(y/n) - your name

I stood on the floating asteroid that was in the centre of the single ring of time, space enveloping all around us and just spreading out for infinity. I was in awe of how beautiful it was, like the Aurora Borealis but bigger and brighter. The timeline was one clean ring except for one string that weaved itself in and out of the ring but never actually branching off. It was weird to see, this single line only flowing through the timeline.

"Let's go." Sylvie says and Loki takes hold of my hand and leads us carefully through the rippling rocks toward the massive house on the floating asteroid. We stood in front of the door, unsure of what to do. I knew Sylvie needed some time to actually process everything when the door suddenly opens up.

"Don't look at me, I didn't do anything." I raise my free hand that Loki wasn't holding before walking inside the mansion. It was eerily quiet, a disturbing feeling around us as the doors shut closed behind us. I step closer to Loki, getting a sick feeling in my stomach-

"-hey y'all-"

"-HOLY FUCKING SHIT-" I scream out, jumping back into Loki's arms as Miss Minutes just jump scares the living soul out of me!

"(y/n)-"

"-just give me a minute," I wheeze as I bend over to try and calm my heart that almost burst from my chest. "let me just calm down from being scared shitless!" I hiss out, finally ok to face the female clock. Loki and Sylvie had their weapons out against Miss Minutes, Loki keeping me behind him.

"Welcome to The Citadel at the End of Time." Miss Minute smiles at us and that sick feeling returns. "Congratulations. Y'all had an awfully long journey to get here. He's impressed."

"Who's impressed?" Sylvie asks.

"He Who Remains."

"And who is he?"

What is this Voldemort shit?

This ain't Harry Potter. Wrong universe.

"He wants to offer you a deal. He's been making a few creative adjustments, and he's worked it out so we can reinsert y'all back into the Timeline in a way that won't disrupt things." Miss Minute explains and Loki looks down at me.

Don't look at me, I don't know what she's talking about. I didn't get to watch your series remember.

"The TVA can keep doin' its vital work and y'all can live the lives you've always wanted."

"And what have we always wanted?" Loki asks, him squeezing my hand and Miss Minutes catches this movement.

"Now, don't play coy with me, mister."

"What."

"How would you like to win against those self-righteous Avengers in the Battle of New York? But not just there. You can kill Thanos. You want the Infinity Gauntlet? Yours. Throne of Asgard? No problem." I look up at Loki, wondering if this was truly what he wanted.

"What about you, missy? All those years on the run. Desperate, alone. How would you like to wake up tomorrow with just a lifetime of happy memories?" Miss Minutes asks Sylvie and she frowns, the floating clock looking at me.

"And sweet sweet (y/n), I know that all you've wanted was to live a long and happy life. Well, He can do that just for you. He can even bring you back alive and return you to your husband and child, bring you back to your Avengers family. And your real family, sure, He can bring them too." I feel Loki tense next to me hearing that Miss Minutes could take me back to my husband. "Or maybe you would like to start a new life with your new Loki and your new friend here, on a new timeline together."

"Two Lokis in the same place..." I mutter out, staring at them both but I knew we couldn't do this. "It can't be done."

"It's fiction." Sylvie says and Loki follows up.

"We write our own destiny now."

"No one can control us anymore." I mutter out and Miss Minutes stare me down.

"Oh, sure. Good luck with that." She mocks me and I wonder what she meant by that as she disappears.

"Now what?" I ask.

"We move." Sylvie says, holding up her sword as Loki and I follow her through the mansion.

"(y/n)," I hum, letting Loki know I was listening. "What Miss Minutes said... is that what you truly want? To be with the other Loki...?" I look up at Loki as he looked away, hiding the pain on his face.

"Loki, you have to know that I will miss him but I know I can't go back to him. That part of my life is over and I'm living it now with you. I want to live it with you." I whisper, stopping him as I turn his head to look at me. "And you are him, in every shape and form. My Loki that I fell in love with. Only this time, I fell in love with you again." he smiles happily, easing the doubts from his mind. "As I said before, I will always come back to you."

"You really have a way with words."

"I learned from the best, didn't I?" I chuckle, knowing we were reciting previous memories. "But Loki..." I gnaw on my lip, wondering if he actually wanted to live a life with me or to take down Thanos and the Avengers instead.

"I don't want that life anymore (y/n)." I huff out, knowing Loki read my mind as he pulled me to his chest. "I want you only. You are my life."

"Oh god, you are so cheesy."

"Only for you." I wack Loki's chest in embarrassment as he chuckles, noticing that Sylvie had gone far ahead.

"Come on." I grab his hand and drag him over to where Sylvie was, him swiping dust on his fingers.

"Are we sure he's even still alive?" As soon as Loki says that, a door starts creaking and we all stand in front of it. The two Loki's had their weapons and I had the statues turned into spears aimed right at the door as it slowly opens to reveal a man?

"This is wild... Two Lokis and (y/n). I can't believe you're actually here, I mean I did, but actually, actually here. Just wild." I stare down at the man, the spears just a centimetre away from touching his skin. "Ooo, sharp." He chuckles, shoving the spear away.

"He Who Remains." Sylvie says and I visibly cringe at the name.

"Come on, let's talk in my office."

"Should we? I mean, sure he looks like a man but who knows if he has powers." I whisper and I notice that  Sylvie was already in the elevator. "Oh come on!" I throw my hands up, setting down the spears as Loki and I get in the elevator. It starts moving up, an uncomfortable silence filling the air.

"Don't tell me I'm a disappointment." The man says while eating an apple.

"No. Just a little bit easier to kill." Sylvie grunts as she swings her sword to completely miss because the due teleports away? She keeps trying but gives up when this guy just disappears, the elevator doors opening to reveal him standing outside.

"Come on in."

"How...?" I blink in confusion, walking out of the elevator with the Loki's. They were extra careful while this dude just poured tea for us, setting it down on tiny pedestals in front of some chairs.

"And one for you dear (y/n)." I jump as he suddenly appears behind me, passing me a cup of tea while Loki and Sylvie sat down in a chair each. I set the teacup down, leaning against Loki's chair.

"Been a long journey for you, hasn't it? Lot of running, lot of pain." The man looks at Sylvie before turning to Loki. "And you... You're a flea on the back of a dragon. In for one hell of a ride. But you did manage to hang on." The man chuckles before looking at me. "And dear (y/n), you have truly made me so proud with the choices that you made. Definitely made a lot that I never thought you would make. Kept me on my toes-"

"-I'm not sure you quite understand the situation. You've lost. We found you." Loki says while I was trying to wrap my mind around what this dude was on about.

"Duh. Of course you did." Sylvie growls, getting up to attack this man but he manages to avoid her swing like before. "So, we're still doing that, hmm? Let's get all this out of the way." The man ducks behind his desk, taking out two sheets of paper form a book he places on the table. "You can't kill me because I already know what's going to happen. See?" I walk over to read the paper and it was a transcript of what just happened a few minutes ago, just like at the TVA.

"It's a parlor trick." Loki says but the guy just shuts him down, explaining that he knows all, sees all. He knew and heard every little thing we did, paving the road for us to travel down. We weren't free at all. He controlled every single decision, even us finding him, he controlled it all.

"We're still your puppets..." I whimper and the man coos.

"Interesting, that your head would go to that (y/n) because technically, you are my puppet."
