I watch as Tony works on the holographic crime scene where Happy got hurt, leaning against the counter with my arms crossed as he tried to get clues. "Why exactly am I here?" I sigh out as I watch him jump up onto his shelf, looking at the similar cases of explosions going off with the same heat signature as the one that affected Happy.

"I was hoping that maybe you could give me some hints about the incident." Tony gives me puppy eyes and I raise a brow at him.

"You know I can't."

"Eh, I tried." I let Tony continue working, jumping up to sit on a counter. "Ever been to Tennessee (y/n)?"

"You know I haven't." Tony nervously chuckles as I give him a pointed look.

"Creating a flight plan for Tennessee." The doorbell suddenly rings and I look at the hologram to see who was outside.

And the ex one-night stand is here.

"Are we still at ding-dong? We're supposed to be on total security lockdown. Come on, I threatened a terrorist. Who is that?"

I roll my eyes at Tony slightly freaking out. "That's your own fault for posting your house address." He sighs at me and I narrow my eyes as he jumps down from the shelf. He goes to put on the suit and I follow him upstairs but he stops me.

"You are not coming up, who knows what's up there."

"Tony, it's just a woman."

"Yes, but it could be a dangerous woman-" I shrug past him, tired of his idiocy but I gasp when he suddenly picks me up from under my arms like a child.

"Tony put me down!" I wriggle, but he had a tight grip on me and I huff out like an angry child as he carried me to my bedroom. I cross my arms as Tony plops me down on the bed.

"Stay here."

"I'm not a goddamn child!" Tony walks out, shutting the door. I creep out of my bedroom, peeking around the wall to see the ex one night stand talking to Tony.

"You don't remember. Why am I not surprised?" the woman and Tony going back and forth.

"Normally, I'd go for that sort of thing, but now I'm in a committed relationship." I jump as Pepper suddenly chucks her bags plus mine to the floor from the second floor. "With her."

Right, I forgot Pepper was packing my stuff to leave.

I was supposed to convince Tony to come with us.

Talk about going off track.

"Tony? Is somebody there?" I raise my brows, arms crossed as Tony urges me to go back to my bedroom when he spots me hiding but I don't move a muscle.

"Maya Hansen. Old botanist pal that I used to know, barely." Pepper walks down the stairs and I go to sit on the couch to watch the dialogues happen between everyone as Tony climbs out of his suit.

"Please don't tell me there's a 12-year-old kid waiting in the car that I've never met." I chuckle as Tony shudders.

"He's 13. No, I need your help." I tune out the conversation as Tony and Pepper start arguing again, grabbing my bag with my devices and personal items in it and slinging it over my back.

Right on clockwork as usual.

"Is... Is that normal?" Maya points at the gigantic puppy blow up stuffie sitting in the corner of the room.

"Unfortunately." I sigh out at Maya and she doesn't know what to do as Pepper and Tony argue. She turns around to watch the news and I do the same, fear bubbling up inside me. "Tony-" I look at the missile that was coming straight for the house. "Tony!" I scream out and all that I hear is a deafening silence as a bright white light blinds me.

"(y/n)!" I gasp out and open my eyes to see that I had thrown a forcefield around all of us as we all get thrown back, Tony assembling his suit around Pepper to protect her. I groan in pain as I drop to the floor, my ears ringing and my head pounding as everything shook around us.

Why are there more helicopters outside!?

I panic as I see dozens hover outside the house, preparing to send another round of missiles. I look up and I see the ceiling crack and fissure, watching the ceiling break away.

"Tony!" I gasp out and I sigh in relief as Pepper comes to save him.

I knew he was going to be ok but damn that was a little close.

"I got you."

"I got you first." I squeal at the cuteness between Tony and Pepper. "Like you said, we can't stay here." Tony quickly gets up and walks up to me to help me up but my eyes widen as another missile heads straight for us.

"Watch out!" I throw up a shield around Tony as he flies back and I shriek as I cover myself from the blast.

"(y/n)!" Pepper yells out for me and I open my eyes to see that a sharp pipe had managed to go through my forcefield, pointing straight at my chest. I knew that if I move or bring down the forcefield, I was going to be impaled. My hands trembled to keep up the forcefield as it fissures and crackles, my skin covered in lightning streaks.

"Move! I'm right behind you!" Tony runs up to me and pries the pipe off from my shield and throws it away, shoving me towards Pepper. Tony yells at her to get Maya and me out of the house. "Go! I'll find a way around!" I throw a shield around everyone as more missiles fly into the house, Pepper carrying me and Maya out of the house. As soon as I was safe, the suit disassembles around Pepper and flies back inside the house.

"TONY!" I scream out, another missile flying towards the house and I feel rage building as I blast energy from my hands and destroy the missiles. I growl out, my body glowing a bright white with the lightning streaks burning through my skin as I pick up a large boulder with the energy and spin around before launching it at a flying helicopter.

The helicopters start aiming at me and I growl, bursting with rage as the energy circles around me. "(y/n)!" Pepper screams out and I see the helicopters start firing at her and Maya and I glare at the pilot, raising my hands as the energy wraps around the helicopter.

"You messed with the wrong people." I hiss out, closing my fist as the helicopter crumbles into itself and crushes into a ball before falling into the ocean. My mind starts to become fuzzy as I hover off the floor, deafened by loud buzzing as I summon multiple large boulders with my arms. I hover in the air, grinning maniacally as energy bursts from my body. "Bye bye bitches." I hiss as I throw the boulders through the air, hitting the multiple helicopters.

"Tony!" Pepper shrieks out and I see one of the helicopters crashing into the house as it crumbles and falls into the ocean. I hover in the air and wait for the moment for Tony to fly out of the water unconscious but it was taking much longer than I expected. I was getting extremely worried and I knew I shouldn't intervene but-

-oh fuck it!

I fly straight towards the water, summoning a dome around my head as a makeshift air bubble as I dive into the water. Panic rises as I see no light coming from Tony as debris just started piling on the floor.

Come on Tony! Come on!

I don't see the glove come out from the debris.

JARVIS come on!

I sigh out and I summon my powers to try and find Tony within the rubble, gritting my teeth as I focus on picking up the debris from the floor. I start sinking to the floor, my feet planting on the seafloor as I struggle to pick up the broken house. I let out a long growl, my arms shaking as the rubble hovers up a few feet in the water, seeing Tony's body and suit unmoving.

"Tony!" I keep a hand up to hold up the debris, my other focused on Tony as I surrounded him in a dome with air. I see the suit power up again and I sigh in relief.

"Miss (y/n)!" I finally hear Jarvis and I stumbled to my knees as the pressure of the water makes it harder to control my powers. I set the rubble aside and I pant out, feeling too exhausted to swim back up to the surface. "Hold on Miss (y/n)." JARVIS grabs hold of my waist and pulls me out of the water.

"Wait!" The dome around my head pops like a bubble and I gulp in deep breaths of air. "Where are you taking me!?" The sudden rush of fresh air gets to my head and everything starts to spin.

Oh fuck...

And here I go, passing out again.
