"calling all passengers bound for america. flight bt-69, now boarding."
the girl hurriedly rushed towards the crowded airport's waiting area as she successfully forced her way in through the security guards.
she was already trying to catch her breath as she continued to run, hoping that she would be just in time to stop a particular someone from leaving.
"p-park... jimin! where are you?!" she screamed on top of her lungs, not caring if people were already staring at her like she's a mad man.
"j-jimin!" she stopped her pace as she carefully scanned her eyes around the area while panting heavily, desperately trying to find the right guy that she was looking for. she hoped to see someone orange-headed, vibrant enough to be seen easily by people.
"last call for boarding, all passengers bound for america, please proceed to the plane." the whole place's speakers echoed.
it was hopeless, she didn't find any sign of him.
he... he's really going to leave, isn't he? he didn't even say goodbye to me.
she tried going pass the waiting lounge of the departure area, but unfortunately there were security guards who prevented her from entering since she didn't have any flight ticket.
at that point, she didn't know what to do anymore. she was helpless. she knew that there was no other choice rather than giving up. the plane must've left by now.
she sat on one of the benches of the airport, deciding to accept the fact that she's too late.
jimin was gone.
"that midnight..." she whispered to herself in a barely audible voice. her throat felt dry as she slowly realized everything that just happened.
"if you succeed on this task, then i will consider all your debts paid. deal?"
all the things which jimin said last midnight all made sense to her.
"deal."
"remember, it's almost 1am. here's the challenge, in a duration of twenty-four hours starting now, you must not shed a tear."
"i'm such an idiot, why did i accept your deal back then?" her voice suddenly cracked.
"that's... that's completely absurd. that's too easy. are you sure that's enough task for me to pay you back?"
"yeah."
she felt her inner nostrils sting as she choked in her own saliva, hot liquid was starting to moist her eyes.
"why would i cry when there's nothing to cry about? don't you know that the last time i did that was about four years ago? i don't cry easily, park jimin."
"stupid, stupid park jimin. how are you so sure that i'm going to cry just because you left without a word? you're so conceited," she laughed bitterly.
"that's why you could probably achieve it. it's easy enough for you to do, so that's a bigger advantage for you to pay me back."
her chest tightened, and that aching feeling of depression was there again. but this time, it's somewhat... heavier than usual.
"you're so unfair, jimin. you are so, so, so, so, unfair. i... i hate you," she uncontrollably released a muffle of sobs, her shoulders heaving up and down.
"sometimes i can't get how you're mind works. but yeah, i'll do it."
jimin's smiling face flashed in her mind.
"good, then."
there in that one airport bench, sat a girl who, for the first time in so long, finally cried her feelings out as her hot tears streamed down her soft cheeks nonstop.
"how-- how am i supposed to pay my debts now?" she bawled aloud like a lost little child.
suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around her, pulling her close to the person's body.
her eyes widened when she realized who it was.
"j-jungkook?"
he gave her a comforting smile, "it's okay, i'm here for you."
his words were exactly what she needed to hear right at that moment. in contrary to that, her sadness cells must've have taken over every part of her body as she can't seem to stop herself from sobbing.
ah, that orange punk. she actually loves him. she wouldn't have cried this bad if she didn't. jungkook's own thoughts made him feel down. he couldn't help but feel hurt, too, since he's watching the girl he likes cry because of another man.
he held her tighter, his palm supporting the back of her head as she cried on his shoulder while his other arm was circled tightly around her shoulders.
he decided to follow what he wanted to do, and that was to act on his feelings for her, even if it means getting hurt in the end.
he cried, too.
anyone who'd see this side of jeon jungkook would think that he's a selfless man when it comes to love.
even me.
i flipped the envelope in my hand, just to check twice the words written on it.
'from: jungkook =)'
i happened to pick it up earlier when the girl dropped it obliviously as she was rushing on her way.
"should i give this back to her?" i whispered to myself.
then, i mischievously smiled, "not really."
"calling all passengers bound for england. flight bt-88, now boarding," the speakers echoed, signaling that it's time for me to go.
without looking back, i grabbed my things as i walked my way to the plane.
