This is going to be the first time writing Kevin's point of view hope you guys like his POV!
Kevin
"Let's go out." I sighed deeply.
Peanut snickering, she stood up and laughed. "It's not gonna happen.. go find someone like your childish attitude, then you'll be happier." She huffs angrily.
It's the stupid bet Peter and Bryan forced me to do it.. I begged James to help me but his dumbass self is too harsh.
Earlier.....
I slammed the door as they jolt up seriously. Peter bobbed his curly hair foreword and bites his lips nervously.
"I bought the goddamn drink for her earlier to feel well.. why did she denied it??" I growled.
James scoffs, "She hates you, that's what." I furiously shifted to James and sat the chair with a thud.
"I should prank her! For being such a peanut." I clasped my hands and cocked a brow. The three looked at each other confusedly and back at me. "That's stupid, that doesn't make sense." James taps his fingers on the table ever so satisfyingly.
Peter and Bryan stared at each other in union and sighed deeply.
I then stood up, pacing back and forth and groaned loudly of defeat. "She'll never understand me.." I smacked my forehead and covered my face,
"What about the challenge?" Peter says it jokingly,
"Fuck that! I just don't get it, her impure new friends came for her and she still wanted me out, even though I took her to the mall when I was bored, or driving her after school to her goddamn house!!" I kicked the ball furiously at the wall and made a huge ..bang!
James sighed and continued reading his book.
"He really changed when Priscilla first came, he's been talking about her too much! I can't take it anymore." Peter whispers at Bryan.
"I bet she hates us.." Peter widens his eyes seriously.
Bryan gave him a deadpanned glare. "Ya think?"
He then taps his chin and gasped of an idea, looking at Peter evilly. The two grinned with the most toothiest of all. Peter staring at me, he wraps his arms around my shoulders and squints.
"How about we do a little game of poker..if you lose, you have to forget the challenge and go out with her.. you know she doesn't want to do it. So, if I were you, stop the challenge." Bryan nudges Peter as he nods rapidly.
"What about the mascot thingy?" I cock a brow.
"Don't worry, we'll find one." Peter and Bryan grins.
"Will James join?" I asked.
The two nod quickly and we stared at James.
James cocks a brow, "I'm not doing it, don't even ask." James continues reading as he tilts his page, glancing at the three of us. "Aw, come on James! You'll be the monitor like last time." Peter's puppy eyes grew but his pleading didn't work on him.
James' eyes were as sharp and thin as a knife, inhales with a sniff and exhales. He stood up and slammed his book furiously and glared at me. "I'm out,"
"Aw! Come on James! Okay, what about I'll be the monitor and you're playing against Bryan and Kevin." Peter chirps.
Without James, I'm so gonna lose.
"I told you, I'm not joining such a silly game with you guys." James storms out of the room and shuts the door with a crack!
Well, there goes my luckiest friend.. it's like when I'm playing with James, I always win but without him.. he's like without fuel and what I mean is karma.
Peter began to rule out the main stuff of the game and Bryan smirks weirdly, gazing at his card and to me. "Let the game begin."
Present...
Peanut sighs and rubs her chin, yet I stood there like a lifeless mannequin, waiting for her answer. "Not dating you say? As in, a normal dinner.. right?" She glares at me and I nodded.
"Are you sure?? Only forgetting the challenge??" She squints.
I again nodded.
"After my interview today, at seven on the dot." She scans at me from head to toe.
Why would I be interested in her? She's a pig eating machine.
"If, and I say IF, anyone finds out, you're dead meat." She squints and folds her arms. "Only because the stupid challenge, that's it." Peanut grabs her materials and with a stomp, she sighs annoyingly turning her head slightly at me.
"Remember? We have class." I then grabbed my bag and we closed the door with a click, Peter and Bryan sneaking behind us, they tap on my shoulder which made me jolt. I turned to them and they gave a thumbs up, grinning like cats.
"So???" Peter says in a childish voice. I then rolled my eyes and smacked my forehead.
"What do you think ya buffoon?" I clicked my tongue.
"So it's a deal?" Bryan asks.
I nod lightly and felt my insides churning with anger and yanked Peter and Bryan. "Were you guys thinking I was going on a date with her?" I point at peanut as she's trots to the school's door.
"Well.. um... you see.. it's." I clicked my tongue looking at Peter's speechless mumbling.
I raised my hands slightly and backed up. "Okay, if that's what you guys were thinking.." I cock a brow at them.
We then parted ways and walked to algebra, standing at the door. Everyone glances at me from the square shaped window and went back to their works. Mr Calvin opens the door with a creaky squeak. Silence was in the air as I sat at my spot, staring at the window. "So we're on page fifteen at the first topic, one to thirty questions are right here." His Adam's apple bobbling up and down as he stares at me and to the book.
I began with my work and felt everyone's eyes staring at me and back to peanut.
Geez! What's their problem?
I swear one more glare, I'm so done.
One glance from Jade and I furiously stood up, slamming my hands on the table. The teacher and everyone turned around as well as peanut.
I awkwardly stood like a statue, glaring at Jade rudely and coughed with a shout. "You Okay there Mr Davidson?" Mr Calvin gave me a concern glare, walking around the students and plopped on his seat.
Umm no? Does it look like I'm OKAY???
"I-I.. Yeah, I'm fine.. just need to use the- restroom..." I tap my fingers on the book uncontrollably and quckly storm out of the classroom. Breathing heavily, I rushed to the restroom and locked myself in a stall, standing there like a mannequin.
The whispers, the rumors... what's going on???
I felt a buzz from my pocket and fumbled my hands inside and took out my phone scrolling down the notifications.
☕️ Posted a tweet mentioning you; I've heard someone in our grade is dating one of the elite soccer team... is one of them @KevinDavidson??
@Alice💦 replied to ☕️; wait... you mean him? He never dates, everyone must know that. Who would want to go out with him? Not anyone... he's good looking and all but scary. No way José 😒
@Insanelysam retweets from 40 others of ☕️.
I gulped thickly from the bile and scorned with anger.
......
I bust the door wide and stormed away to the classroom when the bell suddenly rung, students pouring from each classroom, they glared at me and shift away from me. They walk in two narrow lines as I gazed at the crowd. I grabbed my stuff and saw Peter and Bryan talking as James followed them.
"Hey," I approached them and bite my lower lip, feeling zoned out.
"What's wrong?" Peter chirps. James staring at me seriously and Bryan tilts his head sideways slightly and raises his eyebrows. "N-nothing.." I squint, clenching my jaw.
The two shrugged and we then walked to practice and went to the locker room with a bang amidst from the door. The whole soccer team stared at me and a few cleared their throats. "Is the leader fine?" One asked peter.
Peter taps my shoulder and I jerked away from him, changing my outfit to my sportswear.
"You Fine Kev?" I then stared at him and stayed silent, storming out of the locker room and into the field.
Bryan kicks the ball with such force as it hits the goal, stopped and looked at me as I sat at a chair, staring at the team practicing.
"Kevin??" The team coach Mr Noel called my name answered he squints with a concern look.
"You okay there??"
I nod and stood up, walking to the middle of the field and snatched the ball from the coach. "Well then." He whistles awkwardly and walks away, holding the whistle and began with a screech.
The ball passes to me, I sprint and passed it to James, dodging it around the cones and finally hit to the goal.
"Good good! Let's take a break." We walked away from the field and into the meeting room, taking our beverages and energy bars. "What's going on with you?? After the poker game, you're acting all weird." Bryan and Peter sat together, drinking their water and glaring at me.
I then snapped, holding my drink furiously and gulped. "WHO POSTED A RUMOR ABOUT THE 'DATING' THING?" I growled and glared at Peter and Bryan, James gave an overwhelmed look at us and stayed quiet. "I'm not in this shit anyways." He was about to open the door until I forcefully closed it staring at James. "Sit. Down."
He then scuffle his way back and sat. Bryan and Peter looking at each other and suddenly burst into laughter. "We haven't posted anything about that! Look at this." Bryan takes out his phone, showing my his recently tweet and scoffed, same as Peter.
Glancing at James, he sighs and takes out his phone, showing me his recent posts and nothing showed, only his tweets about yesterday.
"Okay," I sighed.
"Someone is spying on us," I shut the windows with the blinds and stared at the clear view of outside.
"You sure there?" James rolls his eyes.
"Yeah, I'm definitely sure.." I locked the doors around us and checked the closet.
"It was from this tweet.." I placed my phone on the table and Bryan snatches it and the three look at the tweet.
"Yeah... it's a huge thread... many people posting this.." Peter drumming his fingers on the table, making it a rhythmic beat. "Not only from that person... but many.. it's like it's spreading from the person who caused it. Not from this tea cup emoji but many People.." I squint.
"What if Priscilla started this?" James asked.
"Why would She? She'd swore of not telling anyone." My voice raised louder and clearly.
"I know her." The three cocked a brow and clicked their tongues.
"Wow, only for two weeks and you're defending her.." Peter sings with a high note awkwardly and snicker.
"I'm not defending her, I know she hates me as much as her life depends on it." I said.
Peter and Bryan stared at each other, sipping their water and place it down. "She doesn't hate her-:"
"You get what I'm saying right??" I took out my sandwich from my lunch bag and bit into the flavoring combo. "No." Peter deadpanned me a confused look.
James looks at me with a puzzling stare and shook his head.
"It's not lunch yet, you know that."
"I know, I don't care whether if it's lunch or not, let me eat in peace." I snapped.
James exhales seriously and looked at Bryan whispering to Peter as they laughed through their phones. "Look at this.."
"Man, do I love memes." Peter sighs.
Bryan cackles loudly and shows it to Peter, cackling together with a snicker.
"We'll get to the bottom of this, don't worry too much Kevin, enjoy your dinner with her and we'll find out as the three musketeers! Right guys?" Peter nudges the two and they nodded.
"Good. Wait...enjoying?? Who do you think I am?" I growled.
Peter bursts into laughter and start a chain reaction to Bryan. James sighs and lightly snickers drinking his water.
......
School ended today, everyone poured from each direction and saw peanut along with her dirty blonde friend, parting ways with a happy goodbye.
Peanut's Dad was waiting and saw her with a happy grin. She then got in and they drove away with a screech.
Walking to my car, I went inside and the car roared to life as I drove away. The heat immensely thick, the streetlights turn to a stop and halt with a thump.
I then reached to my home and turned off the car, walking out as I lock it.
I went inside and placed my bag at the table, my mother wearing her business clothes and checking the time. She looks at me and smiled brightly. "So, how was school today?" My mother asks.
Glaring at her, I shrugged. "Fine." I stated a small answer, storming to my room.
She then stayed silent and spoke awkwardly, "O-Okay then.."
my younger sister Heidi knocks on my door and opens with a kick. "Hey, I doing a school project for history, can you help me?" She asks as she blows her gum and chews.
"Later." I laid on my bed, scrolling through my phone. "I mean right now." Heidi's green eyes glowed fiercely and taps her fingers against the door.
"I told you later," I scoffed.
"Fine." She fuss angrily and slammed the door with a crack.
Checking the time, it's not even seven yet. I started to go outside walking around the neighborhood until I hear a child shouting.
"Hey! Get away from me!!"
I followed the voice until I see a bunch of thirteen-year old kids bothering the younger kid. "Won't you give us the stuff ya brat?!"
I sighed heavily, walking towards the kids and broke them apart from the younger child.
"Hey!" One of them shouted.
"Leave him alone or else." I growled at them and the othersflinched.
"He has a lot of Pokémon cards! Give it to us! The short one with a hat pushed the kid.
I again got hold of them and stared at the thirteen-year olds, "I'm warning you, if you do, you'll see the consequences." I spoke clearly.
They took a step back, with a shudder and grumbled. "Come on guys." They walked away with a scuff from the gravel ground.
The younger child gave me a hug and smiled, looking up at me. "Thanks!" He lightly laughed. I smiled a bit at the child and pat his head.
"No problem," the little kid pouts and taps on his chin. "Wanna play Pokémon card with me?" He asked with his high pitched voice.
I checked the time, almost seven. Staring at the child's pouting face, I sighed and leaned lower to him. "How about tomorrow, huh? I'm busy quite lately." I said sweetly.
"Sure! My house is down there, the blue one! You promise?" He stuck out his pinky finger and stares at me with his innocent face.
"Promise," we lock our pinkies and smiled, waving each other a goodbye and parted our ways. Reaching my home, I went inside and hear the clattering of diner plates when my family sat with their hands clasped together.
"God, the one and only, help us to get through our struggles and our future as well." My mother praises an amen and began to eat, Heidi and my father looks around the place and stared at each other. Heidi lightly frowns and sips her drink.
"Wheres Kevin?" Heidi asks and takes a bite of the food.
I walk in and sat with a plop, not eating the dinner. Staring at my parents, I sighed and ran through my hair. "What's wrong??" My mother asks.
"Nothing." The time was seven on the dot, I stood up and wore my shoes as they glare at me suspiciously.
"Then, where are you going??" My father chews his food as he swallows, sipping his wine.
"To my friends." I shot back.
"At this time? What about my project??" Heidi scoffs. I rolled my eyes and huffed.
"When's it due?" I cock a brow.
"Two days from now." She squints.
I shrugged, tying my laces and left. The sunset glowing with a pinkish hue, I began driving to the streets. The lights blinking along with the other cars, I lower down the window and felt the air rushing through my hair.
I finally arrived at peanut's house as she waits at the porch scrolling through her phone, she then notices me and comes in with a thud.
I hold the wheel tightly, staring at her. She then snaps. "Aren't you gonna drive?" She huffs.
"I am." I started the engine and began driving. I remembered we haven't planned out the place we're going.
"So, which place you wanna go?" I croaked.
"Anywhere.." she stared at me.
"Okay.." I awkwardly cleared my throat as we stopped at the lights. Waiting for a few minutes until it turned green.
The engine roared as I sped, seeing her holding the seatbelt tightly and the edge of her seat. She screams.
I grinned at her and peanut shouts at me seriously. "STOP SPEEDING! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL US!!" She covers herself and curled to a ball, glaring at me with dark bluebell eyes. "What's wrong?" I lightly laughed.
"That's it, I'm going." She tried to open the car door and I suddenly locked it. Peanut struggles with the flip and surrendered.
I again kicked the gas pedal as we go faster, peanut praying to lord under her breath and sweating casually. I smirked at her and she immediately got the wheel and stops the car with a screech, our upper bodies flinched and stared at each other.
She growls at me and I fold my arms, laughing crazily. "That was a ride huh?" I cock a brow.
Peanut then shoves my face against the wheel as the horn blaring loudly.
"MH-STAWPH." I muffled.
She then smacks my back and sat with a huge huff, flipping her hair sideways and grinning like a cat.
"That's what you get ya bumbling fool." She grumbled.
"I just wanna have fun, Geez.. you're such a bore." I rolled my eyes and began driving to the mall, our nearest location.
Silence.
"So, how was your interview?" I asked with a squeak.
"Good, good. I'm starting this weekend." She suspiciously squints at me.
"Since when do you care about that?" She tilts her head.
We got out of the car and fiddled my fingers together, peering down at her. "Just askin'." I mumbled.
Thank God the mall was rural, only a few shopping, eating.
I saw the elevator and we stood by it, pressing the button. We waited for a long time, we then sighed in unison and finally, the door slit open.
We walked in and pressed the fourth floor as we stood in silence. Suddenly, BOOM! CREEEEAAAKK!!
The elevator thuds and lightly shakes, peanut stood at the corner, holding against the bars and collapsed on the floor.
It suddenly stops, I cursed under my breath, pressings the buttons as the screen went immediately black.
The lights flickering, peanut then sweats with a worryingly huff. She panics.
"W-what's happening?-I-are we stuck??" She takes out her phone and held it high on her toes, checking for the signal.
Nothing..
I stood in silence, felt the air thick around me as she ran through her hair.
"I-I'm sure it's going to work, be patient." I shot back.
"PATIENT?? EXCUSE ME?? WE'RE STUCK IN THIS CURSED FUCKING ELEVATOR BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID NONSENSE!!" She points at me and ruffled her shirt for the panicking sweat.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be fine. Trust me." I spoke calmly.
She then scoffs and fold her arms. "Trust you?? Why would I?" I clenched my jaw, pressing the button over and over again, the lights then shut black. Nothing to see except our phone lights.
No signal, not even a buzz from it. Peanut collapsed and insanely laughs as I glared at her seriously. "Why you're laughing? We're in trouble."
"I-I shouldn't came with you, it was all my fault, everything.." She covered her face and rubs it in small circles.
I rolled my eyes and sat at the farther end, ruffling my hair as I turned off my phone. It wasn't worth calling anyone since there's no signal.
"How?" I asked.
"Just, everything.." her tears glistened under the dark and lightly laughs with guilt.
"The dinner was stupid anyways.." I scoffed.
"The bet..."
Peanut then cocks a brow at me and squints. "What?"
I then lightly smiled. Staring at her glistening eyes.
"Bryan and Peter Really don't want you to go against me, so, they told me to go out with you for forgetting the challenge." I clenched my jaw.
"Really?" She squeaks.
I nod slightly and yawned. Staring at her and felt my eyes getting heavy. I checked the time, almost nine.
Hell, what am I going to do??
My parents would be worried sick about me.
Peanut then yawned with a high pitched voice and smacked her mouth from the dehydration, staring at me.
Suddenly, the elevator made a huge THUMP! She then jolts up and ran close to me, felt her hands wrapped around my arm.
"Sorry," She then notices and shifts slightly away from me.
"It's fine." I shrugged.
The elevator then lightly creaks and she immediately stood up.
As she scoots closer to me, she lays her head on my shoulder and stretched her arms with a crack.
"If you move, you're dead meat." She yawns heavily and felt her staggered afraid breathing on my neck.
I sat there in silence, her drooling covers my side of the shirt and shuddered from the cold slobber. She then wipes and collapsed on my lap, sleeping like a bear hibernating.
It's going to be a long night...
