would you let me in?

Damián was having a bad week.

A stupid organization who hated metas managed to poison Gotham supply of water, and because of that hundreds of people were getting sick all over the city.

The normal human being only experimented a regular cold and in some extreme cases they could get a neumonía but it was the meta that suffer the most.

The virus wich they used to contaminated the water attacked the meta cells in their system and since every meta was different it caused a series of medical complications but all the cases had two thing in common.

The patient presented blue veins all over their bodies and if they didn't get medical attention soon they end up in the morgue.

Damian got to admit that it was a smart plan, even if the meta didn't die from the virus, they would be exposed to the world as meta in the moment that they asked for help, and from them things would only get harder from them.

He didn't particularly liked metas, most of them caused havock in his town after all but like and ex assassin he understood how hard it was to be something else that what people thought of you.

So Damián would do everything he could to help.

It was because of that, that he didn't understand why he was send to his classes when he was sure that he could help more in the cave with the rest of his brothers and family.

Damian had all the set of mind to complain about this with Vina until he realized that she wasn't in her seat, wich was odd, Vina hated to be late and was one of the first in getting to class.

Now that he thought a little about it he hadn't heard from Vina since last night when she told him that she had a cold.

Maybe she was more sick than what he originally thought, and it wasn't like her dad was a lot in their apartment to realize that his daughter was sick.

Maybe Damián should go and take a look to make sure that she was okay.

But Vina would tell him if she was feeling to bad, right?

They didn't have secrets with each other so he had to trust that Vina would tell him if something was wrong.

Besides only a 2% of the normal population of the city presented complications, and Vina almost never got sick so she should be fine.

She had to be fine.

.

"Vina!" He called knocking her door, a little bit more urgently than what was truly necessary but he had a really bad feeling so he may have ditched his classes to get to Vina sooner. "Vina!" He called again and this time he heard something inside.

Something fell to the ground.

"Vina!" He screamed feeling way more desperate that when he started.

"I... I am fine Dami" he heard Vina's voice from the other side of the room and it should have calmed him down, but that wasn't the voice of someone who had a minor cold. "Is just a cold...
So you should come back later, I'll call you when I feel better"

"Would you let me in?" He said with a small voice and he heard Vina used the door as support to get to the floor.

"good-bye Damián" she answered and Damián felt his chest a little too tight.

"I am sorry" he said and waited for a second in case that she changed her mind but when she didn't he left.

But he didn't go to far, he only went to the side of the building to enter through the window, that it was closed.

Vina always left the window open for him.

He managed to open it easily, and he tried not to make any sound while he searched for Vina.

He was not doing anything bad, he just needed to see her once, to make sure that she was okay and then he will leave, and if she wasn't okay he would put some sense in her and tell her that it was fine to let other people take care of her once in a while.

Damian could take care of her — He wanted to do it —

"Vina?" He asked softly going to her room and when he didn't found her there he went to the door.

And she was there, hugging her knees still sitting in the floor with her back to the door.

"Vina" He said with relief at finally be available of seeing her until Vina realized that she wasn't longer alone and raised her face.

They were a lot of thing to look in her face.

First they were the blue veins around her eyes, and her eyes that they weren't longer brown but a soft tone of gold.

But what took his attention more than anything were the tears all over her face and the look of resignation in her eyes.

"Vin—he tried to call her but in a second she was gone and all that it was left was a blue mist in her spot.
