At St. James Infirmary, Ophelia sat at the bar with Vincent, drinking a glass of bourbon. She turned her head to see Davina arriving there Kol.
When Kol turned his head to look at the two of them, Ophelia figured that Davina had told her boyfriend why they were there. Ophelia had a sarcastic smile on her face as she lifted up her glass in a form of a greeting.
Several moments later, Kol sat across from Vincent and Ophelia at a table in the bar owned by Ophelia. The female tribrid poured two glasses of scotch before pushing one toward Kol.
Davina was sitting between them with her own drink and Vincent had one as well, "Try to remember. Your spirit was trapped with the Ancestors," Vincent encouraged Kol, who quickly picked up his glass of scotch and took a sip, "Did they say anything?"
"Yeah, well, it's hard to recall what anyone is saying when there's a boot in your face," Kol replied with an attitude.
"Imagine when Davina brought you back," Vincent continued on, Davina sharing a glance with Ophelia, "Did you hear voices? Spells? Chants? I don't know, a threat?"
"There wasn't any talk, all right? They hate me because I'm a Mikaelson," Kol responded with an attitude before gesturing toward Ophelia, "My family became their greatest enemy the second my brother stole their greatest weapon three hundred years ago and convinced her to turn against her own people."
Davina sighed in frustration, clearly growing a bit annoyed, "What's the point of these questions?" She complained.
Vincent's expression became grim, which made both Davina and Kol become even more suspicious while Ophelia remained content, "The Ancestors made a deal with Lucien," She finally spoke up, causing Kol and Davina to turn to look at her, "If you haven't noticed already, that's considered an act of war. And now, they're coming after you, Kol."
Kol sighed in annoyance and laced his fingers together before leaning his chin against them, "If we knew why, then maybe I could convince them that there's a better way," Vincent added in and even Ophelia turned to look at him in disbelief, "Maybe I could talk some sense into 'em."
"Talk some sense into them," Ophelia muttered under her breath as took a sip of her scotch, "You're funny."
Kol scoffed when hearing Vincent's words, "You make them sound like they're a committee of a sort," He remarked, "Reasonable people."
"The dead were once the living. All the living really want to do is avoid trouble and protect their own," Vincent reminded Kol, who sighed, knowing that Vincent was at least right on that point.
The male witch looked over at Davina, who was silent and looked overwhelmed before he chuckled and continued, "I remember coming to Music Days when I was a kid. I-I remember all the covens gathering together. And no matter what your beef was with somebody else, well that one day, it was all good. And you could feel the presence of all those that came before. You could feel 'em watching. Peaceful."
Ophelia and Davina smiled, both of them clearly having similar memories of the festival, "Now, every since vampires took over this city, those same spirits have been restless," Vincent continued on as he rolled his eyes at the mention of the vampires, "And the covens will never know peace with the Mikaelsons living here. Now, my guess is the Ancestors see Lucien as a weapon. Use him on vampires, right? Use him on the family that begot them. And, if we're gonna stop that, somebody's gotta convince the Ancestors there's a better way."
Vincent stood to his feet as if he was about to leave, but Kol rose to his feet and stared him in the eyes, clearly suspicious of his motives, "Why would you ever help me?" Kol asked him before turning to glance at Ophelia, "I get her, but not you."
"This isn't about you," Vincent responded, raising his hands in a non-threatening way and shrugged, "It's about Davina and Ophelia. I figure I owe them that much."
The two women smiled at Vincent's word before they watched Vincent walk out of the club.

Hearing a panicked knocking coming from downstairs, Ophelia rushed down the stairs and to the front door to find Cami standing there, looking terrified.
"What's wrong?" Ophelia asked worriedly as Hayley joined her.
"It's Klaus," Cami informed Hayley and Ophelia frantically, "Lucien has him."
Hayley turned to shout for Freya and Elijah, who were finally approaching them as they spoke, "Freya!" She called out loudly, "Invite her in!"
Freya, who looked overwhelmed by the news, quickly spoke up, "Yeah, come in, you're invited."
Cami looked nervous as she took a step forward. Once she crossed the threshold with no problems, she rushed toward the ground. Hayley took a look outside to make sure no one else was coming before she and Ophelia followed the group into the courtyard, "Tell us what happened." Elijah demanded.
"Lucien ambushed him," Cami quickly informed them, glancing around at the group, "He knocked him around like it was nothing."
"Did he bite him?" Hayley asked Cami, sharing a worried glance with Ophelia.
Cami turned to Hayley and shook her head, "No. I think he wanted him alive. I followed them. Lucien took Klaus back to the penthouse."
Just then, Elijah's phone buzzed, and the male original immediately scowled when he saw that it was a text from Lucien, "Lucien is demanding my presence at the Whiskey Cask...Alone and immediately. He says if I delay, Niklaus will die."
The group looked anxious and overwhelmed as Elijah turned and walked toward the door.
Once Elijah had left, Cami and Hayley turned to Ophelia, who was in deep thought as she tried to figure out what to do, "What?" She asked the two women, only to realize that they were waiting for Ophelia to tell them what to do, "It might be a long shot, but I have an idea. I just need to two of you to keep whoever's there distracted while I finish the job."
The two women raised a brow at Ophelia, but decided to obey her orders, not wanting to question her.
_______
Once picking up the scryinge she knew she needed to stop Aurora, Ophelia walked into St. James to check up on Davina and Kol to find Kol away from Davina, his hunger clearly consuming him.
It was clear he was trying his best to keep himself in check as he looked at Davina fearfully, but his vampire face and fangs started out anyway. Trying to stop himself, Kol threw himself at a nearby table and leaned over it, and Davina walked over to comfort him.
Looking very worried, Davina thrust her hand forward and used her magic to shake the glasses on the nearby bar, which only made her and Kol more anxious, realizing that the spell stopping people from using magic in the bar had stopped working.
"You said that magic doesn't work in here," Kol told Davina fearfully.
Davina looked down at Kol with a fearful look, "The Ancestors are breaking through the spell. We don't have much time." She informed her boyfriend quickly.
Kol groaned, but before he could react any further, Ophelia vamp-sped behind him and snapped his neck.
Shocked, Davina turned to Ophelia with wide eyes as Marcel walked over to join them, clearly apart of Ophelia's plan, "Sorry to interrupt date night." Marcel told her jokingly as Ophelia caught Kol in her arms before he could drop to the ground.
"What are you guys doing?" Davina asked the duo in confusion.
"We're preventing a bloodbath in the middle of my city," She paused, noticing how Marcel rolled his eyes at the fact that she had only called it her city and not theirs, "We're also freeing you up to help Vincent. He's in trouble at the cemetery. Go. Marcel and I will clear this place out before I have to leave to go through with another one of my plans."
Davina gave Ophelia a concerned look before she finally nodded her head in response and rushed out of the bar, wanting to help Vincent before it was too late.
____
Kol woke up from his snapped-neck-nap and found himself slumped over the table. He looked around at the now-empty club as the effects of the Ancestors' hex began to kick in.
Feeling it happen, Kol started to pant frantically. Before he could react further, Marcel tossed the male original a blood bag onto the table and gave him an unimpressed look, "That should help. I suggest you drink up before you do something you'll regret." Marcel insisted and Kol wasted no time drinking the contents of the bag as quickly as he could, which caused Ophelia to give him a concerned look, knowing that in the end, his hex was not going to end well at all.
Kol, who was becoming more aggressive by the moment, had blood smeared on his face as he finished yet another blood bag Marcel had given him added the empty plastic to a pile on the bar, "Thanks for the appetizer, mate," He told Marcel in a sarcastic tone, "Now I best be on my way."
Without hesitation, Ophelia moved to block Kol's path to the door when he tried to leave, "Oh, we can't let you do that." She argued in a stern tone, shaking her head in disapproval.
"Our family is under attack, Ophelia!" Kol shouted at Ophelia angrily, "Davina might be in trouble."
"You don't think I know that?" Ophelia snapped at him with an attitude, "Don't you think I wouldn't be here if it wasn't necessary? I am literally stuck here with you when I should be helping Cami and Hayley before it's too late. So if I'm staying, so are you. I'm also not letting you anywhere near Davina right now, all right? Not while you're like this."
Angered by Ophelia's demands, Kol vamp-sped over to Ophelia and grabbed her in a choke-hold, pinning her backward against the bar.
Ophelia wrapped her fingers around Kol's wrist as she tried to pull him off, but found herself unable to. When she turned her head to see that Marcel was about to attack Kol to save her, Ophelia quickly spoke up, "Marcel, don't you dare," She warned him in a stern tone, "I can handle this. Just stay where you are before he tries to kill you."
Even though he was hesitant, Marcel remained where he was. He knew if anyone was going to be able to reason with Kol, it would be Ophelia.
Ophelia turned to Kol, beginning to reason with Kol as she struggled to speak with the tight grip he had on her neck, "Listen to me, Kol!" She pleaded with him, "I know you, alright? And this isn't you. Tell me you can't feel that."
Kol growled menacingly at Ophelia, placing his other hand around her throat, which caused Ophelia to groan in pain as it became even harder to speak and breathe, "The Ancestors are doing this to you, okay? And they're not gonna stop, Kol. You have to get out of this city, somewhere where they can never reach you. The longer you stay, the more dangerous you are to everyone-- including Davina. And I know you don't want to hurt her."
Once more, Kol growled at Ophelia, so loud that it almost sounded like roar as he tightened his grip on her.
As Davina finished the spell with Vincent, Ophelia could practically feel the hex leaving Kol's body.
As it happened, Kol instantly let go of Ophelia's neck and backed far away from her, clearly feeling guilty for what he had done.
Ophelia stared at Kol closely, panting for breath as she rubbed her neck with her hand.
Kol looked absolutely horrified and devastated about what he just tried to do to the girl who was the closest thing he ever had to a friend in the thousand years he had been alive, "Ophelia, you have to believe me," He tried to plead with Ophelia, "I would never, never hurt Davina."
Ophelia sighed and looked at him sadly. Marcel walked over to stand beside Ophelia, clearly impressed by his change in attitude since he fell in love with Davina while Ophelia already saw it coming, "If that's true, then do the right thing," He spoke up, "Go. And don't come back."
Kol turned to Ophelia for guidance, clearly hoping that she would give him a different option. Ophelia continued to stare at him, looking almost fearful, which saddened Kol. He hadn't seen her look so scared of him since 1821 when he tried to feed Marcel and her his blood, which led to himself being daggered for nearly a century.
"Kol, I really think you should go," She tried to convince him, finally speaking up, "For Davina's sake. At least until we find a solution."
Kol looked for a saddened for a moment before nodding his head, vamp-speeding away before Ophelia could tell him goodbye.
_
Meanwhile, Ophelia and Marcel were sitting at the bar, looking sullen and unhappy as he sipped a glass of scotch.
Just then, Davina walked into the bar, looking around confused, "Where's Kol? Is he okay?" She asked the duo concerned.
Marcel sighed, he and Ophelia turning to face Davina, "He's gone, D." He informed his adoptive daughter quietly.
"What? Why?" Davina asked, her eyes wide in concern, "I-I stopped Van's spell. It's safe for him here now."
"It's not a permanent solution, but I know you'll find one. You always do," Ophelia informed Davina, finally speaking up, "But, until then, Kol had to leave to keep you safe."
"No--" Davina began to say, looking devasted.
Seeing Davina break down into tears, Ophelia quickly stood up and walked over to Davina, tightly hugging her, "Listen, I have known the guy for almost two centuries, and this is the first time that he has ever done the right thing." Marcel suddenly spoke up, which caused Ophelia to give him an annoyed look.
Hearing his words, Davina began to cry even harder as Ophelia comfortingly stroked her hair, "Shh. It's okay. It's okay," She whispered to her daughter soothingly, "I know."
___
At Lucien's Penthouse, Cami was still bleeding from the eyes and nose as Aurora shoved her through the apartment she hadn't been invited into. So busy threatening Klaus and trying to kill Cami, Aurora didn't even realize that Ophelia was behind her, waiting for the right time to attack.
"Ophelia, now!" Hayley suddenly shouted out as she finally recovered from her broken neck.
Klaus looked up at Ophelia in shock, clearly not knowing she was there because she had been hidden.
Ophelia grabbed Aurora in a headlock and before the redhead vampire could react, Ophelia injected her in the neck with the syringe, causing Aurora to gasp in pain.
Klaus looked both shocked and impressed by the trio's plan as Cami breathed a sigh of relief and fell backward, clearly exhausted from the pain she had endured.
"Goodnight, sweetheart," Ophelia sarcastically told Aurora as she let go of her, allowing the female vampire to drop to the ground.
Klaus sighed in relief as he finally allowed himself to sit down on the ground as he gave Ophelia a thankful look smiling at her adoringly.
"Could you have taken any longer?" Cami complained, causing Ophelia to look away from Klaus and down at Cami, who was still sitting on the ground.
"Sorry, I was too busy trying not to be killed by Kol," Ophelia responded in a sarcastic tone, only to notice the concerned looks Hayley and Klaus were giving her, "It's a long story."
--
Elijah, Freya, and Klaus were talking amongst each other about what had happened that dat when Ophelia and Hayley walked into the room to join them, "Aurora's still out cold. What are the chances of keeping her that way?" Hayley asked curiously.
"Hopefully, forever," Ophelia muttered under her breath.
"Oh, my spell will keep her down long enough to use the serum in her blood to figure out a way to kill both her and Lucien," Freya assured the group causing Ophelia to sigh in relief.
"I must say, I'm rather looking forward to it," Klaus remarked, looking delighted by the news.
"You're welcome," Freya responded as she smiled at her younger brother before leaving the room with Ophelia, causing Klaus to turn to address Hayley.
"I suppose I ought to be thanking you as well since I've already thanked Camille," Klaus commented.
Hayley smiled at Klaus, "You can thank me in diaper duty," She told him as they both chuckled before Hayley's tone became more serious, "Although, while you're on the grateful-train, you should probably hit up Ophelia."
Klaus gave Ophelia a sad look, "I believe Ophelia prefers I leave her alone," He pointed out, "She's been avoiding me ever since we returned our little road trip. We had a bit of a heart to heart and I believe she prefers to act as though it never happened."
Hayley gave Klaus a significant look, "Oh please, Klaus. You should've seen how worried she was when you got taken. Ophelia may have come at the last minute, but she saved all of us. I mean, she made the entire plan up on her own and swooped in to save you even when she had problems of her own to deal with involving Davina," She paused, letting out a sigh, "She may think putting distance between the two of you is the right thing to do, but I don't think so. You need to tell her how you feel, not just mentions things about the past. Talk about the future."
Klaus avoided eye contact with Hayley, looking away uncomfortably when realizing that she, of all people, were giving him advice. With that, Hayley walked off, leaving Klaus to think about what she had said.
