The wind blew over me as I laid on top of a round roof of a tall skyscraper as I hummed to my music blasting in my ears. I stared up at the sky as the sun started rising, the sky being showered in rays of gold and pinks. I close my eyes and take in a deep breath, feeling so free at this moment like I couldn't care about the world even if it weren't my own.
I open my eyes, raising my hand as wisps of white flickered around my fingers like flames. I manipulated the matter in the air as they buzzed and glowed above me to form a picture of Loki. I missed him, it had been a while since I last saw my videos and I wanted to go back to Asgard to see him.
I watched the holographic video playing above me of Loki. Of his smile and his laugh and that damn smirk that made butterflies erupt in my stomach. I couldn't help but smile, leaning my head on my knees.
"You have feelings for my brother!?" I gasp and wipe the holographic away quickly as Thor pops up from behind me.
"Do not sneak up on someone on a roof! I could've fallen!" I screech out but Thor just beamed mischievously at me.
"I could easily have rescued you. Now, why did you not tell me you have secret feelings for my dear brother!?" I blush as Thor picked me up and spun me around like it was the most happiest piece of news he's ever heard.
"There wouldn't have been any point Thor." I mumble out, remembering that he doesn't know Loki is still alive as he puts me down.
"I knew that there was something between you two! Loki had rambled on about you when I visited him in the dungeons!" I gape at Thor as he quickly shuts up like it was something he was supposed to keep secret.
"He what?"
"Uh, forget what I had revealed to you Lady (y/n)." Thor started backing away and I narrow my eyes at him.
"Thor-"
"-the avengers had just asked me to ask you if you would come back. It's been a couple of days. We are awfully worried-"
"-Thor, Loki really talked about me?" I ignored what Thor said and he blinks at me before quickly spinning his hammer and flying off. I sigh, letting him off the hook.
Loki really talked about me?
I blushed lowly, suddenly feeling giddy and I squealed. I jumped over the edge, diving through the air towards the city below before diving back up as I flew through the air. I let out a loud whoop as I spun through the air, snaking between buildings as the air rushed by me. I was absolutely over the moon, speeding down the streets close towards the Avengers Tower.
Before I could slam into the building, I quickly lift up, flying alongside the glass and shooting up into the air. I dive through the clouds, slowing down in the air with the soft clouds around me. I lean back with a huge smile on my face, diving towards the earth again upside down. I let myself fall, the wind rushing by my clothes and I chuckle realising I just achieved that beautiful anime fall.
Omg, I need to do this with the How To Train Your Dragon theme song!
I slow down and flying into the Avengers Tower through the balcony, making people spin around haphazardly as I rushed to my bedroom. I was breathing heavily, feeling like I was floating as I stood in my room, feeling light and airy.
"(y/n)?" I turn around and see Natasha, Maria and Pepper by my doorway.
"Hey." I breathe in, trying to calm my racing heart and the girls look at me strangely. "I was flying outside." They nod as I try to fix my messed up appearance.
"Right."
"So what's up?" I ask as I go to the bathroom to freshen up and brush my teeth.
"Well, since Tony's party is tomorrow," I hear Natasha start from outside the bathroom.
"We were wondering if you wanted to join us and have a girls day out." Pepper asks and I freeze.
"You know, we all need to buy a dress for tomorrow." Maria finishes and I quickly finish up and rush into my bedroom.
"Are you shitting me right now?" the three women look at me with wide eyes before Maria laughs.
"Of course not! I think it would be fun." Pepper grins at me and I know she was referring to another one of my dot points on my bucket list.
To have a girls day out and have a major shopping spree.
To have a dress fitting montage like in the movies.
"I can cross this off my bucket list!" I squeal out, taking out my notebooks and jumping about.
"You have a bucket list?" Natasha asks and she peeks over my shoulder to look at it.
"Yep! Pepper and Tony already helped me cross some of them off!"
"Well, what are we waiting for? This activity won't cross itself off." Maria says and I jump on the three women to hug them.
"Thank you!"
I huff out as the girls drag me to another store for I don't know, I lost count about two hours ago.
I didn't realise shopping could be this tiring.
I was exhausted at this point but none of us had found our perfect dress so far. Pepper wasn't even going to the party since she had some business to attend to the same night but that didn't stop her from trying things on.
Maria had found her outfit so now it was just me and Natasha left. At this point, I wasn't surprised the girls were fed of me yet cause I was very picky and unsure of how the dress looked at me. Some gowns were extremely revealing and most just made me hate how my body looked in them.
"Maybe I shouldn't go to the party. I can't wear these kinds of things." I could feel my self-confidence plummet seeing other girls easily pick out dresses that looked gorgeous on them.
"Nope! We are getting you a dress for the party and that's final!" Pepper grins, helping Natasha and Maria pick out multiple dresses.
"And we have to get your hair done as well!" Maria exclaims and I chuckle at how much the female in us was showing despite 3 out of 4 were assassins or agents. I let them do their thing as I just walked around, stopping at the corseted dresses. I looked through the rack, my eyes suddenly freezing on a beautiful satin green dress that also had an attached corset. I take it out, admiring the soft fabric that sparkled in the light.
"You should try that on." I jump as Natasha pops up next to me, a hand on my chest.
"For the love of god, one of yous are going to give me a heart attack." Natasha waves my comment away, grabbing my hand and dragging me to the change rooms. "Natasha I don't know-"
"-this is the one (y/n), trust me." She winks and shuts the curtains tight. I let out a shaky breath, stripping in embarrassment before slipping the dress on.
Yooooooo...
This actually looks good on me!
And appropriate length too.
The dress was soft on my skin and showed off my legs. "(y/n)! Come out!" I chuckle as I hear the three of them call for me and I slowly walk out to see them gape at me.
"Holy fucking shit..." Natasha curses and I laugh.
"That's the one!"
"Really?" I look at myself, unsure but I really did like the dress.
"Yes!" Pepper squeals out before running over to me and hugging me. "It's like you're going to prom!" she sniffles and I pat her back as she lets me go.
"You are so buying that one." Maria says.
"Have you guys found yours as well?" I ask and they all lift their dresses.
"Wait, how are we paying?" Natasha asks and I grin, waving the platinum black credit card Tony gave me.
"Let's go crazy girls."
"Why do I feel so nervous all of a sudden!?" my hands were shaking as Maria and Natasha dolled me up for the party, Natasha doing my makeup and Maria doing my hair since I had no experience in doing any of these things.
Another thing I can tick off on my bucket list.
I resisted the urge to pick at my gold nail polish, opening my eyes once Natasha and Maria were done with messing with me. "You'll be fine. We will be there at the party plus the guys. You don't need to worry." Natasha grins as I look at myself in the mirror.
"I can't even recognise myself. Wow, you both did an amazing job!" Natasha did something light for me since I wasn't comfortable in makeup but bold enough to make my lips and eyes stand out beautifully against the diamond-encrusted chocker I wore. My hair was slightly curled and fell over my shoulder to reveal silver earrings.
"Ok, enough admiring, we need to go, it's started." Maria quickly picks me up and I stumble in my heels.
"Wait, I'm not used to wearing these!" I wobble slightly, holding onto the railing but I manage to get down the walk after a few tries. I could hear the loud music and chatter as we got closer and I grew even more nervous.
"You'll be fine (y/n). You look stunning." Natasha and Maria assure me as I suddenly felt eyes on us as we got to the top of the stairs.
