A couple of weeks have gone by and I had succeeded in hiding Pietro from the rest of the avengers at the compound besides Wanda. She was absolutely shell shocked when she saw her brother alive and well again and she promised me to keep him out of sight. Cause who knows what's going to happen to Pietro when the others realise I could bring someone back to life.

The Maximoff twins and I got along very well, Wanda still terrified me even though she was an absolute sweetheart. I think she knew that she scared me with her mind-reading abilities and sometimes uses that against me.

I know she means well.

Pietro and I were the crackhead duo. We would be racing each other around the compound, seeing who would win. Most of the time I did since I cheat and hold him in place. If I didn't, Pietro would win every time! The dude has super speed! Sure I can fly but not as fast as him!

I would bring in gifts and different sweets from the outside world and teach them about different things whenever I hung out with the twins. They knew a lot already but there were little things they would ask me to explain and I would do so happily.

Sometimes, I would take them out to the city even though they weren't supposed to leave the compound.

And that's what we were doing again right now. Well I was bringing the twins back from our adventure at an amusement park, sneaking back into the compound. I had to sneak them back in before going back to Tony's place cause I live with him and Pepper. You know, officially unofficially adopting me for some reason.

"I feel like we may be caught this time (y/n)." Pietro says as I land us on the ground over security, hiding behind some walls as our goodie bags levitated behind me.

"Don't jinx it!" I hiss lowly, watching for guards.

"He says that all the time but we do not get in trouble. This will be, how you say, piece of cake." I chuckle as Wanda tries a saying.

"Good one Wanda." We creep closer to the back doors as I split the wall open. "Ok get in quick! Tony's getting suspicious as to why I'm coming out here all the time."

"Maybe because you're hiding something from him." I freeze hearing a familiar voice and the twins swear in Sokovian.

Fuck...

"Hey Tony... Steve..." I turn around and I see him raise a brow at me as Steve was with him, his arms crossed.

"Pietro!?" Steve gasps as he turns around and waves, hiding behind Wanda. "How-you died!?"

"Are we looking at a ghost right now?" Tony stumbles back, slightly afraid. "Are they haunting us now!?"

"No, I am not dead Stark. I am completely and utterly alive thanks to the little missus here." I glare at Pietro, signalling him to cut it out.

"You what!?" Both grown men exclaim and I know I'm going to get lectured.

"You did what!?" I shrink in my seat as the rest of the avengers had the same expression on their faces like Tony and Steve as I sat down at the round table in their meeting room.

"How is this possible!?" Bruce looks at Pietro who was talking to Wanda at the side before looking back at me.

"Why would you bring him back!?" Rhodey was blinking like he couldn't believe it.

"For Wanda. I would do anything to see my sister again." I narrow my eyes at the avengers and they fall silent. "Plus it's not like he's a decaying body and going to turn into a brain-hungry zombie..." I fade off and everyone quickly looks at Pietro just in case. He looked fine, mucking around with Wanda and everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.

"Yeah, it's not like you just started an apocalypse-" Clint starts but lets a shrill girly scream along with another scream from behind us.

"-he's eating me! Pietro is eating me!" Wanda was screaming and we all got up to stop Pietro who was hovering over her.

"Wanda!" I was ready to fight Pietro but she started laughing as her brother took a step back.

"We are just playing." I sigh out and sit back down in my chair.

"Don't do that!" Steve looks at Sam who was clinging onto him and he clears his throat as he quickly lets the captain go. "I mean, I was ready to kick some zombie ass."

"Sure you were Sam." I snicker and he glares at me.

"Ok enough about that. Pietro, go to the hospital wing. We need to run some tests." Tony says and Pietro shrugs before running off for that wing.

"Can we get back to (y/n) bringing some declared dead man back alive." Steve gets us back on track.

"Pietro's heart stopped beating so got an explanation Stark." Natasha asks and Tony looks through the holographic files on Pietro that was portrayed above the table.

"I think it's another ability of (y/n)s." He mumbles out and Bruce agrees, suddenly bringing up my file and playing through the videos of my powers.

"Of course you have a file on me." I sigh out as I watch the videos and Tony stops on one. I grimace as I watch myself suffocate the Chitauri soldiers during the battle in New York.

"You're seeing what I'm seeing right?" Bruce pauses the video and I wait for them to explain it to the others.

"She took their life force." Tony points out and I flinch as I watch black streaks flash across my skin before disappearing.

So I wasn't crazy.

"If she can take away someone's life, what's stopping her from giving it." Steve says and I get worried as Tony and Bruce each other.

"That's the magic aspect but that doesn't explain the science." Bruce frowns and I grip the shirt over my chest.

Oh no.

They know...

Of course they would, they're scientists!

"(y/n)."

"Yeah..." I look at Tony as he narrowed his eyes at me and I give him a shy smile.

"Are there any wounds you're hiding from us?"

"Nope. Not that I think of." I shrug and Tony gives me a mocking smile.

"FRIDAY. Scan her."

"FRIDAY don't you dare." FRIDAY hesitates but she scans me when Tony threatens her to pour liquids over her circuit board, not like Tony would actually do that.

"(y/n) appears to have a hole in her chest exactly where Pietro was shot previously." I groan out as FRIDAY brings up a holographic X-ray image of my body. "The wound is significantly smaller compared to Sir Maximoff and is currently healing."

"What!?" the avengers look at me with wide eyes and I know the jig is up.

"As mass cannot be created nor destroyed, existing cells had to be given to heal Pietro and replace the missing part of him." I jump slightly and turn around to see Vision standing behind me.

"Were you here the whole time?" He nods.

"(y/n), why didn't you tell us." Natasha frowns at me, noticing the slight aches I was trying to hide. It was worse in the beginning, I couldn't almost breathe and it was hard to hide the pain from the others.

"I knew you guys would make a fuss."

"Of course we would! You gave a chunk of yourself away!" Tony exclaims and I knew he was getting protective. "How long has this been going on!?"

"The day after the battle in Sokovia." I sigh out.

"You've had a hole in your chest for over a month now!?" Sam looks like he might faint at the idea.

"I'm ok now-"

"-I don't want you doing this ever again." Tony hisses lowly and I blink at him in surprise.

"You don't need to lecture me about this. I made the choice to save Pietro-"

"-by constantly killing yourself!? You always do this!"

"Stark, take it easy." Steve places a hand on his shoulder but he shakes it off, storming off and fuming. "Just give him some space." I nod.

"How are you feeling now Miss (y/n)?" Vision asks.

"I'm ok I guess, just feeling really drained." The meeting ends and everyone filters out and I went off to try and avoid everyone. Before I could get into the elevator, I get dragged into a bedroom. "What-"

"-show me." I raise a brow at Tony as he impatiently taps his foot on the floor.

"I'm not doing that-"

"-and I'm not going to ask again. Show me." He hisses lowly and I sigh in defeat, slowly pulling up my shirt just above my stomach to show the fist-sized hole. Tony sighs and pinches his nose, my powers trying to heal my body with tendrils of white wisp-like webs over the hole.

"I know, it looks bad." I drop my shirt back down, feeling exhausted like I usually did this past month. "Look, I need to sleep. Taking the twins to and back from the amusement park took a lot out of me."

"You took them to an amusement park?" Tony snickers and I nod, taking out my phone to show him some videos of Pietro screaming like a girl on a roller coaster.

"They asked, plus they've never been to one." I yawn out.

"You should get some rest now. Looks like you really need it." Tony suits up and he picks me up bridal style to take me home. I lay my head on his chest, my eyes getting droopy as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I'm sorry Tony." He holds me carefully as he flies off, kissing my head.

"Just sleep sweetheart."
