirks.

What a creep.

Harry stood infront of Kevin and squints. "What you got?" He scans the drink.

"Bubble tea, here peanut." Kevin snatched the cold ice cream away and hand soap me the tea. "I got it from the best tea shops."

"I don't take drinks from childish brats like you." Kara and Breck snorted and bursts into crazy laughter. Harry rolls his eyes and takes the tea away from me.

"I bought her ice cream from Häagen-Dazs and it's surely the best." He stuck his nose up pridefully and huffs.

"Who knows what he did to the drink." Harry ran through his hair.

Kevin grumbled and takes my dessert away. "Hey!"

"You can't do that!" Breck's eyes widens and he stood beside Harry.

Kevin clicks his tongue and scoffs. "Sorry, don't trust impurities like you guys." He smirks.

He has the mind of a child, why can't he just go??

The three gasped and glared him rudely. "Okay, Stop this nonsense." I sighed.

"You're challenging him aren't you?" Harry growls.

I nod and bite my lip. "I don't even care about it anyways." I cock a brow.

"Then I'm challenging him for you Priscilla." Harry stiffens his arms and glared at him.

"Aww, look at you, a noisy brat like you is gonna do for peanut!" Kevin pokes Harry's tip of the nose and laughs.

"Who you calling noisy brat?" Harry folds his arms and acts brave.

Kara whispers, "Times ticking and tea's spilling.. we're gonna go." Kara waves a quick goodbye and drags Harry and Breck downstairs. "Bye Mrs Lorrester!" Kara shouts. Kevin clicks his tongue and looks at me.

"What? Go," I shu him away and peeked at the window.

Wendy and Bryan glare at each other, face to face.

"Fool."

"Disgraceful impure."

"Scum."

"Worthless rodent."

"You dingus!"

They bicker as Peter stood with his innocent look. James looks at them and sighs, shaking his head.

Kevin then dragged Bryan and Kara pulled Wendy away.

"I'M NOT FINISHED YET!" They yelled in unison

They drove away and finally sighed heavily, holding both of my treats.

"I like being the sick one." I laughed.

My mom came in and looks confused. "What happened?" We then bursts into laughter as she sat next to me. "I don't know," I shrugged.

"Looks like you're feeling alright." She places her hand on my head.

"Really?" I let out a fake cough.

My mom cocks a brow sarcastic and shook her head, and snatched the ice cream away from me. "Hey!"

"Häagen-Daz, my favorite." She grins, taking a spoonful and walked away, closing the door.

......

All I had was the bubble tea. I stare at it longer than a minute and clicked my tongue.

"Why would he buy my a drink? He knows I don't like him." I flicked the straw and ran through my hair.

The clothes he bought for me was in the closet along with the perfumes. I walked to it and stared for a long time. "I only came for food, not for clothes." I cock a brow.

"Isn't it right Mr Lopkins?" I hugged my plushy bunny and pout.

"Yeah!" I mimicked a deep voice and shook the bunny lightly.

The sun sets in a satisfying way, my father comes in tiredly and plops on the living room, I sat at the far end scrolling through my phone. "How is Priscilla?" He asks my mom. She nods and smiled happily.

"She's all okay!" She sighs with relief and gave him a kiss.

"Please, do that somewhere." I cringe.

They laughed and wrapped their arms around me as I sunk in the middle.

They're killing me with hugs.

"You're going to school tomorrow, looks like you've missed a lot." My father checks the time.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Why at school? I don't feel so good." I press on my stomach and fake a cough.

"Not funny." They respond in unison.

I slumped in defeat and dragged myself upstairs. Walking into my room, I called Reagan.

The call waited for a minute until she answered.

"Hey Buddy!" She squeals.

"Hey." I croaked.

"So, how's school?" She says.

"I haven't went to school today," I sighed.

"But I have a interesting story to tell you." I grinned with a devilish laugh.

"Ooh! What's the tea?" Reagan squeaks.

I explained it as I hear her actually sipping tea. "Sorry, I'm drinking tea, literally." She sips it loudly. "So that actually happened? Your friend and the elite captain fought over treats for you?"

I replied, "Yeah, it's foolish though." I snicker.

"No, no! THats not! Excuse my voice crack." She clears her throat and whispers.

"Your friend likes you, I just know it." Reagan huffs.

I snort and snicker. "No he doesn't, he's a friend of mine." I squeaked, her convincing voice caught me off guard.

"Mhhhmmmmm???" She cocks  brow.

"I'm sure he doesn't." I said with a hiss. "Are you serious?" Reagan speaks like a child and laughs, I rolled my eyes and huffed. "No he doesn't, he just worries about me." I annoyingly said.

"Quit joking, I know you inside and out Priscilla!" Reagan shouts.

I held it farther from my ear and winced from her shout.

"Priscilla.." Reagan speaks in a squeaky tone.

"FINE, MAYBE HE DOES LIKE ME, HAPPY?" I shot back.

She then clicked her tongue as her sipping intensities. "Good." She replied.

My father then trotted upstairs and began knocking on my door. "Priscilla? I heard your shouting, you alright?"

"Oh shit, got to go. Promise me, let's talk next time yeah?" I whispered.

"Got that." Reagan chirps and turns off the call.

My father opens the door as I hid under my blankets. "I'm fine dad." I let out a fake groan and yawned.

"Must've been a dream huh?" He laughs awkwardly and scratches his neck.

I nod and he gave me a quick kiss, closing the doors with a click.

I then drifted off not knowing my sleep has gotten over me.

The morning light appears, birds chirping as shrilly shouts from children playing on puddles.

My alarm clock rung wildly as I stood up, with a squint, smacking the clock to the floor.

Quit interrupting my dreams for ONCE.

Relaxed, I went back to slumber and laid on my stomach.

RIINNNNNGGGGGGG!!

I jolt up breathing heavily with shock and frowned at the clock vibrating. I stood staring at the clock intensely, sighing and walked to the bathroom to freshen up.

Brushing my teeth, my phone buzzes with a notification.

9/27; Interview at 3:00 PM.

I shrugged and changed into my clothes, trotting downstairs and sat at the living room waiting for my parents.

My mom and father came with a rush and grabbed their coffees. "When am I going to get a car?" I sighed heavily. They sipped their cups, staring at me silently until my father replied, "Not now, be patient Priscilla." He sweetly smiles.

"It's almost October! My birthday is close.. and you're not getting me anything for sure, I just know." I slump.

My mom walks to me and sat with a soft plop. "Priscilla, until your birthday, I promise that we'll buy you a nice car." She wrapped me with her arms and gave a small kiss on the head.

"You sure?"

"Definitely." My mom checks her watch and gasped, clicking to the kitchen and snatched the car keys. "I got to go, Jack! PICK HER UP!" My mom shouts as she closes the door.

My father nods and looks at me with a smirk. "Let's go sweetheart." I stood up and followed him to the garage. "So, you're friends came yesterday? Your mom told me." We got in the car and he turns on the ignition, the garage door opening slowly until we drove off. "Did the handsome Kevin came?"

"Yeah, He's always following me around.. calling me peanut." I pout.

"Well, you're really short by the way, the neighbors were thinking you're  a fourth grader." My father cocks a brow.

"Dad!" I barked.

My father coughs a wheezing laugh and suddenly turns right.

"But, you're going to invite your friends to your party?" My father grins.

"Yeah, I'm turning seventeen." I tilt my head against the edge and stared at the view.

We then arrived at school. My father waving a goodbye and sped off.

Wendy smiles looking at me with her bright silver eyes.

"Feeling better?" I nod.

Harry sneaks behind me, and suddenly carried me up a smile and laughed. I shrieked and turned around with Harry's blue eyes squinting happily. He then put me down and snickered. "You should've seen the look on your face." He laughs.

I lightly punched him and Wendy coughs so suddenly with a smirk. " 'Ello Guys!" Breck was wearing a banana costume, Bowing with a silly grin. "What's that dumbo?" Harry tilts his head and rests on my shoulder.

"It's for my drama club!" He pouts.

"Since when did you-:"

"HUSH CHILD." He places his fingers on Harry's lips, pushing it lightly.

Wendy and I burst into laughter and sighed. "Since when did you take drama club?" I raise an eyebrow.

"I did an audition and I got accepted to it." Breck smiles as his strands of curly hair bounces lightly.

"I thought you had another class for third block?" Harry rubs his forehead, focused on him.

"Yeah, well, I switched my third block with drama club." He grins goofy and stares at me.

"So, the princess 'aight?"

"Yeah." I fiddle with my fingers together and ran through my hair.

Kevin walks by with his friends, and suddenly scans at us. Peter cocks a brow, James ignoring and Bryan snickering. They three cackled and the other students scattered.

Wendy squints at Bryan rudely same goes with him as well.

They then approach us with a snicker, "So, nice costume." Kevin mocks Breck and pokes the yellow peels of Breck's costume and he frowns. "Go away Kevin." He swatted his hands and stood tall. Literally, tall.

Peter stands quietly and fidgets little. "Stop the childishness Kevin, we have classes to go to."

Finally, someone who at least understands.

Harry boasts up and stood beside Breck. "Yeah! Go back to your classes ya dingy idiot." James cocks a brow, tapping Kevin's shoulder.

"Ya know, Peter might be right, let's just go before we start a commotion." Kevin stares at me seriously and at the others.

"Okay then," He clicks his tongue, walking away with his group and then tilts his head back. "On the second thought." They stopped and Kevin storms to me, grabbing me by the wrist and dragged along with his friends.

"What are you doing!?" Wendy shouts.

"Let me go you fool!" I struggle crazily, when the students staring at me weirdly and I huffed angrily at him.

"Where you taking me to?" I growled.

James smirks and Bryan sighs heavily. "You'll see."

Walking outside to the field as we trotted under the humid air drifting with a whistle. "You mean the practice field?"

"Bingo." Peter ran through his hair and smiles.

We then entered the meeting room and the three left with a wave, except Kevin.

"Wha-:"

"Peanut, listen to me." He turned serious and leans at me.

"If you don't wanna do the challenge, I'm gonna leave you alone.. BUT! Under one condition."

I scoffed. "What is it then?"

He then bites his lips seriously and sighs. "Let's go out."

Well then.
