A couple of more weeks went by as I finally fixed Asgard but at a more moderate speed where I wasn't having nosebleeds. Loki took me to Frigga's secret garden the morning I woke up where he used his magic on me, letting me grieve in front of her statue. He stayed with me the whole day as I just cried in his arms, rocking me on his lap as he held me tightly.
I felt lighter after that, finally letting Frigga go and I felt happier. Of course, I still missed her but she wouldn't want me to constantly be sad for her. I started spending more time with Loki, sticking by his side as he pretended to be Odin or mucking around with the civilians or Thor as he hid himself from their view besides me.
We got closer during our time together in the daytime, spending our time during the night much more closer. As I fixed Asgard during the night, Loki held me in his lap to make sure I wasn't overexerting myself. He keep me close in his arms, snuggling his head against my shoulder as I worked or laying his chin on top of my head as we simple watched the stars after he made me stop.
Those nights were my favourite. With Loki sitting on a chair and me on his lap as he wrapped his arms around my waist beneath a blanket. It was like our own little world beneath the night sky. We would always fall asleep together like this, helping each other have dreamless sleep for the first time in ages.
I was walking around the palace this time in the middle of the night, looking for Loki as I had my bag on my back. The past few days, I had a sick feeling in my stomach. Almost like a fading feeling of falling unconscious or passing out. I quickly head to Loki's room that was coincidentally next to mine, holding a gift for him.
"Loki?" I knocked on the door, hoping he was inside and thankfully he was as he opened the door.
"I was just about to get you." Loki smiles and lets me inside his impeccably clean room. I wasn't surprised that it was mostly green and black, his favourite colours.
"I have something to give you." I pass Loki a box and he peers down at it in confusion.
"What is this?" He was genuinely surprised about getting a gift and I smile at him.
"Open it." Loki slowly opened the lid of the music box and I quickly shut his bedroom light off. I smile sadly as the movie I had been working on started playing on a holographic screen, clips of my days here and mostly of Frigga. All the clips that I had of Frigga was in the holographic music box along with images that we had taken together or I had taken with her and her sons. I hear Loki's breath hitch as the final image froze with an image of Frigga with both her sons together and I turn the light on.
Loki was staring down at the box, his hair hiding his face but I saw his shoulders shake. "Oh, you hate it. I'm so sorry." Loki shook his head as I walked up to him.
"N-No, I loved it." I bend down and see that he was crying and I hug him tightly. "Thank you (y/n)."
"I wanted to give you something that let you see her, to remember her."
To remember me by...
Loki stiffens in my arms and I lean back, wiping his tears away. "What do you mean remember you? Are you going somewhere?" Loki notices my bag and his eyes widen, keeping a hold on me. "Where are you going!?"
"Loki, I think I need to move on to the next film..." I flinch, seeing my arms suddenly fissure in and out of view like a transparent being.
"No!" Loki grabs my hands, pulling me to his chest. "You can't go! Please!"
"I don't want to Loki but it's something I can't control." I frown as he held me like a lifeline, not wanting to let go. "I just wanted to give you your gift and say goodbye before I disappear." Loki was shaking again as I felt his tears drip down my arm.
"P-please don't go..."
"I'll come back Loki. I will come back to see you again." I promise him and he leans back. "Don't cry ok." I coo softly and he leans his forehead on mine. I feel a cold breeze was through my body and I get a tugging feeling. "Don't cause too much trouble while I'm not here ok." I chuckle softly, leaning up to kiss Loki on his cheek. He freezes and leans back, surprise on his face as he held his cheek where I kissed him.
I'll see you again Loki.
I beam up at him as my vision darkens around me, swallowing whole. I hear Loki yell out for me, trying to reach me as I fall back into the abyss.
I scream as I fall through the air, groaning loudly in pain as I land face-first against the hard floor.
Oh, my boobs fucking hurt.
I hiss out, turning my head to see Tony in his suit staring at me with wide eyes as his arm stabilisers were locked on me. "Hey, Tony..." I grunt, picking myself up from the floor and Tony slowly lowers his hand.
"Kid?"
"Yeah, it's me. Guess I'm crashing at your place this time." I chuckle nervously, shrieking out as I quickly drop to the floor again when he suddenly flys over me as the ass piece of the suit collides into him. "Oh, that's gotta hurt." I flinch as he falls, the suit disassembling on the floor. "You really are a big Christmas buff huh..." I look around his lab to see Christmas trees and decorations littered in whatever available spot there was, a Christmas song playing in the background as Tony sly got up.
"It's December, of course I am." Tony helps me up and I follow him up out of his lab to the living room. "So I'm guessing you're dropping in cause another movie has started."
"Yep! Yours. Iron Man 3." I grin as I set my bag down on the floor, sitting on the couch as Tony goes to grab a drink from the fridge.
"My last solo film huh."
"Yeah but more avengers is coming up." I shrug and he offers me a drink. "How have you been since I went to Asgard?"
"Not bad..." Tony shrugs and I narrow my eyes at him, noticing the bags under his eyes and I knew it was from his nightmares about New York.
"Right and you creating over 40 suits has nothing to do with your lack of sleep." Tony glares at me lightly but sighs out.
"Hows the god realm? Any news about any impending wars I should get ready for?"
"Nah, none at all. Just a family dispute going on back there. Thor and Loki's mum died in battle, their father has gone missing and Loki faked his death to take over the throne." I shrug like this was all normal but Tony just blinks at me.
"And I thought I had family issues goddamn."
"Who are we kidding, every family has their issues."
"Cheers to that." Tony raises his glass before downing his drink and slamming the glass down. "JARVIS, is the guestroom for (y/n) ready? She will be staying with us until the foreseeable future."
"Or when I disappear again and land on someone else's floor." Tony chuckles light, ruffling my hair as he walks past me.
"Miss (y/n), your room is ready for you." I thank JARVIS and Tony leads me to my room.
"And here it is!" Tony opens the door to the bedroom, letting me walk through. "It's pretty much empty now since no one uses this room but you can claim this as yours. Go crazy on the decoration, I don't care." Tony shrugs and I place my bag down on the bed.
"Thanks a lot for this man. I appreciate it."
"Holla for me or JARVIS if you need anything."
"Actually," Tony pauses before he could leave. "are there clothes for me? All mine got ripped apart during the war." Tony grins at me, waving at the wardrobe as it slides open by itself, revealing lines of different clothes.
"Go crazy. It's all yours." I squeal lowly and sift through the clothes like an excited child looking at toys and Tony chuckles as he leaves me to my room. I was so happy to see baggy clothes, quickly grabbing something to wear before heading to the bathroom to take a shower and change.
