Chapter 1: The Awakening

In the depths of a forgotten gem temple, shattered fragments of Aquamarine and the Eyeball Ruby lay scattered across the cold stone floor. Their forms were broken but aligned, their essence dispersed into pieces. It wouldn't be long as the splash of diamond essence collided with the stones bringing a restorative energy that could bring shattered gems back to life.

Suddenly, a surge of light pulsed through the temple, engulfing the broken gems. They trembled and quivered as their shattered pieces were drawn together, reforming their original shapes. Aquamarine's blue gemstone and Eyeball Ruby's fiery red gemstone once again glistened with newfound life.

As the light faded, Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby looked at each other, their eyes wide with shock and confusion. Unaware of their surroundings,they stumbled back, pressing themselves against the temple wall. Their mouths opened, and from deep within them, the distorted, fear-filled voice of "The Connie" escaped.

"The Connie is coming! Run! Hide!" their voices echoed in unison, filled with terror.

Their panicked gazes darted around the temple, searching for a way out, but before they could gather their thoughts, a cloaked and masked figure emerged from the shadows. The woman approached them slowly, a sly smirk playing on her lips.

"Welcome back, my shattered gems," she said, her voice dripping with amusement. "I must say, you two really outdid yourselves this time. Getting caught, shattered, and imprisoned in Little Homeworld's R&D back room by that little human Connie. How utterly pathetic, but expected."

Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby exchanged bewildered glances, unable to comprehend what was happening. Who was this mysterious woman, and how did she bring them back?

"Who are you?" Aquamarine managed to stammer, her voice laced with a mix of fear and defiance.

The woman chuckled, her laughter mocking and derisive. "Names are of no consequence, my dear. But if you have to call me anything,call me Smirks. As for how I brought you back, well, let's just say I have my ways."

"You're human,right?" Eyball asked brows furrowed in uncertainty.

"Very much." Smilrks teased," the same type who beat you two, three times over."

Aquamarine's eyes narrowed as she glared at Smirks. "Why did you bring us back? What do you want from us?"

"Drama and entertainment."Smirks stepped closer, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "You see, I have no interest in you or your vendetta against Steven, Connie, Little Homeworld, the Crystal Gems, or Era 3 as a whole. No, no. My motivations lie elsewhere. But I must say, your war against them could be quite entertaining."

Confusion washed over Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby as they tried to make sense of Smirks' words. Why would she find their vendetta entertaining?

"You see," Smirks continued, her voice dripping with mockery, " i know how Connie defeated your fusion effortlessly. Lucky for you, she didn't care to follow up with her threat of experimenting on you. How utterly generous of her." She laughed at the two gems. But I have plans for Connie, and I believe your war can be quite useful in those plans...As well as something to pass the time."

Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby exchanged glances once more, their anger flaring up. They had been defeated before, but this time would be different. Fusing their powers, they transformed into Bluebird Azurite, a small gem fusion that radiated rage and determination.

"Destroy Steven, Connie, and Era 3 once and for all," Bluebird Azurite declared, her voice filled with newfound confidence. "We will bring them down in a war they can't possibly win."

Smirks simply smirked in response, her amusement evident.

"Ha! Bluebird, you think too lightly of your foes, but since I'm a nice woman, I'll provide you with an army of forced fused abominations for your war." She sucked her teeth, with a grin "Not that it matters, I already know what's gonna happen."

Bluebird Azurite was momentarily taken aback, confused by Smirks' cryptic words. But the prospect of finally defeating Steven and his allies overwhelmed her, pushing aside any doubts or concerns. She brushed off Smirks' remark, too giddy at the idea of victory to question it.

"Very well," Bluebird Azurite said, her voice dripping with determination. "We accept your offer. With your army of gem mutants, we will crush the Crystal Gems and lay waste to Little Homeworld. Steven and Connie will fall, and Era 3 will be nothing more than a forgotten relic, and I already know how to begin by kidnapping 'The Connie!'"

Smirks chuckled, her masked face hiding her true intentions. "Yeah, sure. Just remember, Bluebird , make it interesting. Entertain me."

And with that, the stage was set. Bluebird Azurite, fueled by vengeance and a thirst for victory, would lead her army of gem mutants into battle against Steven, Connie, and their allies. Little did she know, Smirks had her own machinations in mind, and the outcome of this war would play right into her hands.

"Time to steal a Heartberry." Smirks stated to herself as she followed her new excitable tool.
