"Bro!" Someone called Jason in the hospital and he immediately recognise the voice even when the nick name was new.

Jason looked were the voice was coming and he felt the need to hit someone face against a wall real hard, several times.

Vina was sitting on a hospital bed looking very small and frágil with a split lip and a bandage around her head.

Jason was gonna kill the fucking bastard that put her there and fucking enjoy it.

But right now Vina need him so he had a role to play.

"Hey little one, what happened?" He asked like the worried brother that apparently he had to play to be.

"She hit her head hard, and had a concussion, nothing to serious but she should stay awake for a while to be sure" explain the nurse next to Vina "are you the adult responsable for her?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I am her older brother" he answered easily taking a clipboard and a pen that the nurse gave him.

"Good, sign there and you are free to go" she said giving one last word to Vina about coming again if she felt dizzy or sick.

"Here, thank you" he said giving her the sign forms and helping Vina out of the hospital bed.

"Thank you" said Vina to the nurse and left the hospital with Jason.

Jason waited to be in the car to break the silence between them.

"Care to explain why I receive a call from the hospital for my injured little sister?" He finally asked as soft as he could trying really hard  not to scare her away.

"You had to promise to never tell Damián" Davina said sounding very fragile and worried "please" she begged and this was the first time that Jason heard her like that and he hate it with every cell of his body.

"I promise" he answered and for a moment he just waited for her to be ready to talk no wanting to pressure her.

Vina took a deep breath and told her about the crappy afternoon that she had.

According to Vina when she was returning from visiting her Lela a woman stop her on the street and told her that she and her friend were attacked and that her friend needed help and tried to drag her to an alleyway.

Vina wasn't stupid so instead of just follow her she tried to call from an ambulance but she was so focused on the woman that was pushing her that she didn't realize that she wasn't alone until she felt something hard hit her head from behind making her fell to the ground.

She tried to grab her purse that fell with her and use her taser but she was drag through the floor by her feets.

By this point Vina was pretty sure that this wasn't just a rob and she panicked.

So she let the guy drag her and pretend to be pass out and waited to kick the guy making him fell to the ground and Vina just scaped without looking back.

Now why she didn't want to tell Damián was obvious, the little demon would probably be in search of blood, and Jason was totally with him on that, but they were thing that didn't have sense.

First, by how easy she was released from the hospital and that they weren't cops around it was clear that Davina didn't said the truth about how she injured herself.

Now they were a lot of reasons why a girl wouldn't want to say why she was attack but Vina was smart she knew how dangerous was to let go those people after she saw their faces and even Vina who didn't like to mess in other people business would know how bad was to let a rapist — and God knows what else — free.

And second, even if she managed to knock out one of her aggressors, there still was the other girl that first tried to drag her.

Vina was hurt and confused, there was no way that she could have scape on her own.

And by the look that Vina was giving him, she already knew that he knew that.

"Only Dami and Alfred know" she said and Jason was about to ask exactly what they only knew until Vina vanished in front of his eyes lefting a blue mist behind her

"Holy shi—

"Because of this I can't go to the police" Vina said from the backseat making Jason jump on his seat.

Jason looked her through the mirror on the car and watched the tired and very golden eyes of Vina looking back at him.

So that explained why the contact lents since a very young age.

And why she didn't went to the police.

If Vina went to the police they would come to the same conclusion as him and would question Vina until she confessed how she scaped and even if she didn't say it, her aggressors would say it for her.

In any case a lot of people would found out that Vina was a meta and in this city — or an any place to be honest people were very awful to metas everywhere — meant that her life was over.

So those bastard could get away or probably that's what they thought.

And they were severely mistaken on that, Jason would made them pay very good for what they did.

But priorities first.

"Do you wanna go home or...?" He asked and for a moment Vina just hesitate.

She probably wanted to go with Damián or her Lela but neither was an option.

Damián would go berserker and Vina didn't want that he dirty his hands for her surely causing problems between him and Bruce.

And her Lela didn't knew she was a meta so she couldn't know the history at least not the full one.

Jason could only guess how she felt right now, tired, scared and very lonely.

"Can I stay with you?" I don't want to be alone went unsaid and Jason just gave her a soft smile.

"Of course kiddo" he answered starting the car deciding to go to his most nice safe house.

The ride was silent and Jason didn't try to make conversation, Vina was exhausted and probably the only reason why she didn't fell asleep on the backseat was because the nurse told her to stay awake for a while.

When they were finally there he opened the car door for her and guided her inside trying not to touch her, or make her uncomfortable, usually people that went through things like Vina did didn't like to be around mens, the fact that she asked to come with him was already a lot and he didn't want to overwhelm her.

"We can watch some movies or tv show" he suggested watching her sitting on the couch on front of the tv.

"Do you have Netflix?" She asked taking a blanket that was on the floor and putting it around her body looking like a burrito. 

"Of course I have, I am not a cave man" he answered with a smile watching how Vina made a little  space next to her on the couch.

"I want to watch Brooklyn 99, please" she asked while he sat next to her.

"Whatever you want" he said putting the tv on and setting netflix.

To be honest  the serie was a lot more fun and he like it a lot, and he was kinda in love now with Rosa and Gina but it was good because it calmed Vina and she  fell asleep on his shoulder.

Now according to what Vina told him, and that he didn't have anything on her, her purse with her things was still on the alley where she was attack or the soon to be death bastards took it.

Either way Jason had a way to find them, and once he did he was going to take her sweet time with them.

He promised not to tell Damián to make sure that he didn't dirtied his hands, but he never promised not to gave those bastards what they deserved.

"I know what happened" Said Damián a couple days later and Jason figured that it was just a matter of time before he figured it out that Davina didn't fell on her house.

"No idea what are you talking about" he answered easily.

"Of course you don't know" he rolled his eyes  "I assume that you already took care of everything" he added and he just did a little sound in agreement.

He took care of it in the moment that Vina was safe on her house again and he was alone.

He found the bastards that as he originally thought took Vina stuff and made really easy caught them.

The bastards had pictures of Vina on their little hide out and from several other girls, apparently they choose their victim with care to no get caught.

Unfortunately for them  they choose the wrong girl to mess with.

Jason made sure that they could never hurt anyone never again in this life at least.

"And you are here for?" He asked raising an eyebrow because it was rare that Damián came to his place unless he wanted a fight.

For a second Damián seem to doubt making him curious.

"Thank you, for everything" Damián said for his surprise sounding very sincere and damn Jason didn't really waited that. "I owe you"

"I did it for Vina so it's fine" he said feeling a little proud With himself.

And protective Jason it's my favorite, besides I love Davina but let's be honest in Gotham city a pretty girl like Vina would be attack at least one! It's a fact not me!
