Lily Xu Adachi's POV:

Just two days before the friendly match with SunBat United,Trad and Kristina gathered all of us in one place to announce the three people representing BC Sol.

"We will be announcing the three bladers today! The first and Captain of the team is Free!" Trad exclaimed,no surprise there since he was BC Sol's Ace blader.

My heart raced in the silence that Trad was in,only two spots remained and I really wanted a shot against SunBat United.

If I can beat them than I'm just one step closer to compete in the upcoming World League,and I desperately wanted that chance in a life time.

"The second and vice captain of the team is Amy Xu Watanabe!" Trad announced,earning gasps from everybody including myself who was just stiff from the news.

"No way..." I whispered to myself,obviously not believing the news I heard,I was glad that I made pass the cut but I didn't expect to be Vice Captain.

I nervously turned my head to look at the people beside me and sure enough I could see people like Stan sending glares towards my direction.

I felt like an egg that was about to crack under pressure.

"And the last one is Valt Aoi!" Trad continued saying,upon hearing that,Valt leaped upwards in joy as our friends congratulated us for making it in the team.

Before any other celebration could happen,Trad blew into his whistle again to dismiss us as well as tell us to head back to training.

As I was walking towards a bey stadium,Stan walked pass me and shoved me to one side before saying that the stadium were for the top bladers and not for lucky people like me.

Sasha was just about to come to my defence when I placed a hand on her shoulder before shaking my head as a sign to not start arguing for my sake.

Before another word could be said,I walked out of the training room to head to Kris's office to ask her to strip myself off from the vice-Captain role.

It just doesn't suit me.

Kristina Kuroda's POV:

As I was reading a book,I heard a knock at my door. I lifted my head up and said said "enter"

No surprises that it was Lily.

I fixed my vision onto Lily who clearly looked like she was going to crack from the pressure I might have placed her in.

"You came to ask me to remove your placing as Vice Captain,didn't you?" I asked,looking at my dear friend straight in the eye who simply nodded.

"Lily,you deserve that spot on the team,you managed to do considerably well against Free the other day." I continued saying,making my way to Lily who was in front of me.

"And I think that your analytic skills would greatly benefit the team,and that's why we picked you to be Vice Captain."

"But that was last time,I lost all my skills as a kid,after what happened,plus,I'm Amy Xu Watanabe so maybe you and Free should stop calling me Lily."She silently whispered,I let out a sigh as I heard that.

This was going to be difficult since she still haven't gotten over her trauma.

But I couldn't blame her,she has all rights to be mentally scarred after what happened.

"No matter what happens,you will always and forever be Lily Xu Adachi,my best friend and the guardian of the forest." I replied,remembering the nickname Lily earned as a child for all the times when she chased wood cutters out of the forest of BC Sol.

"You out of all people should know that running away from your history won't do any good,only you can mend that broken heart."

"Lastly,I will not be taking away your rightfully earned position."

Lily Xu Adachi's POV:

After listening to Krist's words of wisdom,I nodded in understanding before opening the door to leave her office,before I left,I thanked Krist who waved her hand at me with a smile on her face.

As I was walking along the hallways,Krist's words kept repeating inside my head like a cassette which was still used.

"Maybe she's right,maybe I really gotta go back to being me."

Two Days Later:

It was the day of the friendly match,both me and Valt were at the place where the matches were being held and Free wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Valt turned around to go look for Free when he expectantly ran into him instead.

Rantaro who was with us as a sub immediately went up to Free's face after he so called appeared like a ghost and that it was creepy.

"You still believe in that?"Free asked,his hands tucked inside his pockets,his head tilted to a certain angle as he looked at Rantaro in a sort of disbelief yet teasing manner.

"Stop sneaking around like a ghost!" Rantaro exclaimed

"Do you seriously still believe in those stuff?"Free replied with a sigh

"I'm saying don't trip me up!" Rantaro retorted while Valt stood in the middle of the 'arguement zone.'

"Than stay alert or I'll see you next fall."Free simply replied,turning around to walk away in order to start the traditions by having a handshake between the teams.

Rantaro yelled in frustration as he ruffled his hair."Makes my brain hurt,my comebacks can't even compete with this guy!His too good"he commented before slouching.

"Snap out of it!Try to not lose focus.Are you with me?!" Valt enthusiastically exclaimed before following behind Free while Rantaro trailed behind.

I looked at the two in slight amusement before walking after them.

After a few minutes,the team of SunBat United came,there was a Male with golden blonde hair,it was tied in a small sort of pony tail and was let lose on his shoulder. He was also wearing a purple coloured coat which had a dragon picture imprinted on it.

Both Valt and Rantaro looked at the captain of SunBat United in utter shock,their mouths hanging and eyes bulge at what they were seeing.

Turns out the captain of SunBat United was one of Valt and Rantaro's teammates back in Japan.

Just then Rantaro pushed me towards Wakiya.

"And this here is our Vice captain and our new friend,Amy Watanabe." Rantaro said as I nervously waved towards his friend with a small awkward smile on my face.

Unexpectedly,Wakiya took a closer look at my face before commenting that he had seen me somewhere before,but I quickly disperse the thought before he could say anything.

Then there was another teammate who went by the name of Silas,he had green hair with a yellow lighting streak of hair which popped out. His glasses and grin just kinda made the amount of menace around him go up by a tenfold.

And the last to finish off the rooster of the team was a red haired male named Ataru. The three bladers had one thing in common and that was to beat Free since he is the world champion and ace blader on the team.

"Please step forward and shake hands."The referee stated.

With that said,the two teams shook hands and promised to play by the books and have good sportsmanship.

Soon after,Wakiya stepped towards the bey stadium since he was the one who was going to battle in the first match.

"And Sun Bat United decided to send in their captain! Wakiya Murasaki!" Hanami exclaimed

Both Valt and Rantaro protested as they wanted Free to pick one of them to battle against Wakiya.

Free's POV:
Valt and Rantaro both wanted to go against their friend while Lily just wanted to avoid a battle. It was easy to pick who would go first.

I pointed towards Lily"The quiet one,your up."I simply stated since I was the captain and made the final decision.

The other two groaned in disappointment while Lily let out a sigh from her getting picked. I simply smirked at the thought.

"If I want her to come back,I just gotta be harsh."I thought,knowing that that was the best solution.

"And from BC Sol,we have a new comer who recently joined the team! Amy Watanabe!" Hanami exclaimed as Lily walked towards the bey stadium as she held her launcher.

Lily's POV:
"So your my opponent,funny that Krist added you on the team despite me asking for Valt and Rantaro." Wakiya said while I simply nodded at his statement.

The referee than asked for the both of us to exchange our beys for the bey check.

Wakiya's bey was a defense type,just my luck.I realised that one of its part was free-spinning which meant that most of Kunoichi's attacks wouldn't be able to do much.

"This is going to be a tough battle,and I know it."I thought to myself as I racked my brain to figure out a strategy to counter Tempest Wyvorn.

"I hope your ready to lose as I don't plan on losing." Wakiya said as I handed his bey back to him while I received mine from him.

The two of us went to the two opposite side of the bey stadium and twisted our beys onto our launcher as the referee called for the first battle.

"First Battle! Set!"

"2"

"1"

"Let it....Rip!"

After that countdown,the two beys were launched into the stadium.

Tempest Wyvorn already made its way to the centre position while Kunoichi was speeding around the outer ring of the stadium,without any hesitation,it accelerated towards the bey in the centre and strikes before returning to the outer ring. But due to the free-spinning part of Wyvorn,the attack barely even left a scratch.

It was an extremely big disadvantage for us Kunoichi lacks power in exchange for much greater speed,but in a battle like this,I can't find a way to beat Wyvorn.

And not long,Wyvorn slammed into Kunoichi,sending her flying out of the ring.

One shot,that was all it took.

The referee then called for the second match,I raised my launcher out and focussed on the stadium,not before looking at Wakiya who had an evident smirk on his face.

"If this is the best you do than I don't know why your wasting my time." He commented,after that statement left his mouth,I tightened my grip on my launcher,more determined than ever to win.

After the beys were launched again,history repeated itself as Kunoichi struggled against Wyvorn.

"If this is the best you can do than your wasting my time." Wakiya said,clearly bored with the lack of challenge which was presented to him. Afterall BC Sol is known for its strong players like Free.

Just as I was about to give Kunoichi a different command,someone entered the room without anyone but me noticing him.

I did not know who he is,but for some reason,him being here just sent a chill down my spin.

However,I felt like I seen him somewhere before.

The male was wearing a formal suit,his hair having the colours of brown,blond and white. We made slight eye contact before smirking as he made his way towards Krist.

For some reason,I started having quick flashbacks to when I was younger.

Flashback:
I was standing at my house door with fruits in my hands.

Me opening the door

The shouts from two adult males yelling at each other

Papa was arguing at someone,that's a first

Them stopping once they saw me at the door

The other male bid goodbye, he walked passed and patted me on the head.

"I'll see you soon."his words echoed before leaving.

The only thing I remembered were those icey blue cold eyes.

End Of Flashback

I shook my head to get myself into the game as Kunoichi quickly slammed into Wyvorn,managing to finally get it out of the centre position.

That's when I realised that the male who just came,was the same person from my memories.

The person who was arguing with father,but why was he here?

Who was he?

That's when I heard a loud bursting sound and looked down to see Kunoichi in three pieces while Wyvorn was still spinning strong.

"Tempest Wyvorn with a burst finish,Sun Bat United tales the first match with a score of three to nothing."

"And there you have it folks! The first battle goes to Wakiya Murasaki of Sun Bat United! Will BC Sol be able to make a comeback!" Hanami exclaimed,probably making the audience start thinking of who to support.

And I just flunked the first battle.

Picking Kunoichi up,I fixed her back to place before walking over to Valt and the others.

"Sorry guys." My head hung down as I apologised for losing and giving the team a bad start.

"Don't worry! You did your best,I'll beat Wakiya next!" Valt replied,excited since he was the next one to battle. I nodded my head with a slight smile before sitting down on the bench.

"You got distracted back there,that's why you lost."Free commented,his eyes closed as he leaned his back against the wall."keep this up and you won't have fun losing."

"I understand."I simply replied,choosing not to say much,my grip on my bey tightened at the feeling of disappointment I felt for letting down.

My father,my teammates,BC Sol and Kunoichi.

Just how much longer can I keep this up?
