🌠 Chapter-8🌠

"So...," Taehyung broke the silence that had filled the room ever since the girls stepped out, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife.

Jin let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his face with his hands. "This is a mess. I left my home to study in a prestigious college, not to save some unknown planet with people I've never met." His frustration was evident, and the others could feel the weight of his words.

Namjoon, who had been deep in thought, finally spoke up. "I get it. None of us signed up for this. But... what if they're telling the truth? What if we're really here for a reason?"

Yoongi leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms. "It's hard to believe, but... you saw what we saw, right? The flying, the magic, this entire world—it's not something we can just ignore."

"Still," Jimin interjected, "how do we know this isn't some elaborate trick? Maybe we're being manipulated."

"But why?" Hoseok asked, his voice softer than usual. "What would they gain from tricking us? We are just normal college students."

Jungkook, who had been quiet for a while, finally spoke up. "They mentioned a prophecy, and that we're supposed to protect their world. I don't know about you guys, but if there's even a small chance that it's true... shouldn't we at least consider it? What if we really can make a difference?"

Taehyung nodded slowly, his initial scepticism fading. "It sounds crazy, but after everything we've seen today, I don't know what to believe anymore."

"Same," Jin admitted reluctantly. "But this isn't something we can just decide on a whim. This is... huge."

Namjoon looked around at the group, his eyes full of determination. "We need to think about this carefully. If what they say is true, then billions of lives are at stake like that girl said. We can't make this decision lightly."

Yoongi sighed, "What if we say yes and it turns out to be a mistake? But then, what if we say no and it turns out they really needed us?"

Hoseok ran a hand through his hair, clearly stressed. "Either way, we're stuck here for now. Maybe we should at least try to help, see what happens."

Jimin glanced at the door where the girls had left. "Do we even have a choice? They're expecting us to be their 'Guardians.' If we refuse... what happens then?"

"That's the thing," Namjoon said, his voice calm but firm. "We need more information. We need to understand what we're getting into. But at the same time, we can't just turn our backs if this is real. Let's hear them out, get the full picture."

Jungkook nodded in agreement. "We can't make a decision without knowing everything. Let's ask them more questions when they come back. We need to be sure about what we're dealing with."

"Right," Jin said, finally relenting. "We'll listen, but that doesn't mean we're agreeing to anything just yet."

As they all nodded in agreement, the tension in the room eased slightly.

After some time, the door creaked open, and the girls walked back in, their expressions neutral but expectant.

Jisoo looked at them, her gaze steady. "Have you made a decision?"

Namjoon stood up, speaking for the group. "We've talked, and we're willing to listen. But we have a lot of questions. We need to know everything before we make any decisions."

The girls exchanged a glance, then Jennie nodded. "Fair enough. We'll answer everything we can. Ask your questions," she said, as all four girls sat down in front of them.

The boys looked at each other, uncertain where to start. Finally, Jimin spoke up, asking the question that had been on all their minds. "You mentioned that a prophecy told you about guardians coming to save your world. How do you know it's us seven?"

Jisoo leaned forward slightly, her expression calm and serious. "Good question. In the prophecy, it was said that the guardians would bear a specific mark on their bodies, which would help us identify them. And all seven of you have that mark."

Namjoon, who had been sitting beside Jin, furrowed his brow. "What mark? What are you talking about?"

Jisoo continued, her voice steady. "Each of you has a mark in the shape of the number seven somewhere on your body. Namjoon, yours is on your ankle. Jin, yours is on your waist. Yoongi, yours is on your shoulder. Hoseok, yours is on your calf. Jimin, yours is on your finger. Taehyung, yours is on your leg. And Jungkook, yours is behind your ear."

All seven of them froze, eyes widening in disbelief. They had these marks, exactly as Jisoo described. It wasn't something they talked about often, but they knew it was true.

"How do you know about that?" Jin asked, his voice barely above a whisper, the shock evident on his face.

Jennie looked at them with a small, knowing smile. "The prophecy is very old, passed down for generations. It's said that the seven guardians would bear this mark as a sign of their destiny. When we saw you, we knew you were the ones."

"Destiny?" Yoongi repeated, shaking his head slightly. "This sounds like something out of a fantasy novel."

"It might sound that way," Rosé admitted, "but everything we've told you is real. The marks are proof that you were chosen, that you're meant to help us."

Hoseok looked around at the group, seeing the same confusion and shock mirrored on their faces. "So, we're just supposed to believe that because we have these marks, we're some kind of... guardians?"

"It's not just the marks," Lisa added gently. "It's everything you've seen since you arrived here. The world, the magic, the way you were brought here—all of it points to you being the guardians we've been waiting for."

Taehyung rubbed his hand over his face, trying to process everything. "This is insane. But at the same time... it feels like there's something more to all of this, something we haven't fully understood yet."

Jungkook nodded, still trying to wrap his mind around the idea. "If we really are these guardians, then what are we supposed to do? How are we supposed to protect this place? We are just normal college students"

Lisa leaned forward, her expression serious. "That's what we're here to explain. But first, we need you to believe in what you've seen, what you've felt since arriving here. Only then can we begin to show you how to use the abilities you've been given, and how to fulfil your roles as guardians."

Namjoon glanced at the others, seeing the same mixture of fear, disbelief, and curiosity on their faces. Finally, he nodded. "Alright. We'll listen. But you have to understand, this is a lot to take in. We need time to process all of this."

"Of course," Jisoo said, her tone understanding. "We don't expect you to accept everything right away. But we're here to guide you, to help you understand your purpose here."

Jin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I still can't believe this is happening... but if what you're saying is true, then we need to know everything."

The girls nodded, their expressions resolute. "We'll tell you everything you need to know," Rosé promised. "But remember, this isn't just about us. It's about the future of Lumina, and the role you're destined to play in it."

The boys nodded their heads. Suddenly the girls stood up, "Great. Then how about we show you the place you will be living from now on?" Rosé said.

All seven of them looked at each other and then at her. "We are going to live on your planet?" Jungkook asked, his voice betraying a hint of shock.

The girls nodded, "Of Course. You can't go back to earth and come back again and again,"

The boys exchanged uneasy glances, trying to digest what they'd just heard. They were going to live on this new planet, Lumina, indefinitely. The shock of it was still sinking in.

Hoseok was the first to voice his thoughts, "So, we're just supposed to leave everything behind? Our families, our friends... everything?"

Jennie stepped forward, her expression gentle but firm. "We understand this is a lot to take in. But your presence here is crucial. Lumina needs you. As for your families, they won't know you're gone. With our magic, we've created look-alikes who will continue living your lives on Earth. Your families and friends will see no difference."

Jungkook frowned, still feeling uneasy. "But what if something happens? What if we want to go back, even just for a little while?"

Jisoo shook her head slightly, offering him a reassuring smile. "The look-alikes are more than just copies. They'll have your memories, your personalities. They'll be able to handle anything that comes their way on Earth. And as for you... we're here to help you adjust, to make this transition as smooth as possible."

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair. "This is just... a lot. I mean, how are we supposed to just start living here like nothing happened?"

Lisa nodded in understanding. "We know it's not easy. But you're not alone in this. We're here to guide you, to help you every step of the way. And you'll have each other."

The boys fell silent, each lost in their thoughts. The idea of living on a different planet, away from everything they'd ever known, was overwhelming. But at the same time, there was a strange sense of purpose beginning to take root in their hearts—a feeling that maybe, just maybe, they were meant to be here.

After a long pause, Namjoon finally spoke up, his voice steady despite the uncertainty in his eyes. "Alright... Show us where we'll be staying. But understand, this is going to take time. We need to process all of this."

Rosé smiled warmly. "Of course. We'll take it one step at a time. Come on, let's go."

With that, the girls led the way out of the room, the boys following closely behind. As they walked through the grand corridors of the palace, the reality of their situation began to sink in.

This wasn't just a dream or some elaborate prank. This was their new life—a life filled with uncertainty, but also with a sense of destiny that none of them could ignore.
