Lily Xu Adachi's POV:

Feeling a sense of unease,I walked to Krist to ask if I could head out to take a breather.

When I received the heads up,I exited the training area. I could hear the whispers of several bladers as they questioned my skills as a blader.

When I was outside of the training area,I heaved a sigh of relief before sprinting towards the direction of the forest.

Once I was inside the forest,I felt so calm. The wind was peacefully blowing through my hair as I walked deeper into the forest. I placed my hand on a tree,tracing back all my precious memories that I had spent in this place.

That's when I heard a rustle,I quickly turned my head to see a deer looking at me,it then tilted its head to a side which made me break into a slight smile.

"I must be seeing things now.."I said to myself,staring at the deer's antics which were vastly similar to Free's.

The deer then turned around and started walking into the forest,I curiously followed it and when the both us emerge from the bush,I could barely contain my tears.

The deer led me to a cabin where there was greenery growing all around the walls. I used my hand to swipe off the moss covered door knob and turned it before opening it.

Just like I thought,this place never changed. I let a small tear go down my face at the final realisation that I was finally back home.

"Haha.."

I quickly turned around when I heard that soft tinkle of laughter. My eyes widened when I saw the image of my younger self running around as my father chased me.

But even that image was just an illusion,a normal memory that I could only hold on so tight.

I began walking around the small cabin,softly touching everything as I traced back my precious memories of when I was a child.

At one moment,I felt a click when I placed my hand underneath my father's desk,that's when a drawer popped out which shocked me since I never seen it before.

Inside the drawer was a notebook,clearly aged and clearly delicate. I gently took the book out as I blew the cover of dust off it,I then opened it to see the unexpected.

The notebook contained all of Kunoichi's stats,details everything. Even moves that I never seen before,however my attention was then diverted to a drawing of Drain Fafnir.

"Now that I recall,this was the book where dad always wrote about the beys he make."I thought to myself in realisation while flipping through the pages of the old notebook to see sketches of Kunoichi,Fafnir and others.

But what surprised me was that the last few pages of the notebook were torn off,that severely puzzled me since I knew that dad never had the habit to tear pages from his notebook.

"Someone must have been here but who?.." I asked myself,curious about what might have happened to the last few pages,the only clue I had was the first few words in the page before it got torn off.

"Kunoichi's fi-"

That's where the words stopped before the pages got torn.

I shook my head as I decided to not think too much before turning the pages back to where it was about Kunoichi.

I reread my partner's information and studied the diagram,thinking of the winning image I might be able to get to at least be a worthwhile of Free's time.

"What do you think we can do Kunoichi?" I asked,taking my partner out from my pouch as I looked at her,the wind of the forest then blew through my hair as I left the door to the cabin open.

Closing my eyes,I let the wind bring me to my thoughts. Flashes of green,blue flashed through my head before I opened my eyes in realisation.

The image I was waiting for finally appeared and I quickly rushed out of the cabin,taking the notebook with me as I rushed to a nearby tree.

Using my hand,I grabbed onto a tree branch before using it to boost my body upwards to go onto of the branch before standing up.

Turning my head to see another tree,I used my foot to once again boost myself and jump towards another branch. I used my hand to hang onto it before getting myself on it once again.

I looked down to see myself high above the ground,I took Kunoichi out and twisted her on my launcher before bending down.

Before anyone could stop me,I jumped down from the branch and started falling down towards the ground while counting down,at the count of one,I pulled the string cord to launch Kunoichi to my right.

Due to my momentum when falling down,my partner picked up serious speed and quickly landed onto a leave before making its way to another one.

Kunoichi was touching every leave and making it fall before moving on to the next one as she continued going faster after every launch off from each leaf.

"So this was what dad wanted me to see." I thought to myself with a grin on my face before turning my body around to make a soft landing onto the ground by supporting my body weight.

When I lifted my head up,I saw the leaves all falling down from the trees as they landed on the ground,before I could blink an eye,Kunoichi swooped down and cut all of them into teeny tiny pieces before stopping.

As I picked Kunoichi up,I pat my hair,making all the leaves fall off my head before heading back towards the training area to have my shot against Free.

For some reason,being home was just what I needed...

When I returned to BC Sol,I saw Free finishing off the last blader and was about to leave when I challenged him to a battle,clearly shocking Krist,Valt and the others.

"So the run-away has returned,took you long enough." Stan commented,a smirk evident on his face as he crossed his arms as I made my way to the stadium.

I took Kunoichi out and twisted her on my launcher before raising her up,I could feel the determination and fighting spirit radiating from my silent yet deadly partner.

Free was holding Drain Fafnir in his hands and placed it towards the stadium while the referee announced the first match and set.

"3...."

"2...."

"1...."

"LET IT RIP!" All the bladers including me yelled as I pulled the string cord,launching Kunoichi into the stadium.

Free merely flicked his wrist to launch Fafnir into the stadium using a manual launch.

Drain Fafnir slowly made its way into the centre,that's when Kunoichi went in for the first attack and contact. However,unlike the other beys that battled before her,Kunoichi managed to strike at the places without rubber,nullifying Free's spin steal.

Valt Aoi's POV:

"Wicked! Look at Amy go!" I exclaimed in excitement as he watched Kunoichi relentlessly slam into Fafnir over and over again.

Stan and the others in the top team were confused and shocked at the fact that Amy was able to stop Fafnir in its tracks.

I looked towards Free with a grin on my face to finally see someone able to go up against him,yet he stayed silent as he watched Fafnir,completely not fazed.

Before I could ask Honcho why,I heard a loud bang to see Kunoichi in the air while Amy was looking at her partner like it was something normal.

Lily Xu Adachi's POV:

"NOW!" I yelled,my resonance appeared as Kunoichi formed while coming down to attack Fafnir from above.

"Kage Barrage!"

With that said,Kunoichi slammed onto Drain Fafnir's layer from above striking it from below,avoiding the rubber parts which were the cause of spin steal.

However the unexpected happened and Kunoichi burst into pieces without any explanation.

Free De La Hoya's POV:
I was rather shock with Lily's attack,to think that she used that attack surprised me.

That was the move that she tried mastering so much when we were little,looks like she almost got it down.

I picked Fafnir up and placed him in my pocket before picking the pieces of Kunoichi up as I twisted it back into place.

Waking over to Lily I handed her bey back to her before patting her on her shoulder and whispering.

"Good try and welcome back."

With that said I waved goodbye and placed my hands in my pocket before making my way out of the training area and to my usual spot.

Kristina Kuroda's POV:
"Seems like you haven't lost hope for her,if anyone can reignite her love for blading,its you,Free." I thought to myself with a slight smile on my face as I watched Free leave the training area while Lily stood beside Valt,Rantaro and Kitt.

"That move was amazing!" Valt complimented Lily in awe after he watched the showdown.

"Thanks."Lily replied with a nervous laugh as she fiddled with her bey in unease. Clearly upset that she didn't put up a battle fight eventhough she did much better than the others.

"Looks like its gonna take some time before the guardian of the forest truly returns."I whispered to myself with determination in my voice that I would do everything in my power to make sure she returns.

Lily Xu Adachi's POV:
"That was a slow motion burst....now how can I counter that? dad's book might have something about it,or maybe if I can finish it in one strike...no way Kunoichi's attack can't do that." I in coherently mumbled to myself,analysing the match before while furiously thinking of a loophole to beat Free and Fafnir.

"You alright,your kinda freaking us out bro." Rantaro commented. Placing a hand on my shoulder to snap me oit of my train of thoughts.

I turned my head to see him,Valt and Kitt all looking at me with nervous looks on their face because of my serious mumbling.

"Seriously buddy,you gotta take a chill pill." Valt added on,laughing as he said that.

Upon hearing that,I placed a hand on my head and scratched it with a flustered look on my face about my constant small habit.

"And that concludes the try outs! Thank you all for participating! Now its time to continue with training." Trad said towards the crowd of bladers.

After the try outs,Valt,Rantaro,Kitt,Sasha and Honey all went to a bey stadium to practice their launching and moves.

I decided to take the time to sit at the benches to look through the old notebook to figure out more moves I could use with Kunoichi.

A few hours later,it was night time and everyone was all tucked into bed,except for a certain pink headed female.

Namely me.

I ran through the forest to arrive back at my little cabin to unexpectedly see a blond male standing outside of the door.

When I took a step forward,a twig underneath my foot broke in half which made the blondie turn around from the sound.

Dark orbs meet lazy brown ones.

That two streaks of red which stood out from the rest of its kin.

It was Free.

"Wassup?" He asked,his head tilted to one side as he looked at me,his expression keeping his normal poker face.

"Hi?" I replied with uncertainty in my voice,it was a shock that he was here out of all places.

"So what are you doing here?" I plopped myself onto a tree stump,keeping my gaze on Free.

"I just came to clean the swing." He casually replied,pointing towards a swing where it was now free of moss.

"Isn't that the swing we used to play on as kids?" I asked fondly looking at the swing where me and Free always played on after each bey battle we had.

"And you been maintaining it for six years?"

"Yah,I kinda like it."Free casually replied before going back to the awkward silence between the two of us.

"Our battle just now,I had fun." He continued saying,breaking the silence while I nervously looked at the ground.

"Of course you did,you won." I said under my breath,glancing towards the side,a tad bit upset that the gap between the two of us grew much wider.

It seemed just like yesterday where the two of us were always laughing,playing and enjoying life like any normal kids.

"It's fun to win,but its fun to fight against you after so long." He replied in a low voice which just made me stare at him in disbelief,wondering if my ears were playing tricks on me.

That's when the two of us heard a rustle sound to see the friendly deer pop out once more and tilted its head as it looked at us.

Both Free and I tilted our head in a certain angle as we slightly smiled while glancing at our deer friend.

Free De La Hoya's POV:
I took a peek at Lily,her long hair was slowly being blown by the wind.

"No matter what,I'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe" I said to myself with determination in my tone,a serious look on my face as I recalled about the promise I made to myself six years ago.

After seeing Lily's tears running down her face as she cried for her father's passing. The complete devastation she felt when her last blood related family left her alone in this cruel world.

Destiny took uncle Shojou while the world took Lily.

The cruel and harsh world who made her abandon her past as well as break her to pieces.

Just where was her well deserved Guardian Angel?
