After the Clan finds out about Acornpaw's treachery, the tom is cast out and thrown to the buzzards. But when he meets a new group of cats in the wild, he decides he can start over his life again.

These cats are mysterious, blood-thirsty, and want revenge on what the Clans did to them in the past. While trying to figure out where he stands on these terms, Acorn is thrown into a web of lies where only one truth stands. He meets new cats, finds new interests, and realizes what he must do to get himself out of this everlasting chaos.
