After the revelation about Lucien's company, Klaus, Ophelia, and Hayley wasted no time in investigating.
The following day, the group of three stopped at a diner in the Appalachians, where Klaus was quietly talking on the phone with Elijah, "If you find him, don't hesitate." He demanded before hanging up the phone just as Hayley and Ophelia approached him.
"Hope's down for the count. She fell asleep as soon as Mary started the car," Hayley explained to Klaus, "I doubt she'll miss the three of us over the next few days."
Ophelia smiled slightly, looking down at a piece of paper ripped out of a small notebook, which had a list of addresses she had written herself on it, "So..." She trailed off, glancing between Hayley and Klaus, "Which of these Kingmaker offices should we hit up first? There's ten of them."
Klaus stared at her worriedly, and after a moment, Ophelia noticed the look on his face and raised a brow at him, "What? What's wrong?"
"Lucien has revealed his true nature. He's taken Freya," Klaus informed the two women, whose eyes widened in shock, "And now, it seems her rescue depends on Elijah working with my ever-reliable brother Finn."
"Oh..." Ophelia trailed off, letting out a sigh in defeat as she looked over at Hayley instead of Klaus, "And I'm guessing you want to go back to New Orleans to head up the hunt?"
Klaus hesitated for a moment, clearly torn between their two different mission. Even though Ophelia was disappointed, she nodded in agreement, "You should go," She suggested, "Hayley and I are sticking with Kingmaker, though. Lucien's working very hard to cover up these wolf kidnappings, and I want to know why. So does Hayley. And there's no way we're giving up now."
Ophelia reached for the list and the keys before turning to leave, "Let's go, Hayley," She insisted and Klaus, who noticed that Ophelia was clearly hoping they could stick together, grabbed her by the wrist and stopped her.
Ophelia slowly turned to face Klaus, looking him directly in the eye as Klaus let out a large sigh, "No. The wolves, Freya's abduction...it can't all be a coincidence. We'll let my brothers pursue the obvious path," Klaus smiled weakly at her, and Ophelia immediately looked surprised by his reaction, quickly sharing a glance with Hayley, "You and I... will pursue this one. No doubt all roads..." He trailed off, tapping his finger on the third address on the list, 122283 Forest Road, "...Lead to the same treacherous bastard."
Ophelia smiled as she turned to Klaus, "Let's do this," She responded, causing Klaus to smile back at her.

Later on, Klaus, Ophelia, and Hayley had just gotten out of Klaus' car in the parking lot and were walking toward the office, "Does he just build these from a kit or something?" Hayley asked Klaus incredulously, "It's the exact same for the last five offices. Same windows, same plants..."
"And inside, same generic abstract art, same compellable receptionist..." Klaus trailed off, continuing for Ophelia.
Ophelia sighed, turning to Klaus, "Look, are you sure you wouldn't be better off with your brothers, Klaus, you know, to save Freya and all?" She asked Klaus concerned, "Hayley and I can do the leg-work."
Klaus smiled at Ophelia, "And split up the team now? Just when I'm discovering Hayley's carpool karaoke skills?" He questioned in a sarcastic tone, "I think not!"
Hearing his remark, Hayley immediately began to laugh and soon after, Klaus and Ophelia did as well. Klaus smiled at Ophelia's reaction before continuing on, "No, Lucien is playing a game, here. Each unassuming little office building we search, the more sure I am of it. We keep going. Together." He paused and Ophelia smiled at him as he walked toward the building, Ophelia and Hayley following soon after, "Even if we have to scour one hundred of these poxy places."
With that, the trio of hybrids rushed into the office, ready to fight if necessary.
__
Several moments later, Hayley, Ophelia, and Klaus had just walked into the reception area of the office. Klaus closed the door behind them before they approached the reception desk.
The receptionist finished her call and hung up as she looked at them expectantly, "Ah, hello, love! We're here for a spot of 'search and potentially destroy.'" Klaus greeted the woman with a grin, making eye contact with her as he began to compel her, "Do tell. Where are the areas off-limits to general staff?
The receptionist smiled evilly at them and sat back in her chair, "You just wait right here and I'll have someone out here to help you with your inquiry."
Just as expected, an alarm began to blare loudly throughout the building, causing Ophelia to smirk in satisfaction. She knew for a fact there was going to be a fight and she was glad.
The alarm caused the reception area to go dark and red lights to flash as the room flooded with armed guards, "Stay right there!"
The guards surrounded Hayley, Ophelia, and Klaus, who didn't look as concerned as they do amused as the guards' assault rifles were aimed at them.
Ophelia and Klaus shared an amused look as the guns' laser sights pointed right at their hearts, "Shall we, handsome?" She asked Klaus in a playful tone.
Klaus gestured his hand forward as he leaned against the service desk, "Ladies first." He responded.
Ophelia and Hayley shared a quick look with each other before they roared at the guards who stormed toward them. Though the guards all shot at them, they were barely affected by the bullets as the two of them started taking out the guards one by one, with Klaus following their lead and roaring as well.
The three hybrids broke some of the guards' bones, snapped the necks of some others, and impaled them with their guns until finally, Ophelia threw the last one standing through the glass door of the reception area.
Once they were done, Klaus gave the guard one last passing look before he, Ophelia, and Hayley made their way through the building in search for clues.
Soon after their attack, Ophelia presumed that the building was under lockdown.
Klaus and Ophelia were making their way through another wing when they saw a frantic scientist in a white lab coat rush out of a locked door and almost run right into them. Before Ophelia could kill him herself, Klaus grabbed the man from behind and snapped his neck before reaching into his lab coat pocket and pulling out the credentials needed to get into the secret areas of the laboratory.
"Hey, I wanted to do that," Ophelia complained, sounding almost as though she was whining.
Klaus dropped the scientist's body onto the floor without another word and held up the key card for Ophelia and Hayley to see as he laughed in amusement.
Checking to make sure the coast was clear, the three made it through the locked door and into a laboratory.
Inside the lab, Klaus, Ophelia, and Hayley were shocked to find almost a dozen men and women chained up and attached to IV drips, while the corpse of a transformed werewolf laid in a cage.
Ophelia gasped, tears welled in her eyes as she placed a hand over her hand, clearly horrified by the scene, "They're all wolves." Hayley spoke up, coming to the realization.
She walked over to where a young man was chained up and saw what looked like a breathing mask over his face, only it had two vials on each side filled with some reddish-orange fluid.
When she reached out to touch the man, his eyes opened, revealing yellow-gold werewolf eyes, and he moaned in pain, "Klaus, Ophelia, they're still alive!" Hayley exclaimed in horror.
Both Ophelia and Klaus looked equally disgusted by what Lucien had been doing, but when Klaus saw a clear plastic curtain behind him, he turned and opened it to find a dead woman bound to an exam table with lesions all over her face, neck, and chest.
Klaus breathed deeply through his nose for a moment, "This one's a vampire." He said in shock, turning to face Ophelia and Hayley.
"What the hell is that bastard Lucien up to?" Ophelia asked Klaus and Hayley in horror.
___
Afterward, Klaus was in the middle of gently removing the werewolf venom-removing apparatus from one of the werewolves' face when Ophelia joined him, Hayley following her over soon after.
"Help me with this one." Klaus insisted and Ophelia was quick to do so.
The duo worked together to help the werewolf, a middle-aged man, out of his restraints and gently helped him sit down before Hayley bit her wrist and offered it to him, "No vampire blood..." He trailed off weakly.
"That's okay. The others drank. I'm a hybrid," Hayley informed him "Go on."
The werewolf looked at the group of three hesitantly and Hayley nodded her head in encouragement, "Go on."
The werewolf reluctantly drank the blood while Klaus and Ophelia tried to brainstorm what they had just learned, "He needed their venom." Klaus finally realized as he glanced around, eventually finding a small refrigerator that he opened to find a vial of cloudy white liquid, "He harvested the venom he needed, then reverse-engineered a vaccine. Clever stuff."
"And her?" Hayley questioned in confusion, gesturing her head to the dead vampire woman who was still strapped to the exam table, "The dead vampire?"
Klaus looked at the woman's body for a moment, "It was the wolf venom that killed her," He informed Hayley and Ophelia, finding a syringe full of werewolf venom and examined it, "Just Lucien testing his cure."
Ophelia gave Klaus a deeply puzzled look, "Why does he need to test out something he knows already works?" She suddenly asked, causing Klaus to feel uneasy since he knew she had a point.
