Ophelia stood in Klaus' study, watching closely as the male hybrid took a painting off of the wall in the study, revealing a safe that was built into the bricks behind it.

He spun the dial and put in a secret combination to open it. Inside was a wooden box, which he opened gently as he walked away from the safe.

Ophelia already knew that in the box was a stack of old letters in fading envelopes. Meanwhile, Elijah and Freya entered the room to join the duo, "You collect trophies from all your victims?" Freya asked her brother incredulously.

"More specifically, letters to their loved ones." Ophelia pointed out in a mocking tone.

Klaus tried to ignore them as he started to look through the letters, "It was a phase." He informed the group, not thinking anything of it.

"A phase in which we were forced to learn a different kind of stealth," Elijah spoke up, leaning forward in the chair he was now sitting in to continue the story for Freya since Ophelia had already heard about it before, "You see, over time, Niklaus' enemies grew so numerous, we had no choice but to artfully withdraw from the world," He paused as Klaus gave his elder brother an offended look, "And then..."

Freya turned to Elijah and gave him both  a curious and exasperated look as he turned to speak to her, "Well, I wouldn't exactly describe our presence in this city as discrete. Wouldn't you agree, Niklaus?"

Klaus, who was clearly frustrated, finally joined the conversation,  "We all saw the white oak destroyed! Plus, this city is crawling with vampires, all of whom had no choice but to shield me from potential foes! Were I to die, they would die, too. I couldn't have been more safe!" He explained and Ophelia became concerned as she watched his face become filled with worry, "And now my sire link is undone. Those very foes will come for me... Like never before."

Freya sighed deeply, clearly frustrated, "It's only been a few days since the link was broken," She reminded the group, "Must you jump into crippling paranoia already?"

Elijah rolled his eyes, "It's a default setting."

"And for good reason!" He reminded his brother in an angered tone.

Elijah stood to his feet to walk over to where Klaus was standing beside Opehlia, who was utterly silent, "Well, Niklaus, if it offers you any solace whatsoever, you've ransacked Aya's belongings, torched Aurora's hunting ground, and obliterated every last splinter of the white oak."

Klaus lowered his voice threateningly, "I would be mad to believe that."

Elijah shrugged his shoulders, "Perhaps you should see a therapist." He suggested and Ophelia smiled slightly in amusement, knowing that he was right.

Klaus turned to Ophelia, who gave him a stern look, "You really should," She agreed with Elijah, causing Klaus, who realized that they were talking about Cami, to sigh deeply.

He looked over at Freya, who still looked exasperated by his behavior, before walking away without another word.

Elijah took a deep breath, causing Freya to give him a skeptical look, "Every last splinter? You're sure?" She questioned her brother, who said nothing as he avoided eye contact with her.

Ophelia let out a sigh before turning on her heel, heading out of Klaus' room. She went into her pocket and took the list she had made at Rousseau's. She looked down at the list to see three names crossed off. Aya's, the man she killed at the Davilla Estate, and the one she had killed the previous night. She quickly read through the list twice before speeding out of the compound.

____

In the French Quarter, Ophelia followed after two Strix Members whom she knew were involved in Jackson's death.

Knowing that someone was following them, the two vampires stopped walking and glanced around.

Suddenly, they turned back around, only to see Ophelia standing there, looking content. The two vampires snarled, their vampire faces appearing as they got ready to attack.

As they rushed forward to attack her, Ophelia lifted her arm, beginning to cast a pain infliction spell on them. They screamed out in pain, dropping to their knees and they clutched their head.

Ophelia stepped forward, continuing to cast the spell on them. She plunged one of her hands into the brunette vampire's chest, ripping their heart out. As they dropped to the ground dead, Ophelia turned to blonde one, who happened to be a woman, unlike the other one.

Ophelia gripped onto the woman's hair before ripping her head off, blood splattering across the tribrid's face.

Ophelia growled under breath, her face filled with hatred as she tossed the bodies into the dumpster she had placed the body from the night before in.

Suddenly, three other Strix vampires sped over, clearly hearing the scene from afar. Ophelia smirked when she turned to them to see that they were three vampires that happened to be on her list, "Takahashi Fukuda, Arthur Bailey, Cadence Flynn," She spoke up in a bright tone, "What a surprise!"

The vampires snarled at her, rushing over. Before they could even touch her, with a simple flick of her wrist, Ophelia snapped their necks.

Ophelia sighed, walking over to the three unconscious vampires, "Now, how am I supposed to keep you hidden?" She asked in a sarcastic tone.

Her eyes lit up, remembering the secret warehouse she owned just outside the quarter, "Ah! That's it!" She spoke up, looking down at the trio, "I'll just have to compel some humans to bring you there."

Ophelia smirked evilly, clearly enjoying the idea of making the three vampires suffer.

_______

After killing the two vampires, Ophelia arrived back to the compound. She was in her bedroom, sitting on the bench at the end of her bed, where she was looking down at the rest.

The names listed were Aurora de Martel, Aya Al-Rashed, Takahashi Fukuda, Arthur Bailey, Cadence Flynn, Isaac Pack, and Claire Beland. Aya and Aurora's names had been scratched off along with three others, the ones she had killed already.

Just then, Elijah walked into the room and Ophelia quickly placed her list back in her pocket, "I could've sworn Klaus told me that you were heading to the Bayou." He stated in a calm tone.

Ophelia stood up from her seat, "I changed my mind," She lied, heading toward the door, where Elijah immediately a smudge of blood on her forehead and frowned in concern.

"What is this?" He asked her in concern as he wiped away some of the blood with his thumb, causing Ophelia to pull away, not wanting him to figure out what she had done.

"Nothing," Ophelia lied once more, "My breakfast just got a bit messy."

Elijah gave Ophelia a pointed look, having a feeling that she was lying, "Now, excuse me," She responded before walking away, causing Elijah to sigh.

Before Ophelia could leave once more to finish her revenge plan, Klaus ended up waltzing in, calling the entire family to the study, where he began anxiously filling them in on what he had learned.

"It was him. It was Gaspar Cortez," Klaus informed the group, looking anxious.

Freya sighed, "I assume this is someone from your box of letters?" She questioned him curiously, even though she felt as though she already knew the answer.

"The youngest son of a particularly vile family of warlords I dealt with in the 17th century," Klaus began to explain and Ophelia rolled her eyes, feeling as though she already knew how it ended.

"Didn't they burn that philistine pigsty into the ground?" Elijah asked, a disgusted look on his face at thought of it.

Klaus scoffed, clearly offended by Elijah's distaste. "Pigsty?" He asked his brother in disbelief, "Belaga was my favorite artist retreat! Someone had to pay for that, so I murdered Gaspar's brute of a father."

"And?" Ophelia questioned, knowing that there was definitely more to the story.

"And one or two..." He began to say, but Elijah was quick to cut him off.

Elijah sighed and closed his eyes in annoyance in frustration as he quickly interrupted his brother, "Five," He corrected him and Klaus immediately became annoyed.

"Five of his bloodthirsty brothers." Klaus corrected himself in annoyance.

"Don't forget the mistress." Elijah reminded him.

Klaus pointed a finger at Elijah, clearly offended, "That was an accident!" He argued defensively.

Elijah rolled his eyes and turned to Freya and Ophelia, "The point is that Gaspar was but a footnote." He informed the two woman.

"Until he became a vampire, hell-bent on hunting me," Klaus informed the two woman, "He's a cunning deviant, known to compel hoards of the helpless to aid him with his tasks. You see, this is exactly what I was concerned about. Devils of all kinds, crawling out of their crevices to strike at me."

Klaus paused when he heard footsteps approaching him with his hybrid hearing and scowled, "Speaking of which..."

Immediately realizing that it was Davina, Ophelia's eyes widened in response, "Klaus, no!" She shouted in warning.

Klaus vamp-sped downstairs into the courtyard, Ophelia following soon after him.

Klaus found Davina strutting inside the front gate and immediately pinned her against a support beam by the shoulders, "Rather foolish of you to come here alone."

Davina looked only mildly afraid of him and as Ophelia was about speed toward the male hybrid to stop him, another figure vamp-sped toward Klaus and tossed him backward across the courtyard.

Ophelia's eyes widened and her mouth gaped open when she saw that it was Kol. When Klaus got to his feet, he was prepping to yell at Ophelia, clearly thinking that it was Ophelia.

When he saw that it was actually Kol, Klaus looked absolutely stunned by the sight of his younger brother, "She didn't come alone, brother." Kol told him, a devilish smirk on his face.

Just a few moments later, Elijah and Freya came downstairs to figure out what the commotion was as Klaus continued to stare at his resurrected brother in shock and disbelief. Ophelia, on the other hand, smiled, "I knew it," She muttered under her breath, recalling the vision she had had.

"Now, Nik, I mean, you did go after my girl," Kol reminded Klaus as he took a step toward him.

"It can't be." Klaus stated in disbelief, glancing between Kol and Davina.

Davina immediately stepped forward, "It's Kol. When I broke your sire link, it created a surge of power," She informed the group confidently and Freya immediately gave her a cold look.

"You stole the nexus vorti." She growled at Davina, clearly angered.

Davina rolled her eyes in frustration, clearly unhappy that they were not more grateful for what she had done for them, "And brought your brother back from the dead!"

Kol walked toward his siblings to defend her, but before he could, Ophelia stepped forward, standing in between Davina and Klaus, "Honestly, you should be thanking Davina," She defended the young witch, who immediately seemed taken aback, "She did bring your younger brother back. The one you all promised to bring back."

Ophelia frowned as Klaus walked toward Kol and immediately became worried.

She was taken aback as Klaus lunged forward and hugged Kol tightly, which both pleased and shocked Kol.

After Klaus pulled away, Kol turned to Ophelia, who quickly walked over to him. Kol smiled, immediately hugging Ophelia, "I know I just saw you on the Ancestral Plane, but I really did miss you." He confessed, causing Ophelia to smile.

"I missed you, too," She responded, pulling away from the hug.

Once they pulled away, Kol turned toward Elijah, who had made his way over and was standing in front of his youngest brother, "Hello, Elijah." Kol greeted him with a small smile.

"You haven't aged a day," Elijah stated, smiling slightly.

Kol turned to Freya, frowning as though he didn't recognize her, "And you...?" He questioned her curiously.

"Freya." She introduced herself and Kol nodded his head in response.

"Right. Long-lost older sister," Kol realized, inhaling sharply, "Speaking of twists and turns in our family tree, where might Rebekah be?"

"That's a long story. And one reserved for family," Klaus commented, turning to glare at Davina, "Davina can see herself out."

Ophelia frowned, roughly grabbed Klaus by the arm to force him to turn to her, "Hey, be nice," She warned him in a low tone.

Kol made a face and looked at Klaus in exasperation and confusion, "Uh, are you—" He began to say, but Klaus was quick to cut him off.

"As per usual, our family faces a multitude of threats," He interrupted his younger brother, his tone stern, "The sooner you become acquainted with them, the better. I won't have you distracted."

"By Davina? You know, if you could only pull your head out of your—" Kol began to insult Klaus until Davina stepped in and interrupted before Kol could finish.

"Kol," Davina spoke up and the sound of her voice immediately had the male original turning to her, "It's okay. I'll go."

Kol turned to give his brother an annoyed look before going after Davina, who was beginning to walk out, "Davina," He called out to her, letting out a large sigh.

Davina stopped walking and turned to face Kol, clearly calm about Klaus rudely kicking her out, "You can make it up to me."

"And I will," Kol promised her, taking a step toward her, "Dust off that fancy dress, 'cause tonight we're going dancing."

Davina smiled, nodding her head in response, "Okay." She replied quietly.

Kol cupped Davina's face with his hands and placed a kiss to her forehead. After they bid goodbye, Davina left. Kol turned to see his family all surprised by his tenderness while Ophelia simply smiled, happy for Kol and Davina, even if Davina was mad at her.

Realizing that she had places to be, people to kill, Ophelia awkwardly cleared her throat, "I-I'll be right back," She quickly told the group before rushing out the door, causing the entire family to frown in confusion.

"Where does she keep going?" Klaus complained, sighing in defeat, "I guess that's yet another problem we're facing as of this moment: Figuring out what Ophelia is up to this time behind our backs."
