I like you sometimes.

Davina might not like spending time with her classmates after class — Dami was an exception, but that wasn't something new —   but she did like getting extra credit in one of her less favorite classes such as P.E. She could run — which was something that you need it to be good on Gotham —  just fine and any other thing besides that it was just a plus that she could live without so when her teacher offer her to help her pass the class without having to climb the fucking rope in the Gym, she said yes right away.

"So this is how you do this?" Her classmate asked and she couldn't remember his name for the life of her, Mathew something? Mark? Mildred? Well that wasn't important right now.

"Yes, you are doing great" she answered avoiding the name issue, besides, with that last problem solved she was finally free for today. "your prize" she said giving him a bag of paper with some sweets.

"Chocolate chips cookies! You are the best!" He smiled taking one cookie and eating it right away.

"Well you did good today, if we keep things this way you might not need my help for much longer" Davina added taking her things so she could leave already.

"That sounds great, but I was thinking that maybe after this was all over you and I could do more things together" he suggested with a charming smile on his face.

"Like projects? Sure I mean I should probably ask Dami first since we always do then together, but I should be okay making one together" she said taking her bag with all of her things before standing up "I hope you have a nice day, bye!" She told leaving right away.

"That's not what I meant..." He sighed watching her left the library, well he could always ask her next time.

.

"I don't like him" said Damián making a face while he  watched the boy that Davina was helping after class.

"To be fair you don't like anyone your age" Davina answered while she was eating her lunch in the cafeteria with her friend.

"I like you, sometimes" He defend himself and he received a pointed look from his friend.

"So touching" Davina mocked rolling her eyes.

"But the point it's that I don't trust him"  he explained watching his salad like it had personally wrong him.

Damian couldn't believe that in a fancy school like this the only vegetarian option was a poor excuse of a salad.

"I don't either and that's why we always met in the library where we are never alone" She said looking at Damian's lunch and her Lela would probably faint about the lack of protein in her friend lunch.

"It one of her rules?" He asked a little curious not saying nothing when Davina  left her lunch in front of him.

It was some kind of green omelet, but it look and smell fine so he tried it.

It was nice —it was more than nice, it was delicious and he'll have to asked  for the recipe later

"Don't trust men, and never stay with them alone" Davina said looking smug like she already knew that Damián like the tortilla.

"You stay alone with me all the time"

"That's because you aren't a man, you are a robot so no danger here"

"I am eating, robots aren't supposed to eat"

"Maybe that's what they want us to think" She told back with a smile and it was time for Damián to roll his eyes.

"I'm not listening to you anymore, you are being a nuisance" he said finishing her lunch.

"Anyway, if you don't trust him you can wait for during our meeting in the library" She suggested taking her things making a mental note about making a second lunch and ask her Lela if she knew a few vegetarian recipes.

She didn't have many hopes about it but she didn't loose anything trying, and she could always tried Google.

Google have never failed her before.

"Fine" he conceded helping her with her things so they could return to their classroom where they tend to spend their breaks together.

"Aww you do care, eres tan lindo¹" She said following him to their classroom.

"Tt"

.

"So I was thinking" her classmate said and Davina almost said something like how that was something new, but that didn't sound very polite so she kept her mouth closed. "It's time for our first date don't you think?" He asked making Davina blink several times.

The fuck?

"Excuse me?" She said sounding as confused as she felt.

"Oh you don't need to play shy I know why you are doing all this" He said looking pretty smug and Davina resisted the urge to punch that look out of his face.

"Doing what exactly?" Davina said in a slow tone just to make sure that he heard her right.

"Tutoring me, giving me all of this homemade sweets, offering to team up with me, being all polite and nice with me" He pointed with a triumphant smile like if he figured something really hard and important "it's really sweet of you, and I most say that I am happy to give you a lot of my attention so we can spend some... quality time together" he said the last part like it was something dirty and Davina felt really sick right now.

Don't get her wrong, she did think that the guys was handsome, and nice, but the fact that they have spent a lot of time together after class and she still couldn't remember his name was a clear sign that they weren't compatible, and besides she was pretty sure that he already had a girlfriend and that was a lot of unnecessary drama that she wanted to avoid.

"First" she begun taking her things really slow so he didn't notice " I help you study because the couch asked me, so you could play in the next game" what sport he played was still a unknown and she couldn't care less "second I bake a lot, I stress cook, so I didn't make the sweets for you, I made them to relax myself" she said pulling her bag from the table standing up "and third I am polite and nice to everyone, because that's how I was raised to be, so no, I don't want to date you, and yes, I'll tell the couch that you need a new tutor" Davina said finally taking her leave before she could heard an answer because she doubted that he was the guy that took a No for an answer so easily and she really didn't want to do a scene in the library.

"That was fast" Salute Damián waiting for her in the gates of the library.

"Yeah, thing's got complicated so I had to leave early" she answered sighing, well maybe if she play her cards right she still could get that extra credit.

"Are you fine?" He asked watching her carefully.

"Estoy bie²— she was cut short when she felt someone grabbing her wrist.

Of for the love of— really?

"We are not done talking" said her classmate while Davina tried and failed to break free from him.

"I think I already made myself clear, so can you please let me go?" She played as nice as she could but she wasn't feeling particularly nice right now.

"If I let you go, you'll runaway again" wich was a pretty fair point to be honest "and look you have a lot to win from this"

"To win?" She asked more confused than before, what was this Gringo thinking?

"I know that you are here because of a scholarship, and you don't have to much fund's, so if you go out with me I wouldn't mind treating you right and help you a little" he offered like it was the more amazing thing in the world.

Was he calling her a hooker?  Davina had to go to her happy place to not kick this asshole in his dick, and making him regret ever meeting her.

"That's really sweet of you, but my answer is still no" she forced herself to smile trying to take her arm back but  he used more strength to keep her in place

"You are not listening, this is a good opportunity fo—

"It hurts, please" she begged when the force was too much for her fearing that he may actually break her wrist.

"I am not—

"She asked you to let her go, two times" Said Damián grabbing him from his wrist and it seems that their classmate finally realized that they where not alone.

"This is not your problem" he tried to push him away but he didn't even move an inch.

"It is when you are clearly hurting her" Damián used a low tone that it was way more dangerous that any tone that his classmate have ever heard him use and like to make his point even more clear he used more force in his hand making him jump a little from the pain.

"You basta— he started

"Are you okay?" Damian asked not even giving him a side glance putting all his attention on his friend.

"Yes... I think" she mumbled and he look at her wrist that it was already beging to change colors. "Demonios, dejara un moretón³"

"Ese desgra—he Made a move to grab their classmate who already look a little bit guilty for hurting her.

"Damian estoy bien, solo vámonos, por favor⁴" she begged her friend giving him a pleading look.

"Tt" he gave their classmate a threatening look that made him give one step back "stay the hell away from her" Damián order him before leaving with Davina not really sure if he could restraint himself from punching the duchbag on the face if he stay for longer.

The very next day Damián came to school with a training plan for her, so she knew how to defend herself when Damián was not around, wich was pretty cute if you asked Davina.

And their classmate? For some reason he couldn't see Davina without  looking like he saw a ghost, and if Damian look particularly smug when this happened Davina decide not to question him about it and if she did his favorite cookies that week, it was only between them.
