Chapter 9 'GAHHH'
Jellal POV
Her lips were soft like rose petals. Sweet like strawberries. But she seemed to have a kiss of death because the world slowly got darker and darker, until I fell into a deep slumber.
I awoke in the forest. Alone. Or that's what I thought, I slowly stood. Then I realised that I was on all fours. I was a deep blue with mixes of gold. Then I heard some faint rustling. Someone or something was behind me, something large wrapped it's tail around me. I turned around and...
"GAHH! ERZA! She was a little smaller than me and was smiling a little.
"Looks like someone is awake." She stated smugly.
"DONT EVER DO THAT EVER AGAIN!"
"Sorry, I couldn't leave you to transform in your room, you'd probably freak out the maids, they cannot see me, but they can see you." I sweat dropped. Then I had an idea, I knew my little strawberry very well.
I smirked deviously. She noticed and seemed to blush deeply, hard to tell WHEN HER FACE IS ALREADY RED.
"Why don't we go for a long fly, you could tell me how you really feel about me." I winked for effect. It worked. She fainted, immediately reverting back into her human form. I chuckled. I lifted her gently, holding her seemingly delicate body with great care. Hah that must have been how she felt, her tiny body rested in my palm. I clutched her carefully, look, I knew she was immortal, but still. Immortals still felt love, pain, sadness, agony, depression, everything we do, except when we are subjected to to much, we don't have the sweet relief of death, no. We are forced to endure it for however long the thing that is causing it is there. One of the many drawbacks of immortality. I gently licked her face.
I was soaring above the clouds, learning how my wings worked quite quickly, I had a sudden urge to fly, higher. Was this because of my element? A deeper reason? Both? I didn't care, i kept on climbing in altitude. Cutting through clouds with my enormous wings. Erza had awoken by then and lept out of my grasp, I saw her plummet. I panicked and dived after her, yet she disappeared into the under clouds.
Seconds later, a huge red figure shot through the white cover, hr graceful wings propelling her forward, she zoomed ahead of me. We raced until we were past the 8th layer of clouds. She was winning, we were neck and neck as we almost reached cloud 9. As we shot through, Erza stopped. I zoomed past, then confused, I went back. She beckoned for me to follow.
I did. She led me to the top of the layer, I saw a magnificent sight.
