The moon was high in the sky, it was clear and full. The light was shining in through the window of Sage's room. It was long since the last time the sky had been as clear as it was that night, but Sage was lying in her bed not really caring about it.

She couldn't sleep at all. The thoughts about Loki was buzzing around in her head. Especially Thor's comment about Loki's game. She had understood that to play the game you had to know how to win, but she wasn't sure about that. Not at all.

A sigh escaped out between her lips and she ran a hand frustratedly through her hair. She wished she could understand everything that Loki had done and was doing, but she didn't. What was he thinking? What did he wish for? What was he planning...?

She sat up, it was hopeless. How was she supposed to understand anything about him when she didn't even know how to get him to talk to her again. Before everything had been so easy, but now she didn't really know him anymore.

Eventually she gave up to resist her heart and got out of bed. She put on some actual clothes and made her way out of the house and started on the way through the garden and against the castle. This time she was running, the silence around her made her steps seem way to loud and she feared to wake someone, or that someone would discover her.

Luckily there was no one that was outside or that discovered her. When she got to the palace she sneaked in the same sideway she had went out of earlier and started on her way against the endlessly long stairs that led down to the dungeons.

She took in a deep breath, and then she started on her way down. As silent as she could just so that not even the echo would be heard, and so that no one, not even Loki would know she was coming. She held her breath almost the entire way down not tom make any sound and finally she reached the door that led into the last corridor.

The one where Loki's cell was. She walked in on her tiptoes, it was completely dark, but not to dark for her to orient. Sage ended up just standing there in the dark looking through the glass of his cell, even though she had a feeling that it might not be glass.

It was silent for a long time, while she just stood there looking at him, once again going back and forth inside his prison. It was little space to walk on, but he still did. Didn't stop once, and not did he notice that she was standing there either. He was buried too deep in his own thoughts to take notice of her presence.

She just stood there, didn't say anything in a very long while. It could be minutes, or it could be hourse. She didn't know which, but she didn't care either. Sage could stand there forever without it bothering her.

"Can't sleep either Einn?" She jumped when he suddenly spoke to her. He hadn't even looked at her, just kept pacing on. It made her smile when she realized that he had known she had been there the entire time.

He had used the old nickname, she suddenly realized. She hadn't thought about it at once. Sage considered answering him, but decided not to. She just nodded slightly.

Loki smiled, just a little bit, not enough for Sage to notice there they were standing in there, but a little bit. "Why not?" He asked and Sage glared at him, pursing her lips. Loki licked his own, like he had for habit doing. He had stopped now, finally and was waiting patiently for an answer.

"Same reason as you I believe." She muttered, but she knew that he heard. He was the entire reason for her not sleeping. He should know that. She didn't want it to be like that, of course. It just was. Loki raised an eyebrow, suddenly interested.

He knew that she did not know why he wasn't asleep, at least not totally the way it was. Therefore he wondered why she would mean so, he had a slight idea, based on her reaction. He just couldn't be completely sure, it was her he was talking about after all.

"Why can't you sleep?" She asked him then, in the same tone as he had asked her. Like she was mocking him a bit. Loki just smiled slightly and then sat down at the edge of his bed.

"Prison isn't exactly... calming." He commented while his gaze was wandering around the cell. It felt locked up, and he couldn't relax in it. He might have been able to if he tried, but he chose not to sleep. Why was a completely different and unimportant reason.

Sage nodded in agreement, and then sat down on the floor outside of the cell. So that both of them were sitting in each their place, with only some kind of glass between them. None of them were sure if they really wanted that glass to be gone, so they could reach eachother.

"Goodnight, Einn." Loki suddenly said, and made Sage jump a little. None of them had spoken for a coupld of hours, but now Loki had stood up and was in his night wear, which consisted of pants. So that he could go to bed. He knew that he wouldn't really do so, though.

Sage kept an eye on him until he had lied down in the bed, under the blanket. Then she was about to get up and go back home, but suddenly felt so much more tired. She started to sink back to the floor, and before she even knew what was going on she lied curled up on the floor outside of his cell in a deep sleep.

She didn't know that only minutes later Loki was out of bed and sat on the floor as close as he could to her on the inside of his cage. His eyes was watching over her.

She was his one, his Einn, and he had to make sure that she was to sleep well, even there on the floor outside of his.
