I DON'T OWN GRAVITY FALLS

Ok guys, it's Zach here. I'm going to level with you, it's been a while since I've written a proper romantic date chapter, my recent books have been a bit to gritty to have one. But I've decided that along with the usual books I write, I'm going to write a few upbeat stories, which means I need to get back into the swing of things. I really would like you to help me write these types of chapters, so comments with suggestions are greatly appreciated. And if you have a chapter suggestion, even better. Dipper gets home from school on the Thursday before his date and slumps on his bed. Mabel skips in behind him. "I'm so excited, your first date Dipper. I really am happy for you. I can't wait to see what your going to do."

"Well I've only got 29 hours to plan this thing, so it's time to consult the old list."

Mabel face palms. "Not the list. Please Dipper anything but the list. I thought you grew out of those."

"I did, but this is for Pacifica, so I want it to be perfect, just like she is. Now let's check it." Dipper pulls a folded sheet of paper out of his pocket. He unfolded it to see what it says.

~Start of List~

• Step 1: Realise that you can't do this on your own and that you couldn't be romantic to save your life. Therefore, the only logical course of action is to ask Mabel for help.

• Step 2: Destroy this list with fire. Mabel can never know this is what you wrote.

"So Dipper, what does it say?"

Dipper ripped up the list and through it in the bin. He then took a match from the bedside draw and lit it before throwing that in the bin too. The list went up in flames. Dipper shrugged. "What does what say?"

"The list?"

"What list?"

Mabel shrugged. "Whatever."

Mabel was about to walk out when dipper stops her. "I need you to help me. I can't plan this on my own."

"I thought you'd never ask bro-bro."

~28 hours and 30 minutes later~

"Ok Mabel, I got this. Its time for me to go, so wish me luck."

Mabel gave Dipper the thumbs up as he left the mystery shack. He walked over to Pacifica's house and rang the bell at the gate. Pacifica answered over the speaker. "I'm almost done getting ready, come in and I'll be down in a minute."

The gate at the front of the driveway opened and Dipper walked into the garden. He arrived at the front door and knocked it. Pacifica's mother came the answer it. "Hello, you must be Dipper. Come in, Pacifica will be down in a second."

Dipper followed Pacifica's mum into the house and sat down across from her on one of the couches. "Ok Dipper, here are some ground rules. Pacifica's curfew is at 11pm, so try to get her home by then. Also, I want no shananagins. How many shananagins do I want Dipper?"

"None."

"Good boy. Oh look here's Pacifica now."

Pacifica walked down the stairs wearing a dark purple hoodie and a short skirt of the same colour, with black flats to match. "Hey Dipper."

"Pacifica, you're so beautiful."

Pacifica chuckled. "Your such a charmer Dipper." She kissed him on the cheek. "You scrub up nice yourself."

Dipper blushes. Pacifica's mum gets up. "Ok, I'll leave you two to it."

Dipper leads Pacifica out of the house and down the drive. "I'm going to make the most of the 3 hours I have before I get you home. And I think we'll start with a movie."

"Great, which one?"

"You'll have to wait and see."

They walked to the cinema in the main town. Pacifica waited by the door as Dipper went to get the tickets. He walked up the the ticket office and leaned on the desk. "Hi, I'm Dipper Pines. Is everything ready?"

The cashier looked up from his magazine. "Of course Mr. Pines."

Dipper went back over to Pacifica. "Ok, let's head in."

They walk up to the cashier's desk again. He got out of his booth and grabbed a flashlight. "This way please."

They followed him down the hall and arrived at a movie screen with PRIVATE FUNCTION written on a sign outside. Pacifica looked puzzled. "Dipper, whats he doing? This screen is reserved."

"I know."

They both went in and sat in the middle of the empty room. "Dipper, you did this for me?"

"Of course I did. I wanted this first date to be perfect. The movie's starting."

The lights went down and the opening scene to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly appeared on the screen. Pacifica's face lit up. "Dipper, this is my favorite movie. I love westerns. Thank you so much."

She leans towards Dipper and leaned her head on his shoulder. Dipper put his arm around Pacifica and pulled her in tight. An hour into the movie, Pacifica's stomach started to rumble. Dipper looked over to her. "Do you want some popcorn."

Pacifica looked up at Dipper and nodded. Dipper took his free hand and pressed a button by his side. The doors open and in walked the cashier, holding a jumbo bucket of popcorn. He placed it between them and left. Pacifica dipped into the popcorn. "Thank you so much Dipper. You're amazing."

The movie went on and they both continued to eat the popcorn, Dipper and Pacifica still in the same position from the start. Near the end of the movie, there was only the last little bits of the popcorn left, and they both went for it. There hands touched in the bucket, and Dipper took Pacifica's hand and held it. At the end of the movie, they left the theater, still holding hands. Dipper walked Pacifica back to her house.

"Thanks for walking me home Dipper. I had a great time tonight. It was really amazing."

"It's not over yet."

"What do you mean?"

"What time is it?"

"10:59."

Dipper pulls Pacifica in and gives her a kiss. They both melt into. Dippers watch goes off and he lets Pacifica go. "Right on curfew, so you better get going before you get in trouble." Dipper gives Pacifica one last kiss. "Pacifica?"

"Yes Dipper."

"I've had j really great time tonight,  a and I was wondering something."

"What is it?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course Dipper. I've wanted you to ask me since last year."

They kiss one final time before Pacifica walks down her drive and Dipper walks back to the Mystery Shack. In Pacifica's house, her mum is sitting behind a TV screen as she had just watched the events unfold via CCTV. "I think I might let this shananagin slide."
