Chapter 3: School's Not Out

I DON'T OWN GRAVITY FALLS

Mabel frowned. "What do you mean we have to go to school?"

Ariel stood in the door. "I mean that I've enrolled you both in Gravity Falls high for the summester. You start tomorrow."

"But I thought the good thing about having your house destroyed was not having to go to school."

"There is no 'good thing' about having your house destroyed. Now go to sleep, you have to be up early tomorrow."

Mabel groaned and got into bed. Ariel said goodnight, turned off all the lights and left.

The next morning, the pines twins woke up, got dressed, ate their breakfast and got on the bus. Mabel instantly spotted some people at the back. "Candy, Grenda, my besties. What's up?"

Mabel, what are you doing here?"

"My house was destroyed so we're here for the rest of the summester."

Mabel continued to talk to the girls. Dipper found an empty seat and read his book. When they got to the school, Mabel and Dipper got there timetables. They then went to their first lesson. When they got their, they slid into a pair of seats next to Candy and Grenda. The teacher called the roll. "Candy."

"Here."

"Grenda."

"Here."

"Let's see here. M...m...maple?"

"It's Mabel."

"I'm sorry dear, I thought your name was Maple, like the syrup. Thank you for correcting me. Ok now, Pacifica."

"Here."

Dipper turns around. Pacifica is sitting a couple seats behind him. She is different though. She isn't wearing extremely expensive clothes or diamond earrings. She looked almost normal. Dipper turned around. "Pacifica?"

Pacifica looked up from her book. "Dipper?"

"Hey, how are you. It's been a while."

"Yeah, it has. How have you been? What are you doing here?"

"Im fine. My house was taken out by a tornado, so my family are living here for the next few months until it's rebuilt."

"I'm sorry about your house."

"It's fine. But let's talk about you. You look amazing. Hows everything with your family going?"

"Well, my dad got arrested for doing illegal experiments on animals."

"Wow. I should be sorry, but to be honest, he deserved it."

"I know. So now it's just me and my mum. She turned the Northwest name around. She set up a charity funds for those worst affected by Weirdmageddon. She really helped fix the town up."

"I did notice a distinct lack of floating rocks talking armchairs."

They both laugh. The teacher clears her throat. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Dipper turned around. "Sorry miss, it won't happen again."

"It had better not." The teacher turned back to look at the board. "Now, back to algebra."

Dipper opened his book and started taking notes. A ball of paper lands on his book in front of him. He unfolds it. It said "sit with me at lunch. Signed Pacifica." Dipper put the note in his pocket and looked behind him. Pacifica was doing her work, smiling.
