Chapter 9
Dean woke up the next morning all sprawled out on top of Cas. He slowly lifted up a bit and wiped some drool from the side of his lips. He looked up to see Cas trying to hold back a laugh.
"... Sorry." He said trying to hold back a laugh as well. They looked at each other like that for about 30 seconds and then burst out laughing.
"Okay, we're going out again today so go get ready." Cas said after laughing.
"Yes, sir!" Dean said getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom. After getting ready Dean comes out but with Cas no where in sight.
"Cas?" He called out. He Hurd a slight knock on the door that made him jump and then in came Dr.Crowley.
"Dean," He started. "You missed your appointment yesterday, I realize you're still settling in but you have to come to these to see what exactly you need to get better."
"Sorry, I forgot..." Dean explained.
"That's alright, I just came to tell you that I can squeeze you in now for a check up." Dr.Crowley explained. Dean looked up from zipping up his sweater.
"N-now?"
"Yes... We have to figure out what medication you will need." Dr.Crowley said.
"Will there be... Needles?" Dean asked nervous.
"Don't worry," Dean let out a breath of relief. "Just about 5-6." Dr.Crowley answered walking out. Dean immediately tensed up.
"See you in 30 Minutes." He heard Dr.Crowley holler.
He heard a flap of wings and a voice that calmed him a little.
"Are you alright, Dean?"
"Yeah, just hate this..." Dean said.
"Hate what?" Asked Cas
"Everything, staying here, going for check ups... Going crazy."
"You're not going Crazy, Dean." Cas replied quickly.
"Then what's wrong with me?" Dean asked. Cas looked at him with a bittersweet smile.
Dean took a deep breath. "I can do this... I can do this." Dean said while sitting in the chair waiting for the doctor to come back, he could feel the presence of Cas but he wish he could see him. The doctor came in a few moments after that.
"Hello again Dean, shall we get started?" Dr.Crowley asked, while holding up a syringe.
"See it wasn't that bad..." Cas said as he walked with Dean back to his room.
"Yeah, not that bad." Dean said rubbing his butt where they put a needle... Cas let out a huff of a laugh.
"Okay, yes that was sort of a little bad but at least you didn't get it in your eyes or something." Dean winced at the thought of it.
"Yeah... No thank you." Dean said walking into his room. He closed the door.
"Okay, let's get going."
"You sure you still want to go since you just had your check up?" Cas asked.
"God, your worse than Sammy with his pregnant girlfriend. Yes, Cas I still want to." Dean replied getting his coat on.
"Good, get ready" Cas said and snapped them at the beach. "You stay here and i'll be right back" He added and left Dean alone at the beach. He walked around and stopped as he got closer to the water. He took off his shoes and stood on the place where the waves hit the shore. The water was warm against his feet and he thought he could go for a swim. He heard wings clapping and turned around just to see Cas holding a picnic basket and a blanket. He unfolded the blanket and put the basket on it.
"Picnic? Really,Cas?" Dean chuckled as he turned around and walked over to the blanket.
"Yes, I've seen many couples do this in my past years and it's what you people call 'romantic'." Cas replied.
"So is that what we are a couple?" Dean smirked. Cas stop dead in his tracks from opens up the picnic basket.
"I-I mean y-you know if you w-want-" Cas' stuttering was cut off by Dean's lips.
"Shh, let's eat." Dean said with a smile. Cas took a deap breath to calm down and got the pie out of the basket. Dean's eyes lit up at the sight and Cas felt a small smile appear on his lips.
"Ugh, I'm stuffed," Dean chuckles as he just ate almost a whole pie. "Why aren't you gonna have some?" He asked Cas.
"Oh, I don't eat." Cas replied.
"You don't what? How can you not eat?!" Dean asked surprised.
"Angels just don't eat... We don't need to so we don't and then when we do everything tastes like molecules..."
"Wow..." Dean laughed. "Well I guess that leaves dinner dates out of the question."
Cas thought about that for a moment.
"Dean? Would you like to do that stuff with me? Go on dates?"
"Yeah... Isn't that what we're doing?"
"Well yeah... But isn't that what couples do?" He thought about the next thing to say. "Would you like to be a couple... With me?"
Dean was silent for a moment and Cas got scared he looked up to see Dean with this look a look like Cas was his everything.
"Of course I do... You're basically the only thing that is keeping me going Cas I've been good when I'm with you... I've been happy. You may not understand, but I haven't seen monsters or had nightmares in a couple days and I've been actually been able to get sleep. Yes, I'd like to be a couple with you."
Cas smiled, yes he did understand cause he felt the same way.
"What's this?" Dean asked as he took out a camera from the basket and put it up to his eye.
"That's another thing I see couples do on dates they take photos for memories... Even though I know that being an angel will make me always remember I thought it would be nice for you to make memories." Cas explained. Dean took a picture of him and waited for it to print out to see the picture.
"Wow..." He said looking mesmerized.
"What?" Cas asked curious. Desk then slowly turned the photo around almost as if he didn't want to take his eyes off of it. The photo turned to Cas and Cas laughed at it.
"Oh yeah, I forgot it does that with pictures." He said pointing at the picture... Where it was him looking out to the sea but it showed his wings and halo. Dean quickly turned it back to him so he could look at it again.
"Just when I thought you wouldn't get any more amazing." He said almost to himself. Cas lowly grew a small smile on his face and a blush on his cheeks.
"Dean, i want you to have this." said Cas taking a small bottle with a galaxy like thing in it.
"What is this?" Dean looked at the little bottle and took it from Cas's hand.
"Thats a small part of my Grace. I want you to have it. This way i will always be with you no matter what." Cas smiled and Dean wrapped his arms around Cas's neck.
"Thanks Cas." The two men fell back on the sand Dean on top of Cas. He leaned in and brushed his lips against Cas'.
"I love it, thank you." said Dean as he kissed the angel again.
"Today was fun." Dean said walking into his room he turned around towards Cas but he wasn't there Dean's heart skipped a beat and he heard a familiar voice that he had forgotten for the past couple days.
"Where have you been Dean?!" Asked Lisa.
