I dry hurl lightly as I fall face flat onto the golden floor of the Bifrost, groaning from the queasiness. "I hate transporting around like this..." I stagger up on my feet, eager to say hi to Heimdall. "You're not Heimdall." I blink at the short bald man that gaped at me.
"Who are you!?" I ignore him cause he wasn't relevant and shift my weight from foot to foot.
I shouldn't use my powers already but the bridge is too long...
I hover off the floor softly, flying down the bridge at a breezy pace. I grin as I look up at Asgard, looking as beautiful as ever as the sun hung high and the rushing water crossed beneath the bridge. "I can't wait to see Loki! I've missed this place!" I grin and spin around, pacing myself down the streets and fly over the citizens. Most of them don't pay attention to me but I do wave to the little kids that look up at me in awe.
I fly up towards the palace when I notice a large group of people on a balcony, hovering behind them to see some play being acted out as Loki was chilling in a chair disguised as Odin.
Living the lavish life I see.
I smirk as I see Loki stop eating his grapes, him looking around the crowd but I duck down just out of his view. I lean back up, looking around the palace and I suddenly notice the big ass statue of Loki.
You really are just milking this whole ruling thing huh.
I mutter in my head and I know Loki could hear me as he whipped his head around. The bald guy from Bifrost suddenly shows up amongst the crowd, interrupting the play.
"King Odin, someone has-"
"-do not interrupt this commemorative play." Loki cuts the bald guy off.
"But King Odin, there is a woman that just-"
"-I suggest that you inform me of your news after the play is over." Loki glares at the bald guy and he cowers but doesn't back down.
"King Odin! A woman just came out from the Bifrost!" Loki finally freezes and I grin, speaking in my head for him to hear.
I guess you now know.
"What did this woman look like?" the bald guy describes me and Loki stops the play, sending the citizens away quickly. I fly up to hide behind Loki's statue, waiting for the balcony to be empty before I plant myself to sit on the statues head.
"This is one big ass statue Loki. I assume you're enjoying people looking up to you like a legend." I call out, swinging my legs back and forth as I leaned on the horn. I beam at Loki as his eyes landed on me, a giant smile growing on his face as he drops his disguise.
"(y/n)!?" I land down on the floor and I run for Loki, jumping him. "You're here!" he picks me up as I hug him tightly, spinning me around and I chuckle. "You're actually here!" Loki just held me tightly for a long time, sighing out happily against my hair before he set me down on my feet.
"I told you I would be back, didn't I?" I smile up at him as he holds my face, checking that I wasn't an illusion. "How have you been?" Loki lets me go, quickly pulling me to the chair and sits me down.
"Ruling Asgard is a very important job, you could even say stressful."
"I bet." I smirk, eating some grapes.
"And how are you?" Loki shifts closer to me and my cheeks heat up from the movement.
"Been busy on Midgard so to say." I shrug. "Making sure no one gets too hurt badly." Loki looks over me and his eyes narrow on my arms, slight fear on his face. "What?"
"You're bleeding..." I look down and quickly stumble back up on my feet, seeing blood pouring from all the new wounds I got from the Vulture fight and including my arms.
"Shit-" fatigue hits me and Loki quickly jumps up to catch me as I fall to my knees, my vision darkening as I coughed out blood onto the floor. "This... is not good..." and I pass out.
Fuck...
If I got a dollar every time I passed out, I would be rich by now...
I whine softly in bliss as I feel soft pulsing run through my body, a hand running through my hair gently. "Darling..." Someone coos softly in my ear and I slowly open my eyes, hissing at the bright golden light surrounding me and I flinch lightly.
"Everything hurts." I hiss out and someone turns my head gently, sighing at the warmth that eases the pounding in my head. "Loki?" I blink and I see him smile at me softly as he sat next to me on the bed I was laying in.
"I missed you..." He mutters softly and I quickly jump on him to hug him again, ignoring the searing pain in my body and he quickly catches me.
"I missed you too Loki." He chuckles lightly, holding me gently. "It has been too long since I've last seen you." I look up at him as he beams down, his smile making my heart jump. I was about to lean back but he quickly pulls me back close to his chest, brushing my hair away from my face before caressing my cheek gently.
"What-"
"-darling, unless you wish to bare yourself to me, I suggest holding the cloth." I look down and I gasp as I hold the sheet over my chest tightly.
"Why am I naked!?" Loki gently lays me back down on the bed as I keep my chest covered. A heavy blush set over my cheeks and Loki smirks at my reaction. I hum out as he brushes a finger over my shoulder, pulses of magic drifting from his fingers and through my skin.
"The healers needed to check the full expanse of your body for all the wounds that had opened." Loki pursed his lips. "You have so many... too many..." I shudder as Loki trails his fingers gently over the old wound on my shoulder from when Bucky shot me at Winter Soldier before trailing down my arms to hold it in his hand. He turns them around, frowning at the black burned streaks in my arms from my tainted powers.
He looked mad, almost pissed off. "Loki-"
"-who hurt you? Who did this to you?" Loki whispers, leaning his forehead on mine and memories of all the painful moments I went through flashed in my head. The torture HYDRA put me through, losing full control of my powers in Ultron and almost killing thousands of people in Berlin when Zemo triggered me.
I suddenly hear Loki growling lowly. "They, they did this to you... This... this HYDRA, the Avengers." Loki hisses out angrily, his eyes flaming green like he could burn things down just by looking at them.
He suddenly stands up and I quickly grab his arm before he could stomp off to start raging war on the humans. "Loki, don't. Please." He frowns at me as I shake my head and he hesitantly sits back down, rage still in his eyes.
"How can you just let them go? They hurt you! They did this to you!"
"What's done is done Loki. There's nothing we can do." He sighs out, knowing that I wouldn't be happy if he went hurting people for my sake.
"But they stripped you away and hurt you continuously. Your powers are not the same as before anymore."
"I know." I sigh out.
"And you continuously protect the Avengers, always putting yourself in harm's way when they should be the ones to be protecting you!" Loki exclaims and I look at him in surprise as he leaves a kiss on my streaks. He leans back as a green aura surrounds my arms to heal the wounds, brushing his thumb against the marks until they fade away.
Loki suddenly falls silent, looking remorseful and distant. "What's wrong?"
"It has been 4 Midgardian years since you had left and when I see you again, you are hurt and in pain. You collapsed in front of me for Odin's sake!" I blush at how worried Loki was for me.
"I'm ok now Loki. I promise." he sighs as I hold his hand in mine, leaving a kiss on the back of my hand making my cheeks burn red.
"You need to rest now darling-" Loki freezes and looks up at the door before his magic washed over him. Thor suddenly barges in and his eyes widen as he sees me.
"Lady (y/n)! It's great to see you again!" I gasp as he suddenly picks me up, his buff arms slowly crushing me.
"Thor! You're crushing... my bones!" I wheeze and he chuckles nervously before setting me down gently. I make sure to keep the cloth over my chest but I bristle as I feel Loki standing behind me and I realise my back was bare.
"Apologies Lady (y/n)."
"That oaf should know to be more gentle with you." Loki hisses out in annoyance and I hold my laugh.
"No worries Thor. How have you been?" Thor goes on about the various victories and celebrations that he has gone to as Loki sat on the bed behind me. I knew he was invisible to Thor and it made it worse to keep my expressions neutral as I felt his fingers run down my spine.
"It has been great catching up Lady (y/n) but I was advised to leave you be to rest." I softly suck in a breath as Loki looms over behind me, resting his hands on the edge of the bed on either side of me. "By any chance, have you seen my father?"
I shudder as Loki whispers in my ear. "Tell him you haven't."
"I-I haven't."
"Good girl." I blush as Loki leans his chin on my shoulder, my heartbeat rapidly increasing as I felt his thumbs brush against my thighs.
"Ok, I should leave you to rest now then Lady (y/n)." Thor hugs me one more time before waving goodbye and leaving me in the healing chamber.
I hear a whoosh behind me and Loki stands next to me, letting me let out a breath of relief from his teasing. "Thank Odin the oaf is gone." I chuckle and he turns to me, suddenly surprising me with a kiss on my forehead. "You should rest (y/n). I'll let the maids know to leave you some clothes when you wake again." I nod and I lay back down on the bed, waving goodbye to Loki before closing my eyes to go to sleep again.
