Once again, I was in Loki's cell, laying on the floor as I was reading. I have been spending more time with Loki recently and he doesn't mind my presence since I normally just sit in silence and read. Loki enjoys the silence as much as I do.
I hum softly as my headphones were in, my leg crossed over my knee as I laid my foot was flat on the floor. I flinch when I suddenly feel something hit my head and I furrow my brows as I lean my head back. I see an upside-down Loki on his bed smirk at me and I roll my eyes at his mischievous tendencies to just annoy me.
"Loki, stop it." I sigh out as a paper ball hits my head again.
"No." I huff out and put my book down, stretching on the floor when I hear loud footsteps. I quickly sit up and see guards lead a group of new prisoners and I quickly roll under Loki's bed to hide. "What are you doing?" he peeks his head beneath his bed, just blinking at me.
"Shush!" I hiss out, seeing Malekiths soldier walk past. I let out a sigh in relief and roll back out, heart racing.
"Why did you hide under my bed?" Loki peered down at me as I laid on my back next to his bed, getting up as I brushed the dust off me.
"The next part of the film is starting. And it's not going to be good." I anxiously wring my fingers through my hair, waiting for the moment all hell lets loose. Loki looks at me with worry as I start pacing, transforming my hoodie into my assassins creed suit.
I need to find Frigga.
"Why do you need to find my mother?" Loki started getting anxious with me when he read my mind.
"I need to go Loki."
"(y/n), what's going on!?" I quickly head for the electrical wall, splitting it open as I run out. I suddenly hear screams and I panic.
"Shit! It's happening already!" I run out of the dungeons, ignoring the guards that yell at me as I ran through the palace. I quickly run outside, gasping as the dark elves attacked Asgard, blasting at the city while the defence hits back at the enemy.
They're getting too close.
Panic was rising an all-time high in my body, a misty glow surrounding my body anxiously. The dark elves were getting too close to the palace and the ground suddenly rumbles as a golden forcefield rises around the palace.
Oh no, Malekiths soldier.
I quickly rush back inside, heading for the room where the guard was going to take down forcefield.
Ok, he's not here yet.
My power crackles through my arms as they glowed and I slam my hands down on the floor, a white mist crawling around the golden globe that spun. Wind flew past me as I grit my teeth to hold a shield around the globe.
Hurry up!
I watch as my powers was just about to envelop the globe completely when I cry out in pain, being thrown through the wall. "Fuck that hurts..." I hiss out as my whole body ached, slowly sitting up from the rubble beneath me as Malekiths soldier slams his hands down on the globe. "No!" I gasp as it shatters and the forcefield disappears. I hiss out as I get up, stumbling back outside and I fall to my knees.
I need to protect Frigga.
I panted heavily, my skin glowing brightly as a burst of magic erupted from my chest. It spread out around the palace and I scream as I force it to protect the palace quicker, pushing my powers to spread around the area before anyone could get through. The ground beneath me burned as the forcefield enveloped the palace but a dark elf ship managed to get through before it was completely closed.
Goddamn it!
I stumble back on my feet, focusing on keeping the forcefield up as I ran to find Frigga in her room. I dodge the dark elves, hiding behind pillars as I slammed Frigga's bedroom doors open to see her choking.
"Let her go!" I scream out, fury building up inside of me like waves as my whole body enveloped in a glowing white when they hurt Frigga.
"No!" Frigga begs me but I don't listen to her, eyes snapping to Malekiths soldier that held her up by her throat. I fume in pure rage seeing the sword pointed at Frigga.
"Don't you dare lay another fucking hand on her." I seethe out, my powers burning inside my body as darkness travelled up my arms instead, swallowing the pure light around me and Frigga looks at me with wide eyes.
"(y/n) don't do it!" she shakes her head.
"Who are you?" Malekith asks.
"That is none of your fucking business now let her go!" I hiss out, the darkness seeping out of me and rolling across the floor in waves as I hovered above the ground. Malekith just nods his soldier plunging the sword into Frigga.
I smirk as the sword melted into liquid metal instead and drips on the floor. "How-"
"-now you." I grin at Malekith, blasting him with my magic before turning to his soldier and dodging his attack before he could hit me.
I duck under his arm and grab his neck from behind him, my powers swarming over his body as he burned and screeched. He reaches behind me and throws me against the wall and I quickly get up, avoiding his next attack. I stalk towards him and raise my hands. He struggles to breathe as dark mist chokes him and I cackle, watching him writhe for air as I sucked away at his life.
"(y/n)! Stop! This isn't you! Please!" I hear Frigga scream at me and I blink as I break out of my sudden trance, turning around to see her staring at me with wide eyes. I realised I was so focused on killing this beast that the forcefield around Frigga and the palace had dropped and my heart beats frantically in my chest.
Time slows down and I rush for her as Malekith stood behind her, raising his sword and swinging down. "NO!" An almost demonic scream rips from my lungs as my body absorbs the darkness around me before blasting the aliens. "YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" I howl out, blasting dark energy at the aliens as they slammed against the wall. I screamed out angrily, my body splintering as dark lightning streaks cracked over my skin. My eyes flamed black, as I fly straight at the aliens to grip their necks and choke them.
They screamed and struggle to move as the dark flames that danced and flicked angrily around us burned them alive before Malekith threw a sword into my stomach. I grunt and stumble back from the impact, hearing Thor scream out as he rushed in and shot a lightning bolt at Malekith's face, severely scarring it. He and his soldier manage to escape as Thor threw his hammer at them, jumping onto their ship before Thor could catch them.
"Frigga..." I feel my energy deplete entirely as I fell to my knees before her unmoving body, crying softly as I gently shook her shoulder. "Please wake up..." I begged her to wake up, ignoring the searing pain in my body as my powers disappeared. "...Frigga... I beg you..." Black dots flit around my vision and I hear someone call out my name as I pass out.
I stayed hidden behind the pillar, ignoring the cold biting winds and the burning pain in my bleeding stomach as I watched Frigga float away against the ocean. The boat was set aflame, her body turning into stardust as it reached the end of the ocean. I hugged myself as I cried, watching the blue stardust rise into the sky to join the rest of the cosmic universe, slowly backing away from the funeral that I didn't belong to attend.
I couldn't save her...
I failed her...
I let my feet walk to wherever they went, flinching as I saw myself in the reflection of shiny materials to see darkness creeping up my arms. I look up and saw the empty cells, walking down towards Loki's. It was empty but I knew an illusion was up as I split the electrical wall apart to walk through the space and the wall of Loki's magic that washed over me.
My heart shattered to see how broken he was, laying on the floor as everything around him was shredded to pieces. He was staring at the floor, his hair unkempt and clothes crumpled as his foot was covered in berry juice like he just trampled over them.
I slowly walk over to him, setting myself down to sit next to him against the wall. We didn't speak a word, just sitting in silence but we were there for each other. I hesitantly lean over to hold Loki's hand, squeezing it tight.
"Loki..." He slowly looked up and I frown sadly, seeing the dull look in his eyes knowing the mother he loved with his whole being was gone.
"(y/n)..."
"I'm here..." I shush him quietly, pulling him close as he laid his head on my shoulder.
"It's all my fault."
"This was never your fault..." Loki shook in my arms as I pulled him closer, hugging him tightly as much as I could to let him know he was safe, to let him know that I was never letting him go. "Don't ever blame yourself..." Loki buried his head in my neck and I could feel his tears drip, letting my fingers run through his hair soothingly. He held me tight like his lifeline, ignoring the crushing feeling as I laid my head on top of his.
"This was none of your fault my loves, always know that." I break down myself, hearing Frigga's voice in the air as if she was here one last time.
