"H-Hide?" Was all the young white haired male could say. He was awake, he was sitting up, but he had no smile, no laughter of happiness could be heard, but instead an uneasy silence filled the room.

As Kaneki began to look closer at the male he could see the defined red lines running down Hides face. He flinched thinking of how much Hide must have gone through 'what happened between them?' "Hide please" nothing.

Kaneki pulled his legs up to his chest and wept, he could feel the pain in his wrist and thighs from all the cuts. So little yet after so many they just don't go away. He wept out his friends name not wanting to believe that this was real. 'He's awake, he is alive, but he's........he's like me'

"H-Hide please look at me, please tell me your ok, please just show me that your Hide" movement finally but not much only a tilt a short movement in his neck. He was now looking at Kaneki but it wasn't the face he wanted to see, his eyes where dull, one hungry, the other dark from so much rest.

Kaneki could see the struggle in his friends movements. Slow, unsteady, tired, 'he's hungry really hungry' Hide had been out for a few months and did have ghoul organs for a while. Kaneki realized with a jolt that he had to feed him, he to feed him 'him'.

Kaneki gulped and began to undo the buttons on his shirt and slipped it off, Hide watching his movement slowly and his eyes followed him as he made his way over to the bed.

He sat in front of Hide taking the oranges haired boy by his shoulder and hugged him. "I'm happy to see your ok know eat before you pass out again"

Hide realized with a gulp what he had to do, slowly grazed his tongue over the salty tasting exposed skin causing the other to shiver. He smiled and bit into his best friends shoulder only to be met with the most amazing flavor of his life.
