Everyone had always hoped that it would happen. Belladonna would finally settle down.

Maybe she would start taking life easy like every hobbit was supposed to do. Just relax and enjoy day to day life. Bungo would surely help her doing so. 

And then he too went on an adventure...

It was ridiculous!

Scandalous!

What had she done to that good boy?

But Bungo wouldn't hear none of it. He knew he loved his Bella. No one could convince him that he had changed for the worse.

If it was truly that bad then why did he feel so happy when he thought about her?

They went through their courtship like every couply would. Their parents were beginning to feel happy for them. And the neighbours quieted down a bit after some weeks.

It did help that they did everything according to the courting book of hobbits. No one knows what could have happened if they hadn't done so.

The two weeks off were truly a blessing. Finally some time to spend together and not worry about anyone else who might have an opinion on their relationship. 

Of course they didn't sit at home and drink tea like every other couple would do. No, Bungo and Belladonna were always found taking walks outside. Never apart.

Never did they go on an official adventure, but they could be seen leaving early in the morning and returning late at night. 

Bungo always brought a basket filled with food with him and Belladonna carried the blanket. They were on their way to become a perfectly respectable couple.

And maybe, just maybe, Belladonna would finally settle down.
