16 - Drinking Buddies
"Jeon Yeseul! Are you coming to drink with us again?"
"Yeah! It was really fun the last time you were there with us. Come on!"
Yeseul hummed, uncertainly. Whilst she did have quite a lot of fun with her classmates, drinking, eating and forgetting about classes and assignments, the aftermath of her almost kissing Jeongin still lingered in her mind.
Even just thinking about it made her blush!
"Plus," The ringleader of the group, Lee Seol added quietly. "Kwon Jaemin will be there again. He really seems to have taken a liking to you the last time you were with us,"
Both of their eyelines were directed towards the senior boy, who flashed one of his dazzling smiles towards the girls, one of which who smiled and waved in return, the other, still unsure.
"Seol, I would love to come but I-"
"Yeseul, please?" The Lee girl pouted. "You're pretty, kind and single, and if you can get Kwon Jaemin, then what more could you want? And even if you're not looking for a relationship, then why not have some fun?"
Yeseul glanced at the clock, then at the senior, who had turned away, and finally at Seol.
"Okay," She agreed. "I'm in,"
...
The Jeon girl winced slightly at the light wind that brushed across her back. It wasn't relatively cold, but one would still need a light cardigan so that they wouldn't shiver.
Her feet came to a stop in front of a small restaurant, one that was close-by to the food store they had visited last time that they had all met up.
She could already hear the loud cheers and shouts coming from her group, all of whom were enjoying themselves to the fullest.
"What are you doing here?"
Yeseul looked up only to see a familiar dark-haired boy looking back at her, a frown etched upon his face. Seo Changbin.
"I've come here to drink with a few friends," The female smiled. "What are you doing here?"
"I live close by," He answered, shortly. "Yeseul, you shouldn't be here, it's not the safest of places, especially without Jeongin near you. Does he know that- "
"Yeah, I texted him," It was Yeseul's turn to frown. "How is this place dangerous?"
"It...It just is," The Seo boy scanned the area, a faint blue glow radiating off of his stocky frame. "Either go inside, and once you're finished, call Jeongin to take you home,"
For the first time since they had met that evening, Changbin smiled softly. "I just want you to be safe, and so that Jeongin won't kill me,"
"Thank you, Changbin, I'll be careful,"
With a smile and a wave, Changbin watched the female go inside to the warm, lively atmosphere of the restaurant before taking off himself, the dark blue glow illuminating his figure in the night.
...
"It's nice to see you again,"
Kwon Jaemin was a mystery to Yeseul. He was tall, handsome, smart and a nice person, yet, Yeseul had always noticed that he never seemed to share much about himself, and was quiet whenever the others shared their private lives.
"It's good to see you too," The Jeon replied, shyly.
"Yeseul doesn't normally turn up to these sort of things," Seol smiled, brightly. "So play nice," She glared at some of the boys the girl hadn't met before, all of whom were eying her hungrily. "Or else,"
"You don't turn up to these things?" It felt almost as though it was only Yeseul and Jaemin talking. "Why?"
"Ah, well, I have a lot of things to do, assignments to finish..." Her voice trailed off. "What about you?"
"I have a few things as well, but considering that this lot meet up around here, it's easier for me to join them. You see, I live quite close by here," Jaemin answered, taking a glass of soju.
"You do?" Yeseul asked, curiously. "Whereabouts?"
Once she realised the extent of her question, she waved her hands frantically. "No, I mean, not like that - I promise that I'm not a stalker,"
The Kwon boy chuckled. "I wouldn't mind if you were my stalker, but I live near the church by the mechanics? You know that place?"
Yeseul's smile faltered. "I've - I've heard of it as being a place to be cautious of," She admitted. "So I don't really go there,"
Jaemin simply hummed before the pair began to enjoy the food and drink, conversing with the others.
...
"Alright, let's go home," Seol ordered as a group of half-drunk students emerged from the restaurant.
"Yeseul?"
The Jeon girl spun around to see her guardian angel looking back at her, worry etched on his face.
"I didn't know that you were here,"
"Who are you?"
Yeseul looked between both Jaemin and Jeongin who were glaring at each other, an annoyed expression upon the latter's face.
"Her boyfriend," The Yang answered, sharply. "Yeseul come on,"
Taking her hand, he led her away, whilst the group watched in surprise. None of them had known that Jeon Yeseul had a boyfriend.
However, one of them in particular watched the pair leave, a smirk on his face and a glint in his eye.
Oh, how he was going to enjoy this.
