Kongpob's Pov---------

Time- 1660

A month has gone by since Arthit’s birthday, it seemed to go by too fast. During the week, Arthit went to work with his father. I wouldn’t see him until dinner time. I missed seeing him at day. I kept myself busy in the library most of the day.

A few evenings a week, Arthit and I would sit in the gazebo after dinner and just talk. When we were alone together he often appeared nervous. A few times it would look like he was about to say something and then stop. He was up to something, I just wasn’t sure what.

He had also ‘stolen’ a couple more kisses. Much to my amusement.

On the weekends, Arthit and I would spend it mostly together. On Saturdays, we usually got together with Millie and Thomas. So far we have had picnics, walks and lunch dates.

On Sundays, after church services, we would spend with his family. Noor and Knott even stopped by one rainy afternoon and he and Arthit played a game of Chess, while me and Noor were chatting. They seemed to be getting along well, not that I was too surprised with the relationship I knew they would have in the future.

It was now a Saturday, late in July. The day was overcast but not raining. Millie and Thomas were visiting at the Rojnapat's house and it was now after lunch and we were playing badminton in the backyard. Well attempting anyways. Arthit was doing most the work for our side. Because I couldn't play well....

Why ?? Because, playing bad did have some perks.

“Hold the racket like this”

Arthit was instructing me. He was standing behind me and trying to teach me how to swing. One of his hands covered mine, the other was on my hip.

“Now swing like this. Make sure you follow through”

Arthit guided me through a couple of swings. I was enjoying his tutoring. I tried not to visibly pout when he stepped away.

When Arthit stepped towards the back, Thomas nodded his head and he served the birdie. The birdie was batted back and forth about four times before it headed to me. I managed to hit it. It went over the net and landed before either opponent could reach it.

“I did it”

I squealed. Arthit beamed at me.

“Well done, Kong”

He smiled than gave me a flying kiss.

He took the birdie to serve. My excitement was short lived though. When I attempted to get the birdie after Millie sent it back, I tripped and twisted my ankle after hitting the birdie wildly. I hit the ground, dropping the racket and grabbed my ankle hissing in pain.

“Kong, are you alright ??”

Arthit was immediately by my side looking very worried.

I shook my head, biting my lip, trying to control myself from yelling out.

“It looked like he turned his left ankle”

Millie was at my other side.

“What can I do for you ??”

Arthit looked like he wanted to examine it himself, but was afraid of hurting me further.

“It will be fine. I should just rest it.”

Knowing that it was most likely a sprain, I wasn't worried much.

“Kong, I think we should get a doctor. You look like you are in a lot of pain”

Millie was trying to convince me. Before I could say anything the backdoor opened and Maria came out carrying a tray. Behind her was Noor and Knott. I sighed inwardly, realizing she most likely had foreseen this.

“I brought more company with me”

She smiled and then looked at me on the ground.

“Oh dear boy, what happened ??”

Her voice sounded slightly fake. I think Arthit caught it too because he raised an eyebrow at her.

“Kong hurt his ankle while playing,”

Arthit explained.

“Well, it seems our impromptu visit was a sign that I was meant to be here”

Noor chuckled.

“Yes, your timing could not be better, cousin.”

I tried to hide my smirk. Noor’s lip twitched as she knelt down next to me.

“Millie and Mr. Thomas, this is my cousin, Dr. Noor Thaklam and her husband Mr. Knott Thaklam. And Cousin, this is Miss Millie and Mr. Thomas”

Thomas and Knott, Noor and Millie quickly exchanged pleasantries. Noor then gently lifted my foot and removed the shoe. She started to look at my ankle.

“I am sure it is just sprained”

I tried not to grimace.

“I was not aware that you were a doctor cousin ??”

Noor grinned amusingly. She stopped moving my ankle but her cold hand felt good on my already swollen ankle.

“Well, I think you are right. It looks like a sprain. Maria, could you please get me some ice and a glass of water ??”

Noor asked her. She placed the tray down in the gazebo.

“Yes, doctor”

She answered.

“I will help you”

Millie got to her feet and followed her into the house.

“Arthit, can you move Kong to the gazebo ??”

Noor asked.

“Certainly”

Arthit let go off my hand and scooped me up in his arms. I felt a blush heat my cheeks with our close proximity. He carried me gently, trying not to jostle me and placed me carefully down on the bench inside. Noor moved to the end of the bench by my foot and started wrapping it with the material she pulled out from her bag. By the time she finished wrapping it, Millie reappeared with some ice and water. Knott, Arthit and Thomas were in the yard talking. Their backs were to me. Noor placed the ice gently on my ankle. She then pulled a packet of powder out of her bag and mixed it with water.

"Drink this. It will help with the swelling and pain,"

She instructed. I took the glass and drank it down.

"Kong are you okay ??"

Millie asked as she looked at me.

"Yeah I am fine, don't worry my cousin here is the best Dr in world"

I replied with a wink at Noor.

"Would you like to play with us Mr. Knott ??"

Arthit asked coming up to the gazebo steps.

"I have not played in a long time."

Knott chuckled.

"I am sure you will be a better teammate for Arthit then I was"

I smirked.

"Well, if you are willing to have me, I will give it a try."

Knott replied as Noor closed her bag.

"Have a game with us then"

Arthit smiled then turned to me.

"Will you be comfortable here ?? Do you need anything ??"

"I will fine, Noor is here with me, but thank you for asking"

I smiled. I shifted my self slightly so I can watch them play. Noor turned to me.

"I want you to stay off that foot until the swelling has gone down"

She ordered.

"I will be good... Promise"

I promised. For the next half an hour, they all played. Arthit and Knott quickly fell into a groove. They played well with one another and soon won the game.

Afterwards, we had the lemonade and cookies that Maria had brought out. The boys, other than me, moved to the yard to talk. It looked like that they were talking about something very important and serious too, they looked tensed and worried.  I turned my attention to Millie, who was being quiet.

"Is everything alright, Millie ??"

I asked cautiously.

"No, but I do not want to trouble you when you already hurt"

She said softly.

"It will not be any trouble to hear what is bothering you"

I answered. She wrung her hands nervously before speaking.

"Thomas and I are leaving. We are going to elope and move to somewhere far away"

She spoke quietly.

"Why ??"

I gasped in surprise.

"My Aunt and Uncle wish for us to call off the engagement. They want me to marry a rich man for their benifit in buisness. Thomas was let go from the firm yesterday. We are going to leave as soon as possible."

Millie's lower lip trembled.

"Millie, I am so sorry"

I was really sad.

"Please, do not say sorry.... But Kong please be alert, I... No I mean Thomas think that Arthit's Father is making an agreement with a rich and powerful man for him too. He heard the name of Mr. Anderson"

Millie gave me a sad smile.

"WHAT !!"

I was shocked, realizing things are going to change very soon.

"Mr. Anderson is a very very rich man. But he isn't a man of good virtues, He is almost double Arthit's age and had been married there times already. Save Arthit from that Man and please be careful of yourself too. I am really sorry but we won't be able to help you in any way because we are going to leave tomorrow, while the family is at church. I am going to pretend to have a headache, so that they will leave me behind"

"So, today you came for a good-bye ??"

I try not to show her how disturbed I was from the mention of Mr. Anderson.

"Yes, I guess it's a goodbye. When we get settled at a better place, I will write to let you know how we are"

Millie promised. Thomas approached the gazebo at that moment.

"We should get going now"

He looked somewhat relived after talking to Arthit.

"I am coming too"

Millie got up.

"Take care of yourself Kongpob"

"Good-bye, Millie. I wish you both a wonderful life ahead"

I whispered softly. She nodded.

"Kongpob, it has been a pleasure knowing you"

Thomas shook hands with me.

"Thank you, Thomas I hope we will meet again in the future"

I smiled.

"We have to be going as well. I am working tonight. But...Stay off that foot"

Noor gave me a stern look.

"I will. Thank you for everything, Noor. I hope to see you both again soon"

I smiled at both of them.

"I am counting on you to make sure she stays off that foot"

Knott held his hand out towards Arthit.

"I will. You have my word"

Arthit shook his hand. The small group left by the side yard. As Arthit was picking up the equipment, I stood to take the tray in the house. I was careful not to put any weight on my injured foot.

"What are you doing ??"

Arthit was suddenly next to me.

"I am helping to clean up"

I placed the tray back down.

"Maria can get that. You are not supposed to be on your foot"

Arthit picked me up.

"Arthit, put me down..."

I crossed my arms.

"I am sorry, sweetheart. I promised your cousin and Knott that you would stay off that foot"

Arthit gave me a sympathetic smile.

"You can not carry me around the whole time"

I tried to get down, but he tightened his grip.

"That sounds like a challenge..."

He chuckled as he started to carry me to the house. With his brisk movement I had to wrap my arms around his neck to steady myself, which only made Arthit smile more. I gave up on fighting him and kissed his cheek.

The next morning on Sunday, I stayed home, resting my ankle at Mrs. Rojnapat's insistence. Arthit offered to stay home with me, incase I needed anything. After some reluctance from Mr. Rojnapat , they finally agreed and headed to church leaving us at home. I was sitting in the library reading when Arthit appeared in the doorway.

"Will you be alright here, if I go run a quick errand ??"

He looked very nervous. My curiosity was instantly up.

"Where are you going ??"

I asked, closing the book and putting it on my lap.

"Umm, I left something at the father's office. I have to go get it"

I could tell he was lying through his teeth.

"Take me with you. I could use some fresh air"

I insisted. I watched as Arthit squirmed slightly. He ran his hand through his hair before answering.

"I think it will be best if you stay here"

He didn't quite meet my eyes. I started to get upset, not only was he lying but he was pushing me away.

"So, if you don't need anything, I will be going."

Arthit started to turn for the door.

"Just one thing, Arthit"

I called after him. He hesitated and turned.

"Why are you lying to me ??"

I asked softly. Arthit froze. His whole faced showed his guilt before he covered it up.

"I am not, Kong."

He looked everywhere but at me.

"Yes, you are Arthit, I can read you like an open book"

I waved my book at him and reopened it. I chose to ignore him after that.

"Kong…"

His voice sounded apologetic. I didn't look up as I interrupted him.

"Just go Arthit, if you are going"

My voice was barley above a whisper. My Arthit never lies to me in future.... Now, his lies stung.  I felt him crouch by my side. He took the book from my hands. I looked up at him and his face looked sad.

"I am sorry. If I could tell you, I would. Please, do not be mad"

When I did not answer he pinched the bridge of his nose. I felt guilty, it is not his fault his vampire self was different in the future.

"I am not mad. Go. I will be fine"

I gave him a small smile. He gave me a relieved smile.

"I love you, my sweetheart"

He gave me quick chaste kiss.

"I love you, too"

I sighed. He stood and turned to leave. That is when it dawned on me what was going on.

"Are you helping Millie and Thomas ??"

I asked softly. Arthit turned to me and his red face told me all I wanted to know.

"She told me yesterday, what they are going to do today"

I told him and His shoulders relaxed.

"Yes, I am going to help them"

He answered. I nodded then stood up.

"Please, take me with you so I can say my good-bye to them too"

I started to hobble to him. He reached out to stop me.

"I am not sure if that is a good idea in your current condition Kong..."

He supported my weight.

"I think it is. It would not be as suspicious if I was with you. People will be thinking we are on a group outing rather than you driving them somewhere"

I pleaded, giving him the puppy dog look. His face softened.

"Okay... You can come"

He picked me up to carry me out to the carriage. twenty minuets later we were outside Millie's house. She and Thomas were sitting on the front steps. They started walking to the carriage as soon as they saw us. Arthit got out and met them halfway, taking the second suitcase that Thomas was carrying. He helped him secure it in the back of the carriage, before he opened the door for Millie. She slid in and squealed when she saw me.

"Kong, you came...."

Her eyes looked red from crying.

"I wanted to say good-bye"

I told her as I reached for her hand and gave it a little squeeze.

"Thank you Kong. It is nice to see a friendly face before leaving"

She smiled and sat back in the seat as Arthit started to drive away.  A nervous looking Thomas sat beside Millie. He kept bouncing his knee and tapping his fingers on the seat. Millie reached over and grabbed his hand to calm him.

"Arthit, thank you for all your help"

Thomas spoke as we approached the station.

"You are quite welcome Thomas. I am glad I could be of some help"

Arthit answered politely as he found a parking spot. Arthit got out and got their suitcases, while Thomas opened Millie's door. I stood on one foot to say good-bye.

"Thank you Kong. I will write you as soon as we are settled."

Millie said.

"Take care, both of you."

I told her. Thomas held his hand out to me next.

"It was a pleasure to have met you, Kongpob. Take care of Arthit and yourself.... And, Please be careful, sometimes things are more dreadful than they look"

I took his hand to shake it.

"It was a pleasure meeting you as well. Best wishes for your future. And thanks for the advice, I will be careful, Thomas"

I responded. Thomas grabbed both suitcases from Arthit. He nodded his head and started for the station. Millie gave a wave and followed behind him.

Arthit turned back to the carriage and opened the door for me to get in. He helped me in so I did not place any pressure on my injured foot. He waited until I was settled before closing the door and drove away. I watched out the window, but did not say anything. Arthit seemed very quiet too. When I noticed that we were passing the house I spoke up.

"Where are we going Arthit ??"

I looked out to face him.

"I wanted to go for a short drive. Is that okay ??"

He asked. For some reason he seemed nervous.

"That is fine"

I answered. Shortly after that he pulled to the side of the road. He hopped out and came to my side. He opened the door for me and helped me out.

"Can your ankle handle a short walk ??"

Arthit asked.

"I can handle a short one"

I nodded. Arthit held my hand and he walked slowly so I could limp along holding his arm. We came to a stop at the street corner.

"What is going on ??"

I asked. Looking around I could see we are standing on a corner not far from where we normally walk to the park.

"This is the left side turn of the city church road "

Arthit told me.

"I know, but why are we standing at a street corner ??"

I raised my eyes to look at him. I could not understand why he was so nervous.

"This is where we first met Kong. I ran into you at this very spot. I still feel amazed about it. I swear it seemed you appeared out of thin air"

Arthit smiled softly.

"Please, do not fret yourself Arthit. It was our fate to let us meet like that"

I smiled back. I expected Arthit to smile, but he did not. Instead, he ran his hand through his hair. With one swift movement he was on one knee before me. My heart flipped and flopped. I was not sure what to do. On one hand I knew this human Arthit obviously loves me and I love him a lot too. But I wanted to take the most important step of my life, like proposal or marriage, With my vampire Arthit, who knows the real me. Although, I knew a very little time left before Mr. Anderson gets into the picture. We would never be able to get married in that time frame.

Then what happens when I go back to the future ??

Will Arthit remember this and be upset with me to not telling him everything even at this moment.

I cursed my inner monologue when I realized Arthit has not even spoken yet. Maybe I suspected wrong. Maybe he just needed to tie his shoelaces. He wasn't looking at me, but at his feet. In fact, he was not moving at all.

"Arthit, are you alright ??"

I asked growing concerned by his behavior. His eyes shot up to meet mine and he gave me a brief nod. He ran his hand through his hair and opened and shut his mouth a few times. His face was pale and his brow was starting to sweat a bit.

"Arthit, just say what you need to say"

His hand was shaking slightly as he took my left hand in his.

"Kongpob Prachaya Suthiluck, will you marry me ??"

He looked up at me with eyes full of love and devotion. My heart swelled and I realized I could not deny him, maybe I have been in this time for too long. Mostly, I was afraid of breaking his heart if I said NO.

"Yes...."

I answered. My face broke out into a smile. Arthit let out a sigh of relief and a smile started to grace his face. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black velvet box. He slowly opened it to show me what is inside. The ring rested on a satin bed. The band was silver. Instead of a diamond in the center, there was a sapphire. It was simple but elegant.

"The ring is beautiful, Arthit. Will you place it on me, please ??"

I bit my lip. I was a bit nervous.

"It would be my pleasure my love"

Arthit removed the ring from the box and placed it on my finger. I turned my hand to watch the ring sparkle in the sunlight. Arthit placed a kiss on my hand before standing. He was smiling, but looked a little sheepish.

"I am sorry Kong, I meant to do that better. I had a whole speech prepare, but I could not get the words out somehow"

He started to ramble. I placed my now ringed hand on his cheek to calm him down.

"Arthit, you have nothing to apologize for"

He turned his head and kissed my open palm.

"I love you, my sweetheart. Thank you for agreeing to marry me"

Arthit was beaming now.

"I love you too Arthit"

He gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

After few minutes Arthit led me to the carriage gently and slowly, before hurrying to his side.

"Are you going to tell your father??"

His smile faltered a bit.

"He is going to be upset, right ??"

I bit my lip.

"No, not my father but mother knows that I was intending to ask you soon. Mother helped me pick out the ring. She will be happy for us, I am sure of it"

Arthit reached over and held my hand.

"I hope you do not mind, but I had asked Noor for your hand in marriage. She told me that they both could only give their blessing, but the decision rested solely with you"

Arthit seemed a bit hesitant towards the end.

"That was nice of her"

I replied, enjoying holding Arthit's hand like this without having to let go. Arthit seemed immediately relived that I was not upset. He went to continued to drive us home with a big smile on his face.

Arthit's POV------

Time - 2022

The steady beeps of the machines filled the room. Of all the sounds, I was most conscious of was Kong’s steady breathing and his heartbeat. I have hardly left his side since he was shifted into this VIP room, few days ago.

The memories I was receiving were now in July. So, figuring a day and half or so for a month when he was there, at this rate, he should be waking up in next three days.

The memories varied on different levels. But, then, when does anything ever go smoothly with me and Kong. I had gotten drunk at my celebration and I started to act a little ungentlemanly towards Kong, but he did not seem to mind. In fact he looked like he was quite amused and was enjoying it. I can’t believe I pinched him on his butt. I did, however, enjoy dancing with Kong.

I was mortified that I had tried to play Romeo, miserably too, falling off the balcony. However, my human half would have done it again to get a kiss from Kong. I didn’t know if I was foolish or just plain stupid. Kong looked less then pleased with me for that stunt. He thought I was going to get myself hurt and I did. I touched my nose subconsciously.

The next morning, when he took care of me, I remember waking up feeling hung-over and in pain due to me nose. My human self was bold to try and kiss Kong, again. He was conflicted about taking advantage of him and finding it hard to resist the pull towards the beautiful boy. To his relief, but not to my surprise, Kong did not mind. Kong had always wanted to push the limits of our relationship and I had resisted. I do not think he would ever know how hard I had to fight my control. How I wanted to give him those things but had to hold back because of his oh so sweet blood, I was jealous that my human self could have that intimacy with him.

The memory of my birthday brought back my wish that human food would still taste good to us. My sweet Kong seemed to enjoy cooking for me. My human self was whipped for it. My last birthday had its ups and downs. My father made me upset yet again but Kong was my ray of sunshine, trying to cheer me up through my gloomy mood. I smiled at the memory of my Rockstar playing the piano for me. I think that was the best birthday gift.

His very first performance for me only.

The day got better for awhile. Kong was trying his best to make me happy. We were laughing and enjoying each others company. But then Kong got hurt while riding the horse and I flinched at the memory.

That event did mark two pleasanter things. First, I told Kong that I loved him. However, it was while I was ranting. I had planned on telling him with a song. A bit cheesy, but better than just blurting it out like I did. And the second one when, He had told me that he loved me too.

I had chuckled when I asked Noor for the permission. I remember how nervous I was to ask her. I did not want to mess it up. when I admitted I loved him to my mother, she was really happy for us. My mother went with me to pick out a ring for Kong. She was excited for me and couldn’t wait for us to be married. She was looking forward to see me having a happy family life. I let out a sigh of frustration knowing that she would never get to see that.

I changed my concentration instead to the memories I was received lately, group outings with a couple that had become our friends. All those memories were very pleasant.

I stood, pulling the blanket back from Kong.I lifted his right leg to perform stretches to circulate the blood flow. I knew that it was not entirely necessary. He had only been in a coma for a few days. But, I didn’t want him to be stiff and sore from lack of use when he finally woke up. After the right leg, I move the left. It was when I was performing stretches on the left leg that I got a new memory.

We were playing badminton in my parent’s yard. I had just finished teaching Kong how to swing better, when not long after he sprained his ankle. I am sure it was not coincidence that Noor showed up right after. While she was helping Kong, Thomas was asking me for help, getting to the train station. He and Millie were eloping.

Before the memory could go any further the door opened and my family started to enter. I quickly covered Kong, again.

"Shia.... bro, exactly what are you doing to Kong ??"

Bright asked with a sly smile.

“I was exercising his legs so his muscles won’t get stiff and to improve the blood circulation”

I glared at him. Jenny went to Kong’s opposite side and took Kong’s hand. Her eyes scanned Kong, looking worried.

“He will wake up in... Probably another three days, if I am getting the memories about the same time he is there”

I tell them. Knott looked at me next.

“What was the last memory you received ??”

“It was late July and Kong just sprained his ankle playing badminton, You and Noor were there too”

I told him. Noor looked thoughtful.

“Poor Kong, He is so accident prone... Always getting hurt one way or another ”

Jenny sighed.

“I think Kong has had plenty of chances of being carried by Arthit in his strong arms”

Bright snickered. Jenny was standing next to him and smacked him in the back of the head.

“That was tasteless”

“Sorry, just trying to get everyone to laugh,”

Bright huffed.

“Kong would have laughed,”

He mumbled.

“Kong getting hurt is not a laughing matter”

Noor scolded.

“Plus, Kong wouldn’t have laughed, he would have sulked...”

Prem snickered. He earned a few chuckles from the others.

"I planned to ask him to marry me"

I told my family and everyone was looking at me with wide eyes.

"Tell me that you didn't screw up the marriage plans with your overthinking ...??"

Jenny asked with a raised brow at me.

"Hey Arthit.... Is it possible that you and Kong got married in the past and that was why, when you met him in this time, you were able to feel the mating pull at full force inspite of him being a human"

Bright asked with an amused expression.

My heart skipped a beat at this possibility. But I tried to ignore what I have just listened and turned to Knott.

“Knott, do you know what happened to Thomas and Millie ??”

I asked.

“They settled here in Thailand and had a good life together, Your assistant Angela is their descendent”

Knott smiled, and I was so shocked at the information. World indeed is a small place. Kong would be really happy to know about that. I looked down at my angel. He looked as if he could just be asleep.

After everything, he had agreed to marry me. My slow beating heart felt like it wanted to beat faster. I started to pray that Jenny was not right and I did not screw up. My mind searched the possibility that Bright brought up. Could Kong be my husband ?? Could it be possible that the mating connection started even then ??

I heard the nurse coming so I stepped back a little, She quickly checked Kong’s vitals before exiting. I changed my clothes to the fresh ones that Jenny had brought for me.

I retook my seat at his side. Mr. Kongpob Rojnapat..... I shook my head, the chances are slim. It was start of July when I proposed to him in 1660. The chances of a wedding in just a month time, were looking far fetched. I wondered if Kong would want to still marry me when he got back. Or was it my human self he wanted to marry, and not the vampire ?? He can be completely free with my human self, without the dreadful possibility of getting hurt by my bloodlust for him.
I don't know what is going on in his mind in the past. But I knew that living without him was not a possibility for me now.

Kongpob's Pov---------

Time - 1660

Where had the time gone ?? It seemed liked yesterday that Arthit was proposing to me on the beginning of July. Now August has started already.... I know at the end of this month Arthit will be changed !!

He was thrilled about marrying me. He wanted to have it in next spring. I did not argue, I wanted him to have his happiness. Guilt ate away at me that our wedding will never happen.... At least not in this time frame.

Arthit’s father got so angry when Arthit told him about the praposal. He told him strictly that he won't accept this relationship and then told Arthit that he has a perfect partner for him in his mind and he wants Arthit to sit for a portrait of him to send it to that said perfect partner, because he wanted to know how Arthit looked.

Mr. Rojnapat has asked me to shift with my cousin Dr. Noor as soon as possible.

Now, as I am sitting at my room in Knott and Noor's house, I am brought back to reality. It was the second week of August.... things are going to be downhill from here.

It made me feel sick that my time was coming to an end with human Arthit. Although he promised me to come and meet me everyday at Noor's house, I savored every moment I had with him. Arthit was much more affectionate these days. He would hold my hand and give me chaste kisses all the time. A few times Arthit would pull me into his lap if we were alone and give me a more passionate kiss or just hold me close to his chest for awhile.

I was deep in my thoughts when two arms slipped around my waist and pulled me to a warm hard body.

“Arthit.... What are you doing here so early ??”

I asked without turning around.

“Mr. Srimus has completed the potrait today....and father was in hurry to let it be parceled to Mr. Anderson. I just walked out of the house as soon as I got the chance”

Arthit scoffed, kissing the top of my head. I do not know why but his nonchalant attitude angered me.

“Arthit... This potrait is being made for a marriage proposal of yours.... How can you be so okay with it ??”

My frustration came out in my voice. Why was he taking it so lightly ??

“Sweetheart, I am not going to marry someone else... I will marry you and only you”

Arthit was trying to sound soothing. I turned to face him.

“Arthit, it's not the time to joke around... Please, will you tell me what's going on in your head ”

I snapped. He raised an eyebrow.

“Don't you trust me Kong ?? I will make everything work in our way so don't worry, okay”

Arthit suggested.

“So ignorance is better for me ??”

I narrowed my eyes at him. He looked at a loss to what to do and I started to feel guilty for taking it out on him.

“I am sorry Arthit. I am just worried”

I hugged myself to him, pressing my face into his chest. I could feel his heartbeat, which gave me conflicted feelings knowing that they were.... numbered.

“No, ignorance is not better. I just do not like seeing you this upset. I will never let anything happen to separate us. I love you so much Kong.... a lot more than you can imagine”

Arthit pulled back and took my chin softly in one hand so he could stare into my eyes.

“I love you too, my sun”

I bit my lip, slightly embarrassed over my rant. Arthit kissed me softly.

“Would you like to go on a walk with me ??”

I asked, Arthit pushed a stray lock of my hair behind my ear. My hairs are longer now but Arthit like them this way so I am keeping it like that.... anything to make him happy.

“Its already lunch time, and I haven't eaten anything since the morning, I am so hungry right now”

I pulled back from him.

“Will you go with me after lunch”

I asked, thinking of holding his hand or just being with him would calm me down.

“Yes, sweetheart. Anything to see you smile”

Arthit gave me his dimpled grin. I gave him a small smile in return.

I hurried to the kitchen to prepare lunch for Arthit. I took a few calming breaths before starting to cook. I knew I had to be stronger than this. This was only going to get harder from here on out and I will never make it if I keep breaking down or taking it out on Arthit.

After lunch I went into my room to change my clothes for our walk. I took Arthit’s latest note with the flowers and went to my bedside table. I opened the drawer and pulled out all the other notes, turn to the foot of my bed, where I knelt in front of a beautiful wooden trunk.

The day before shifting to Noor's house, Maria gave me a trunk. She had bought it for me to keep my things, I started to treasure from this time.

Now I added the notes, on top of two photo albums. Maria brought them to me this morning. She wanted me to have them in the future, suggesting I filled the trunk and ask Knott and Noor to keep it safe, that way I could get anything I treasured in the future. I stood and got my turtle plushie off the bed, putting it in, as well.

I closed the trunk and headed out of the room. Arthit was leaning on the wall across from the door waiting for me. He straightened when he saw me and gave me a smile.

“Feeling better ??”

He asked caressing my cheek with his fingers.

“Yes.”

I reached out for his hand lacing our fingers together. He gave it a little squeeze as we headed out for the walk.

Arthit's POV------

Time - 1660

I frowned as I approached the dinning room.

'What is father doing home at this hour'

I thought, walking into the room.

“Mother.... why is father came home so early ?? Is everything, alright ??”

I asked as I pulled my seat out to sit.

“Arthit..... Your father has arrenged a meeting with Mr. Anderson in three days. He wants you to stay at home till then ”

Mother answered not sounding too happy about it.

“Mother.... You know I don't want to meet anyone... Or marry anyone else but Kong ”

I responded, whispering to my mother.

“I am not happy about it too Arthit. I have tried my best to make your father understand that Kongpob is the best choice for you.... But he isn't ready to listen anything”

Mother sounded troubled.

“Arthit.... Mr. Anderson is a very good and wealthy landowner.... And he is very pleased after receiving your potrait. I must say Mr. Srimus has outdone himself with that. Mr. Anderson is coming to see you in three days and I want you to be at your best behaviour with him”

My father stated in a buisness like voice. Mother tried to reason with father and I crossed my arms in front of my chest in irritation.

“What about your only son's wishes ?? He should be coming first to you, not your deals”

Mother bit her lip to keep it from trembling.

“I am concerned for my family. I am trying to provide for us. I am doing this for his own bright future. With a partner like Mr. Anderson... Our son will be able to achieve so much in his life”

Father replied.

“One dosen't need just money to be happy... Love is the most important thing to live a better life ”

Mother was in tears now. I was looking down at my plate frowning. I wondered if father ever think about his family before Money and status.

“Enough…”

Father pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Look, I know what's best for my son and my family. I don't want any discussions about this matter again... My word is final. Mr. Anderson is coming to see him, buy some good clothes for him and prepare the best dinner ”

He said in a slightly raised voice.

“Yes”

Mother sniffed.

I looked down at my food, my appetite gone. I had a feeling that I have to do something like Millie and Mr Thomas, to be with my Kong.

“Arthit.... Eat your lunch”

Father ordered. I nodded, taking up my fork to start eating. The rest of our meal was in silence.

My decision was gradually getting firm in my mind. I have saved a good amount of money in last few months and I will ask for some more from my mother, Now, I just need to find a fast and healthy horse and then we will elope too.

We will have our happily ever after for sure.
