Prolouge

Once, a princess fell in love with a deity. He was the Father of the Muneers. They bounded through the forest at night, shaking the leaves from the trees that never stopped growing. One night, the princess followed the fauna and met him. Dorin. The princess approached Dorin, professing her love from him. He strayed back, fearing the strange woman. She stopped, noticing that he was backing away. Angry, she charged and launched herself at him. She shrieked, demanding for him to explain why he didn't love her. Her shouts scared his children and in fear of what was happening, they stampeded. Dorin sheided the princess, but died in the process. She wept in sorrow, before noticing a pendant floating above his corpse. She took it back with her and made a memorial in his honor.

From then on, deities became more reclusive. They lived in forests, oceans, mountains, and caverns; they never came too close to the humans and kept their distance. The humans longed for them. For their gifts. For their protection. For their power. But they strayed away.

The humans begged for forgiveness. They worshiped the necklace and believed it heard their calls. Soon, they stopped wanting forgiveness and wanted the deities to grant them more blessings. They believed the trinket came from the death of the deities and it was their power held in a single pendant. They sought more to prove their strength and to provide for their lands.

"It's been a long time since we have heard of a deity, but they are still out there. You brave adventurers have the chance to find them and defeat them. You can become great."
