Kongpob's Pov---------

When Arthit opened the door to greet our guests, I was amazed at the collection of beautiful vampires that were gathered on my porch. A woman and two men stood there, smiling at us both. The woman standing at the front of the group was truly stunning. Her shiny blonde hair was gathered loosely on top of her head, with tendrils curling softly against her alabaster cheeks. Her smile was wide, showing her perfect teeth. I thought I saw her mouth move, she was saying something but I couldn't hear a word.

Arthit stepped slightly in front of me in a protective stance.

“Hina, Jenny called and said that you guys would be dropping by. How nice to see you all !! Won’t you come in ??”

Arthit was pulling me behind him with our clasped hands as he reached around me and swung the door wider.

So... this was Hina, the one that Arthit had warned me about. She certainly demanded attention by her very presence. I can catch Vibes of a highly sexual and volatile personality behind her lovely smile. Even without Arthit’s warning, I would have been very careful around this woman. She reminded me of some of the models and actresses that I had met during the past couple of years. They had been hungry for conquests. This vampire exuded that same feeling, but magnified by about a thousand folds.

Hina was looking me up and down as she greeted Arthit and me. My intuition told me that Jenny had been right about her infatuation with me.

“Arthit…how nice to see you again !! Tootah was so surprised when he ran across your….. I mean when we realized that you were here in Oregon. We just felt that we should stop in and say, Hi... to you before leaving the town”

Apparently they didn’t know how much I knew about them and Hina had just tried to cover up the words 'Your scent' to not to alarm me.

She was looking at Arthit while talking to him but there was something pushing at my mind, something that made me uncomfortable. I tightened my grip on Arthit’s cool hand.

“And who is HE by the way ??”

Hina stepped closer and held her hand out to me.

“Hina, this is Kongpob, And This is, His house”

I didn’t want to let Arthit’s hand go to shake Hina’s, but manners called for me to do so. She appeared surprised that I didn’t shy away from the coolness and firmness of her hand. Her grip on my hand was strong as she drew me forward and away from Arthit, under the guise of introducing me to the rest of the group.

“Kongpob.....”

She said.

“How nice to meet you, any friend of Arthit’s must surely be our friend too. This is my brother Harry and his Ma... I mean his Husband Tootah”

The two men came forward and shook my hand. All the while she kept her hand on me and before I knew it I was in the middle of them, with Arthit outside the circle.

I realized that a cloud of lust was slowly filling my mind and beginning to affect my body. It was not the clean, pure feeling that I had just experienced with Arthit. It was much baser and I didn’t like it at all.

They were all speaking, asking where Me and Arthit had met each other, but I was having a hard time comprehending their words with my mind becoming more clouded by every passing moment.

This was what... Jenny had been worried about, what Arthit had warned me about…

Arthit…That’s what I needed to focus on. Arthit and his love for me…Arthit and my love for him. This other feeling was just insignificant, no matter that it was being forced on me by the stunning creature at my side. Just as I realized that I could actually push that feeling away from me, almost like it was solid…all of the lust left me when Arthit had pushed his strong hand in my clammy Palms. With a smile at them all, I stepped away from Hina and backed, closer to Arthit. I clenched his shirt at his waist in my fingers and he turned and smiled at me, dropping a light kiss on the top of my head.

The shock of the three vampires was almost palpable. Hina’s mouth actually opened and closed a time or two as Arthit’s laugh rang out, clear and musical. He pulled and brought my uninjured arm up and crossed it on his waist, then he put his own hand on top of mine.

“You have come at a good time, friends, Jenny and Bright will be here by dawn. I know that they will be glad to see you again”

He cocked his head to my side and gave me a light kiss on the cheek before turning back to our guests.

“Come on into the living room and tell us what brings you down to the Oregon”

Arthit and I sat on the small couch while our guests situated themselves around the spacious room. There was some general conversation about why they were in the neighborhood, but I sensed that another conversation was being carried out beyond my hearing. They were probably confused and concerned over what I knew and didn’t know about who they were. Arthit’s hand was firmly placed in my own and I couldn’t feel that woman's influence on me anymore.

I thought about leaving the room for a moment, to let them speak freely. But they were probably speaking freely anyway. The thought made me laugh to myself. I must have made some sound because suddenly all eyes were on me.

“So…Kongpob, do you find our conversation funny ??”

Hina asked. There was a calculating gleam in her onex eyes.

Deciding to chat up the big elephant in the room I spoke up....

“No, Hina, I don’t find the conversation amusing, since I am only hearing about half of what’s going on here anyway”

Again, there was that moment of total shock from each of the assembled vampires.

Again, Arthit’s laugh rang out and he leaned over and gave me quick kiss on my cheek.

“Kongpob, you are right”

He confessed.

“My friends were just questioning how we met and just what exactly you know”

I looked over to our guests. Their smiles had mostly disappeared, all except Tootah’s. His smile was wider than ever.

“Oh Arthit.... it’s been a long time coming for you. But you have found your mate, haven’t you ??”

He looked back and forth between our smiling faces.

The label he had just assigned to me gave me a thrill that nearly rivaled that moment when me and Arthit had declared our feelings for each other.

His mate…I was Arthit’s mate. The truth of that statement filled me with awe. That’s exactly what he was to me too. He was the other half of me, the better half…he was the SUN gor me, and I was his moon.

His mate…

I turned to look into the glowing eyes of my mate. His face was twinkling with love, with love for me and I couldn’t drag my eyes away. He leaned towards me and cupped my cheek in hid hand. 

"Yes, Tootah…Kongpob is my mate"

The sincerity and strength of his statement pulled a response from me like none other. I know all the vampires present could hear my heart race, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was Arthit's smiling face before me…  Before I could truly enjoy the view, a cacophony of sound hit my ears. Our guests, with the exception of Tootah, were suddenly yelling out statements and questions. 

"What are you saying Arthit ?!" 

"But he is a human !!" 

"You can't be serious !!" 

"How could you tell him before changing him ??" 

"Are you crazy ??" 

"What if he disclosed your identity to the human world ??" 

When that last question was shouted by Harry all other noise stopped. Everyone except Arthit looked at each other in varying stages of shock.

"Arthit I would never do that.... Trust me...."

I whispered to Arthit. 

Arthit gave my hand a reassuring squeeze before he addressed the others, his glance sharp.

"First, it's not any of your business what I do with my life"

Arthit glared at them all.

"Second, I trust Kongpob with my secret, completely....... And, yes, I am Crazy…crazy in love with him"

With that he grinned from ear to ear as he leaned forward and kissed me lightly on the lips. Tootah laughed loud and hard. After a moment Harry joined in. Only Hina was still acting upset.    

"Just how did you two meet ??"

Harry asked, still chuckling, his own fingers twined with his mate's.    

"Kongpob hired us to find a stalker that was getting quite aggressive"

Arthit answered. 

"Oh !!"

Exclaimed Hina.

"You are KONGPOB SUTHILUCK, The Rockstar, the one that was kidnapped a few weeks ago"

She smirked over at Arthit,

"Guess you didn't do such a good job, hun, Arthit ??" 

I was immediately annoyed with Hina and got to my feet to face her where she was standing beside the fireplace.

"As a matter of fact, Arthit and his family did an excellent job of rescuing me and saving me from a couple of lunatics"

I stepped closer to the wench. It didn't even occur to me that I was facing down someone that could kill me in a matter of moments. She had been snide to Arthit and I wouldn't stand for it in our own home.

Wait ?? What did I just think ??

Our own home…that had a nice ring to it.... I would have to think more on that later. 

I was glaring down into Hina's stunned face, just realizing what I was truly facing, when suddenly her face broke into a huge grin. 

"Arthit, this man has some fire. You are going to have your hands full with him. He is not an ordinary human, that's for sure"

Then she stunned me further by reaching out and hugging me gently before stepping back to her place by the fireplace. 

Arthit's arm was around my waist in an instant and I looked up into his smiling face.

"Yes, he has fire in him, that's for sure"

He reached down and I gladly lifted my face to kiss his soft lips.

Arthit's POV------

After Kongpob stood up to Hina, the rest of the evening passed with general conversation. They were on their way to the wedding of two of their friends in South Korea. They had run across my scent and were curious as to why I was in Oregon.  Our conversation eventually got back to the topic of Mates. 

"Arthit... How are you being able to refrain yourself from claiming your mate..... Specially when he is this close to you ??"

Hina asked looking at me and Kong sitting so close with him leaning on my side and me holding him securely into my arms.

"You know the answer Hina..... He is a human.... And... I can't risk his life"

Kong looked at me with questioning eyes but I just ignored him for the time being, I wanted to talk to him about these things in privacy of our room.

"But Arthit..... You need to change him... to be with him for the rest of your life"

Harry stated the well known fact to me.

"I know that Harry, and I will talk about all this, with my mate and my family soon.....but right now my first priority is his health and his full recovery. We will discuss the future possibilities in due time"

Tootah smiled at me

"You didn't changed a bit Arthit.... Still a overthinker !!"

I nodded my head on his words and turned to look into Kongpob's face. He was smiling, but a small furrow appeared on his brow. I had only seen that when he was in pain before. His eyes were resting on Hina and I intercepted a swift glance from her. I immediately pulled Kongpob closer into my arms. 

"Hina !! Stop that right now...."

I admonished her with a growl.  She just laughed and said

"Hey, He is hot... !! and you can't blame a girl for trying" 

"Oh yes, I can !!"

I glared at her.

"Kongpob is MY Mate...... And I will rip you apart.... limb from limb, if you tried to play with him. Keep that as an imprint in your poaching mind  !!"

That actually wiped the smile off of Hina's face. But she didn't looked remorse full.

I noticed Kongpob trying to hide a yawn. He was human and it was well after 2 a.m. Even though he was getting much better, He was still recuperating. Giving him a smile, I urged him to his feet. 

"You guys make yourselves at home. There are a couple of guest rooms on this floor and the bathrooms all have fresh towels in them"

We moved towards the stairs.

"I will see you guys in the morning" 

I stopped beside Tootah

"Thank you for this visit Toots, I really missed you" 

He smiled at me and hugged me tight.

"I missed you too Arthit and I am truly happy for you"

I nodded at him and we made our way up the stairs to Kongpob's bedroom, our fingers lightly entwined. As the door closed behind us, He turned to me and asked

"Mates ?? As in soulmates...!! Like I am born for you..... It means you were waiting for me since all those years... And what were they talking about... Claiming ??"

"Kongpob, it's true that you are my mate and I was waiting for you from last 360 years...... you made me wait for so long..... But you are here now and that's what matters the most to me. But can we talk about this later..... You need to rest now, you are still recovering from your injuries"

I was looking at him intently as he processed my words.

"In fact, I actually want to wait until my friends are gone"

I heard a snort from the bedroom, downstairs and I rolled my eyes.  Leaning very close, I whispered very quietly in his ear

"I would rather, it just be You and Me, to discusses these things. You know that they....."

I pointed towards the door,

"Can hear every word that we say here out loud ??"

I could see that he was about to demand the answers anyway. To delay an outburst from him I pulled him to me and kissed him hard on the lips, he was shocked initially but responded soon and I could tell that he was now nearly overwhelmed with the love I was trying to pore into that kiss. As we pulled apart, we smiled at each other and he nodded his agreement to my plan. He stepped into the bathroom to change into the flannel pajamas that he had taken to wearing to sleep in. I had to convince him to wear a shirt at night…he just got too cold in my freezing arms if he sleeps half naked. 

We slipped into the bed together and he immediately snuggled close to my chest. A sigh left me. This was home, here... where my love is in my arms. There was a lot to discuss, but right this minute all that mattered was that we were together. 

"I like the fact that I am your Mate"

He drew back so that he could look into my face.

"You know, it's not like I didn't feel connected to you before but Now.... now I feel that I truly belongs to you. I love you so much Arthit" 

"I love you too Kongpob....you just have no idea how much !!"

We both knew that he needed to sleep, but we couldn't keep from kissing, for just a while longer. The new togetherness, with the truth of us being each others mates, made the kisses sweeter…and our connection stronger. We were both panting when we put a bit of space between us. I leaned closer and whispered in his ear very quietly

"As much as I would like to take this farther, I would really rather not... with the audience that we currently have" 

He laughed and gave me a quick peck on my lips

"I have to agree with you on this. I need to get some sleep, Jenny and Bright will be here soon, and I am so excited to meet them" 

He snuggled closer and soon fell asleep, his warm breath in the crook of my neck, The sound of his heart beat and his regular breathing was the most beautiful music and I just lay there enjoying it for a long time. I could hear Tootah and Harry were talking in the guest room downstairs. They were discussing the potential of Kongpob being turned into a vampire, they were planning to visit us soon at our house in Bangkok.

We would be heading back to Bangkok in the next month anyway, so that Kongpob could be in town when May had the baby. We did have things to discuss and we would be open about it. He needed to know all the pros and cons of being a vampire. There were both the sides to consider and I would be sure to lay the full picture out. He had to know everything before he could make a decision. I know that I want to be with him forever and the only way would be, to change him. But that had to be his informed decision. If he chose to remain human, I would stay with him until the end of what I hoped would be a very long life. And then I would find a way to follow him in death. I couldn't imagine my life without him by my side. But I would let the decision be his. 

Gathering him tightly into my arms, I settled down to wait for Jenny and Bright to arrive. It would be great to see them again. Sighing, I breathed in the aroma that was Kongpob, so warm and lovely. For now I would take Jenny's advice and I would just be happy in the moment, laying here with Kongpob in my arms. His human heart rapidly beating against my slower Vampire one.

His warmth melting my Frost.

A/N: I am sorry for the late update, but I wasn't feeling well from last few days. I am still not at my best....but I wrote this to distract myself from all the anxiety and stress around me. I don't know if this chapter was good enough but I tried my best. I hope you will like it.
